Great plot, characters, music, setting and most of all, the climatic train chase has to be the best part of the movie as it reminds me of several train chases like Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong Trousers! Hugh Grant did steal the movie as the villain. I can see Grant playing Lord Rogers in The Swan Princess remake if they stop doing way too many sequels.

But...when I saw how sad he was when he was being sentenced, I let go of my anger on him because I couldn't stay mad at him, I felt convinced that he was starting to change into good after his great performance in the end. Phoenix is a darned bad guy for putting Paddington for his crimes and he pushes the bear into the train car and leave him to sink into the river🏞️. He is a bully and a hostile and hideous bad guy to Paddington for throwing the bear into the car. 😡😠I wish he can disappear from this world or pay penalty 💰 to Paddington's family. Going to jail for his act isn't enough for his emotionless, hideous and greedy crime!🤬

@Thomas tsang Thomas I get what you are saying but not all criminal or villain deserve a punishment even though they done something awful to the hero. Bad peoples are people who never reach their goal or dream but such as Phoenix all he ever wanted is to be shower with cheer from the crowds.

Tbh, he should have got more than 10 years, because he should also have been charged and convicted of lying to court, and further charges of conspiracy to steal after trying to steal all those jewels. Maybe then he could have put on more and even bigger shows.
