Thanks Pierre for sharing with us another delightful trekking video featuring Għar Lapsi and the surrounding landscape with other interesting structures. That old building "Tower" has a good fantastic unique characteristic structure and its a shame to be left deteriorating through time. Could be it has suffered many structural damage like the other small rooms in the vicinity, and as you have wisely recommended anyone must be very cautious when entering similar building. Although our islands are so small, we still have a lot to find out, to see and enjoy but very important not to pick or take any artifacts encountered while leaving all the place clean from any garbage. Thanks so much for letting me express my thoughts in concern. Well done and keep up the good work Pierre.👍👍

I was puffing and blowing just watching you when you were on top of that wall. And when you turned the camera around at the top to see how steep it was I thought there was no way I'm coming for a walk with you. ha ha. Another interesting video Pierre. Many thanks for your time.

The building is not particularly old, but certainly valuable. Some say it belongs to the Mizzi group, others allude it is under the custodianship of Heritage Malta. The stairs are quite interesting. They look quite old, and would have surely been the main access to the British pillbox down at Ghar Lapsi.
On a side note, I was devastated to see the restaurant down there knocked down. It was built in the late 60s and still retained the original tiles, windows and features. A lovely Maltese woman was the host, the food was exquisite, yet not excessively priced....and they used pure well water when making a tazza te, or tea in a glass. A popular custom here in the Mediterranean. The water gave the tea a certain natural sweetness and crisp flavour like no tap water ever can. One of my earliest memories, going back to the mid-70s was this very place, for a family outing. Apologies for the nostaglia. Well done for documenting the wonderful and rich Maltese heritage, otherwise cast aside and neglected by both State and people.
