Heya, wondering if you can show how to make the phone alert come on when someone pressed the bell. I don't get any notification come up or any kind of noise notifying me when the bell is pressed. thanks heaps for the vid. it helped alot
I managed to get it working by messing around with settings a bit more. The latest one I changed (which I don't know if it was a coincidence) was changed Alerts to Banner Style - Persistent. This is under settings, notifications. Sounds & Badges is on. Show previews - always. Notification Grouping - By App. I hope that helps!
I have had this doorbell installed. This is my view of it. It really should come with an indoor ringer. An outdoor ringer on the button is pointless if you live in a large house. It also can piss off your neighbours. I have paired it with an indoor (plug in) ringer, but the outside ring remains. I've yet to discover a way to get rid of it, or at worse, turn it down. An indoor ringer should be standard stock The app is a good idea (I suppose the main point of the bell) but its hit and miss as to how it works. Its not unusual to receive a notification of someone calling 2 minutes after they actually called. That's as good as it gets. Other times its takes longer, and other times you're lucky to even receive a notification. Its now becoming apparent that it is not splash resistant. My camers lens is now showing signs of water retention (probably rain water, probably condensation), and the video is now blurry as a result. A device built for outdoor use shouldn't really succumb to the elements in such a passive way. The design of it is OK to look at, but maybe should be slimmer. Reason for me is that I have a door with a parting dissecting a couple of windows which is ideal to put a doorbell. Not this doorbell. The width of this bell meant I had to be creative in trying to mount it on a pebble-dashed wall. With the camera now virtually useless after 3 months, I am now considering giving this away to whoever wants it while I'll get myself a Ring setup...
For those asking how to make it ring on phone. I had a problem where I was getting no notification or ring to phone. On the app, from the device list click on the icon (3 horizontal lines) on the top left. It should open up device settings. Click on permissions management which should open up App info. Scroll down to App settings. Make sure Notifications is "Allowed", Permissions is set to Camera, Location, Microphone, Storage and Telephone. Scroll down to Advance (on the same app info screen), and make sure Appear on top is set to "on" It may be a different layout depending on your device though
Finally got the Batteries sorted and Bell installed. There is a very long delay between bell button being pressed and app notifications. Up to 5 minutes. Any suggestions.
Please make sure the batteries you order have BUTTON ends, I initially ordered my batteries on ebay and the ones that came had flat ends and therefore did not connect to the charges in the unit so my device would not work. Frustrating at the time because I did not realise there were different battery fittings with the same code number battery 18650 and did not know if it was the bell or batteries that were at fault at the time. Have just put in new button end batteries that arrived today and the bell is working perfectly.
@@farhankhan-bo6ix So how do you connect the second device without going through the initial process again? (That would need a reset of the doorbell). There does not seem to have an option to scan the network for an existing doorbell. And the scan qr code never worked when I tried it. Thanks.
Your video helped me set mine up, but is there a way to get it to respond more quickly? My unit calls my phone after someone has been detected but has already left the area. I have stood in front of the doorbell and waited for it to call my phone and when it shows the picture I am not there. When someone walks near the doorbell they are gone long before the doorbell rings my phone, making it useless as a security item.
When the doorbell is pushed on the unit, shouldn't it notify me on my phone? I'm not getting notified? I made sure the notifications were switched on. I uninstalled app and reinstalled, still no notification on phone.
You slide the bell upwards while holding the wall plate exposing the battery cover. it's easier when the wall plate is screwed to the wall plus there is a small grub screw to stop naughty peeps stealing the doorbell.
Hi there. I keep getting Set-up failed when trying to Add device. I enter my wifi password, goes through the complete cycle and then fails. Need help please.

I thought you said you were going to review it? This is just a commentary, and VERY lenient at that. Some notes you should have made: 1:30 - No..nonono. Very bad advice to give. Older doorbells run on MUCH higher voltage, some might even be dangerous. So DO NOT just hook it up willie-nillie. 4:52 - Did someone who hates hearing make this thing? What kind of horrible sound for pairing is this?? BAD design. 5:47 - You pressed "View". It took 8 seconds, EIGHT seconds before the video came up. Very bad delay. 6:28 - Sure, nice feature, but you show nothing of it.. Talk delay? Sound quality? 6:55 - "Cloud storage" on your SD-card?... Somebody didn't know what "Cloud" means. So this is just wrong. I'd appreciate more details in the review as well: What happens if the phone is not connected? What happens when you're outside of wifi area? Data-transfer has to go to your phone if there is no cloud storage, so data-rates would apply outside wi-fi area.. Just a lot of questions around this. And just 8-second videos?... Why? Can you change it? Recordings would be worthless if they all just show the EIGHT seconds while the person is standing there waiting for your phone to load the video. 7:22 - Only notification? This seems silly as well. Wouldn't this be way better with "save video" instead? If it's just a notification on your phone that someone is near the doorbell, I guarantee that you've turned it off. 8:19 - I kinda had to laugh a bit here. You slapped it on the wall... And that's it. That's a tutorial on how to use double-stick tape, and nothing to do with the doorbell itself. Where is the test? Where is a person clicking it and you receiving the call? Last point is my main sticking point that you left out, and that's an actual real world example. Cause someone coming to your door, ringing the bell, and the TIME it takes until you can actually see + speak to them is critical. People don't usually hang around until the satellites have linked up, hamsters started running, and so on. You get the point :P All in all, this video got me no closer to seeing a wifi doorbell in use. And you should definitely have commented on the fact that it didn't have an indoor receiver/alarm as people have commented earlier. And especially if it makes SOUND when you press it? Does it? Cause that should definitely be a quiet, very low tone, so not to disturb neighbors. Sorry if it sounded a bit harsh. Just my opinion =) Haven't seen any other of your videos, since this is the video I landed on when looking up this stuff. I am a bit curious if you've found the things I mentioned too annoying to keep using this, or if it's still in regular use.

This is junk, the app as well. The signal comes in with a long delay. Communication with the outside is not working properly. You have to go through your entire menu of the phone to answer. It didn't work for me with the transformer. Batteries are empty after two days. In fact, there is nothing right about it. Tip: don't buy this.

I want to know that too .. I've been having mine for a few years , i just installed yesterday but cant fix the time and date .. Did you ever figured it out ?
I have bought one, but cannot get it to pair? I"ve changed my wifi to 2.4gHz,I've got the correct batteries and micro usb connection and have tried all the"Know it"fixes, but still nothing. Do you have any ideas:-(
My main question is if I connect it to my old Bell for a power source can I also retain my door bell chime. Or do I have to use the chime that’s giving. And can they both be used at the same time.
When I installed mine, I had to leave my old doorbell button and jumper 2 new wires to the new camera which I mounted right next to the old doorbell. a little cluttered but it gives people a choice too.
I bought this based on your review. I inserted the batteries, nothing happenes. Brand new batteries. I found a micro USB charge port, so plugged that in, it flashes blue and I'm able to connect and see video. But the moment its unplugged its completely dead. While it is plugged in, if I press the doorbell I do not get any notification on my phone, even though I have it enabled on my phone and have it set to notifications in the app. So overall a gigantic waist of money. You must have the only decent one in the world.
Where would u put memory card? I looked at mine which is exactly like the one in video and I don't see where a memory card goes. If u know the secret plz tell me. Tks

The problem with this bell is when someone is ringing the bell or moving at the camera, the position, one brings you a message. It is necessary that when the bell rings, the sound comes to you and you know that someone and the door you talk to him
If youre having trouble connecting to the wifi like I did do this. Reset your router first. Hit the grey button on the back of the bell once then hold the reset button for 3 sec or longer till you hear the voice say ready to pair. I was gonna sell this thing at first cause I kept having trouble pairing it.
Can this doorbell working without batteries when connect to a external power-adapter with the wires from my old bell? Or works the doorbell with the battery-power and the external adapter from the old bell is used for charging the batteries continue?

I have same video doorbell as you but takes 3 batteries. I tried setting it up, first time worked with video then just a black screen after that. About to send back to seller whenever he gets in touch. He's asked me to send in a short video of what i was doing, told him I am fed up trying to connect and to send me a return label for eBay. I tried what you had done but mine has a antennas which i connected then inserted 3 batteries then tried to set up again. Nothing but a black screen. I have had enough. It's going back. My doorbell keeps blinking Red. Not Blue. What’s wrong?
Hi everyone, having trouble setting up mine , I get the blue light , the prompt says “the camera” and stops and then blue light switches off. I pressed reset button for 5 seconds and nothing happens. Any ideas?
having trouble too.. did you get yours going?
The XSH cam app now crashes all the time, it doesn't even load or start.
Too many bad reviews. I'll purchase the ring version.
How do you delete the video clips that it has recorded off the app so it doesn’t show?
it realy works if I have 18 v alternating curent only?.thanks.
pointless if someone can just take it off the wall....

I have one of these but I have not been able to buy the batteries, does someone still know where I can buy them ??? I know the video is old but I need to know if someone can answer my question and if they have any links I would appreciate it
18650 batteries are all over eBay.
However, these batteries are suppose to be rechargeable. Chargers are also sold on eBay and Amazon.
Hey do u know how to set the time and date on this device??
I want to know that too .. I've been having mine for a few years , i just installed yesterday but cant fix the time and date .. Did you ever figured it out ?
I don’t know to buy ebay yesterday the delivery dident come
I have bought one, but cannot get it to pair? I"ve changed my wifi to 2.4gHz,I've got the correct batteries and micro usb connection and have tried all the"Know it"fixes, but still nothing. Do you have any ideas:-(
Thistle Locks and Alarms Limited -you need to reset your wifi doorbell device then connect it to wifi. Thats what happen to me too before.
@@Rainrainrain17 where is this or what is it...thistle locks and alarms ?
If you are not able to connect to your wifii then it will not going to work for you.
Hi how do I turn the volume up and get notifications
My main question is if I connect it to my old Bell for a power source can I also retain my door bell chime. Or do I have to use the chime that’s giving. And can they both be used at the same time.
When I installed mine, I had to leave my old doorbell button and jumper 2 new wires to the new camera which I mounted right next to the old doorbell. a little cluttered but it gives
people a choice too.

So you’re saying the new camera won’t work with the existing chime that’s inside your house? Because that’s the problem I’m having.
Thanks for your video, this product can connect and monitor over the internet?
Yes you can connect over the internet. The app can let you monitor on your phone, as long as you have internet anywhere in the world.
@@farhankhan-bo6ix Thanks for your information,,,,,,,
I bought this based on your review.
Has anyone used a TF memory card in it ? How does that work?
Where would u put memory card? I looked at mine which is exactly like the one in video and I don't see where a memory card goes. If u know the secret plz tell me. Tks
@@2blessed4urmess69 Go to the video at 4:09 and pause it...look just above the guys knuckle and you will see the letters "TF" and that is where you put your memory card in...
Excuse me, this can be connected with cellular wi fi network??
yes
I do not remember the login password
Can i reset it? How to do it? Reset button dont help.
If I am correct, there is a black button to rest in the chamber behind the bell.
We have this and every time we put the back on the security alarm keep going off? How do we stop this? xx
Security alarm? You mean it is keep ringing
Hi Atlanta, I'm having the same problem with my bell...did you manage to fix it?
Sorry, Alanta :-)
I am having the same problem?
I'm having the same problem
How to change the video date?
It should picked up the current date.
@@farhankhan-bo6ix thank u
I have 3 of these and I hooked up one on my existing wires and it seams to work ok but I am not getting any notices. I have made sure my XHS notification is on. Whats wrong
Just like mine. It is pure crap. Got mine started but then the camera does not work
The problem with this bell is when someone is ringing the bell or moving at the camera, the position, one brings you a message. It is necessary that when the bell rings, the sound comes to you and you know that someone and the door you talk to him
Why does the unit say it’s not a 4G when it is?
Can you still receive notifications and see the camera if you’re not home?
not on mine
If youre having trouble connecting to the wifi like I did do this. Reset your router first. Hit the grey button on the back of the bell once then hold the reset button for 3 sec or longer till you hear the voice say ready to pair. I was gonna sell this thing at first cause I kept having trouble pairing it.
Can this doorbell working without batteries when connect to a external power-adapter with the wires from my old bell? Or works the doorbell with the battery-power and the external adapter from the old bell is used for charging the batteries continue?
Christophe Hollebeke yes you can use the wires from your old bell !
@@beepimajeep9787okay, thanks for the info.
Do you know the volts on your external ac/dc adapter? I bought a external 24v but I can't get it to direct power. It still wants to us batteries.

What batteries go in there? It looks like it needs longer batteries than normal AA

When I ring the doorbell, I get a notification, but not a picture directly. Only when I accept a picture comes a picture. Maybe someone still has the same problem as me and a solution?
I brought 2, was so pleased at first for about a week but then would not work tried setting up a few times but the bell it self does not work not sure if its the battery mine came with batteries
Could I have a dummy because all the ones I've seen only have 2 batteries when mine have 3🤔
mine wont sink with my s-10 , my wifi is on
I have same video doorbell as you but takes 3 batteries. I'm doing everything it says. Just a black screen after first attempt. Any tips, ideas would be appreciated before i send this back. I have tried this on 3 handsets, the same.
During the brightest part of the afternoon my doorbell keeps detecting false motion. Is there a fix for this? Thanks
Hi I have a UBELL and it did send to my phone when first set up, although there was a long delay from pressing the bell, to getting the phone call, this all happened at home while testing, the first time that I left the house I kept getting calls from the bell, but when I went to answer it stopped, and since then it has not worked, you can view the live feed if you open the app on the phone, but no calls to say anyone has pressed the bell, Iam in my seventys and not realy into these things, I get my son to do all that for me, he has tried by resetting the bell but still no calls, can you pleaes suggest anything for him to try, thank you in advance, Johnboy. Ps I have a ding dong ringer indoors and that works fine through the bell beeing pressed.
If anybody is going to buy this product . Make sure you hardwire it because the batteries are useless and last 2 days max . I have this same bell and I even bought new batteries and had the same problem . So hardwire it or you will be wasting your hard earned money .
i have a phone charger plugged into mine trying to charge the batteries but i dont see any visual sign from the unit to say that its charging. i have put a usb cable from a ps4 into the doorbell too but how do i know it is charging? thanks
Hi.
Can I use of this device USB port to recharge battery .??
When battery will be finished?
Rp haq yes
@@jessicagray677 thanks
This thing is a piece of shit. I have one. Battery last 8 hours if I'm lucky and it rained once and the notifications go off non stop when nothing is going on
HUH!!!! aint there supposed to be 2 batteries
Still wont work. will work when plugged into usb but wont work and batteries are fully charged. What am i missing please?
I have a question. If you stick the bell to the wall like this, anyone can come and just take the device, isn't it? How the device is secure then
