That’s it! I HAD to subscribe after this video. I personally love some of the nat parks but the crowds are getting ridiculous. I actually saw some graffiti tagging on some rocks in Bryce during the pandemic. Living in Utah but gonna hit escalante after your videos. Also doing the needles district back country in May.
Hey man, I love the channel. Thanks for this overview of the Grand Canyon! Like you, I'm from Colorado, but the Grand Canyon is on many trail running bucket lists (including mine.) Keep up the nice work, hope you are doing well.
Nice views. Were all the pictures from the GoPro? I think the nice shade on Bright Angel refers to the recommended time of day, after 4PM (NPS-Avoid 10AM to 4PM)
Did that hike in 2010 without Plateau Point, wish I had included it. The hike should be on everyones list. Finishing the hike with cold beer at the El Tovar was a nice reward for a long day.
Not my preferred way to hike going down first and then up, guess that is the only way to do the Grand Canyon. Don't know anyone who has ever visited the Grand Canyon for the first time and not found it to be more Grand than they expected a beautiful place.
Big fan of your videos, but I still feel like I have to be that guy and say it. This is what's commonly known as Rim to River. The Rim to Rim monicker is pretty specifically reserved for going from one side of the canyon and crossing to the other. I know it's not that big of a deal but it might mislead people not familiar with the canyon.
@@TheVirtualsherpa you've clearly and appropriately titled it. And actually I think if you had titled it Rim to River it would mislead more people into thinking its a one way day hike to camp at the bottom.
Read a full guide on this hike here including my GPX file, time to complete etc. : www.thevirtualsherpa.com/grand-canyon-south-rim-to-rim-trail-guide/

I did the same day hike on Sep 29th, minus the Plateau. It was great. But yes warm to hot at the bottom. Great vid quality. Thanks for the share.
Super video! I applauded for $5.00 👏👏
Thanks very much 🤟🏽
Did this hike many years ago, its so beautiful and you are right that the cameras just cant do it justice! Love the content man
A must do for sure. I've done both SK to BA, and NK to BA. Easy to underestimate the canyon!
Hoping to see this guy on 4000ers in the Alps! Thank you for this great content.
I would LOVE to make that happen!

All my video gear is linked in the video description but yeah, most of this was filmed on a gopro with some b roll using the Iphone.

It truly is a very beautiful place.
@@TheVirtualsherpa National Parks seem to be great places to visit but not so great for recreating.
Is the trail narrow? I get vertigo, but it's not bad on the wide trail.
Try to show it as best I can throughout the video. It’s never more narrow then 3-4 feet.
I have vertigo too and it was not a problem at all. Some of the best trails you will find anywhere.
Any idea what the drive time from Denver is, Mickey?
13ish hours with the eastern entrance being closed.
@@TheVirtualsherpa Yikes! Cheers

I understand but when you watch the video or look at the thumbnail its clear as day as to what I am doing. Thanks for the feedback.
