I know it was hard work and a lot of unexpected hold-ups, but the end result is just stunning. And this should last for many years to come. At least with this fence it won't fade, right? The most you should have to do is power wash when it needs it. Love the tree with the lights, just so pretty. I know you are like me, you are in charge of the power washing. I can't wait till spring here, where I can get out there and do power washing around our home. It's one of my favorite projects. I also want to get some really nice, big flower pots and put some plants on our back patio, after everything is cleaned up. And set up a little bistro table with a couple of chairs to sit out and enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings before it gets too hot during the day. I also want to put some bird feeders out. Things have calmed down a bit here, and I was so exhausted today, I slept most of the day. Anyway, it was so nice to see your face and hear your voice. It did my heart some good for sure. Yes it was hard work, and a couple of the days I could have cried my hands were that cold, I don’t do well with cold hands or feet, but it was worth it. It’s not supposed to fade so 🤞 and you’re so right, a power wash now and again to keep it clean, and bobs your uncle done x I’m the same, I love to power wash, it’s so much fun and so satisfying when you see the clean bits. We have a couple of large pots at either side of the porch, and 2 half barrels for plants, and we will do hanging baskets, but that’s all for the front, least maintenance as possible, as we have a back garden that’s our project for this year. I may, like you, get a nice small,patio set for the front to enjoy a cuppa, or another beverage on a nice sunny morning, but that will be all. We have a farm at the back of us, and we have a lot of crows, because they come to eat the cows food, they are terrible birds, they fight all the little birds and eat there food, so I’m going to try and think of a way to feed the little ones in a way that the big crows can’t steel their food. Worrying about your hubby will be taking all your strength, so if you need to rest and sleep, then that’s what your body is telling you, so you must listen to it my darling friend. I wish I had a teleport superpower, I would come and help you for sure. Rest lots, stay well and I’m sending you so much love, and the biggest hugs ever. Have the best day possible sweetheart ❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful job but might I make a suggestion? Paint the concrete posts (and even the gravel boards) either black or grey to match the panels and the fence will look seamless. My neighbours and I painted our concrete posts the same colour as the panels and just somehow, it completely changes the look.

Yes, maintenance free is definitely the way forward. We've done this over a period of time and it's really worth it. It looks lovely Lynn, you both must be very pleased. That looks wonderful lynn your husband Harvey has done an excellent job, my husband has our new fencing to do yet had the panels weeks now but he still not back to normal yet after the shingles, if you dont mind me asking how long before you felt better again after your shingles illness ,your home looks even more beautiful now
It will get done eventually Irene. Well it started on the 17th Dec, and I still have the rash, it’s shrinking and fading, I still get twinges, and my tummy is very swollen on the shingles side, but I would say that I’ve felt much better this last couple of weeks, I’m just listening to my body, and if it tells me I’m tired, I rest. When did your hubby start with it ❤️❤️❤️

We're doing the same & had all the front redone last summer..got rid of the lawn & had it all landscaped & all down the side driveway.. It looks so much better & much better to manage.. Still have a front hedge & a border & space for some summer bulbs & pots .. Can't believe how different & spacious it looks now.. & yours does too.. Fabulous job Lynn xx 🤗
Wow Beverley, it sounds like you’ve had major jobs done there, but it does sound beautiful. We aren’t really gardeners, we dabble but that’s it. Hanging baskets and a few pots will be our limit lol. Isn’t it a lovely feeling when a job comes to fruition and you can look at it and be proud ❤️❤️❤️

I'm OK Lynn, that x ray I had before Christmas, confirmed that I now have severe arthritis in left thumb and wrist.... I dont have many more joints to get arthritis in lol.... and have been to hospital today for a glaucoma check up.... just have to wait for results of that.... but apart from that I'm OK love thanks for asking xxxx

We replaced our wood fencing about 30 years ago. Couldn't get that type of fencing then, ours are concrete, which unfortunately need painting every few years, but my lovely neighbours do it for me. Thank you Sandra, it’s a renovation, it used to be a building for housing a horse driven coach, the horse, and a loft for hay etc, we’ve extended, and added bits over time, it’s a very old building ❤️

We're doing the same & had all the front redone last summer..got rid of the lawn & had it all landscaped & all down the side driveway.. It looks so much better & much better to manage.. Still have a front hedge & a border & space for some summer bulbs & pots .. Can't believe how different & spacious it looks now.. & yours does too.. Fabulous job Lynn xx 🤗
Wow Beverley, it sounds like you’ve had major jobs done there, but it does sound beautiful. We aren’t really gardeners, we dabble but that’s it. Hanging baskets and a few pots will be our limit lol. Isn’t it a lovely feeling when a job comes to fruition and you can look at it and be proud ❤️❤️❤️

I'm OK Lynn, that x ray I had before Christmas, confirmed that I now have severe arthritis in left thumb and wrist.... I dont have many more joints to get arthritis in lol.... and have been to hospital today for a glaucoma check up.... just have to wait for results of that.... but apart from that I'm OK love thanks for asking xxxx

Hi Lynn. The front of your house looks really good. Harvey has done an amazing job, isn't it great to have a husband who can turn his hand to anything. Worth his weight in gold. We replaced our wood fencing about 30 years ago. Couldn't get that type of fencing then, ours are concrete, which unfortunately need painting every few years, but my lovely neighbours do it for me. Thank you Sandra, it’s a renovation, it used to be a building for housing a horse driven coach, the horse, and a loft for hay etc, we’ve extended, and added bits over time, it’s a very old building ❤️
