    Train service
    edit
In 2004, train services have started for Digha railway station (Station Code : DGHA). There was a one DMU service from Santragachi railway station but it discontinued. Now there are three new trains from Howrah Station too.
Digha's old beach is not as wide as it used to be due to heavy soil erosion. Big stones and concrete steps are used to hold together the beach. Another problem is the record number of storm surges that have caused many of the unplanned shacks and smaller hotels to succumb to the sea. Since it is one of very few popular beaches in West Bengal, it gets overcrowded, especially during the cooler winter break.[citation needed]
A new beach has been developed "New Digha" which is about 2 km (1.2 mi) from the old beach. This new beach is not only bigger than the old one, but might be considered a better one.[citation needed] It is clean and well-maintained and is not surrounded by a congested locality like the older beach. The latest attraction of New Digha is the Science Centre established by the National Council of Science Museums. The entire stretch of the Digha seaface from Old Digha to New Digha is filled with casuarina plantations.
Talasari Beach is a beach in the Baleswar district of Odisha, India. It lies on the north-eastern coast of India. The name Talasari is derived from the two Odia words Tala (ତାଳ) (meaning Palm) and Sari/Sarani (ସାରି/ସାରଣୀ) (meaning row). The palm trees surrounding the place give such a name to it.[1] The word Tala also means rhythm, which is reflected in the sea waves lapping against the shore.[citation needed]
The flowing Subarnarekha river adds to the visual appeal of the Talasari beach by few more levels. In addition to this, the Talasari beach has sand dunes and red crabs that add features to the beach. The fishing hamlets and the mangrove trees of Bichitrapur located near this beach attract travelers to the location.
Udaipur Sea Beach has become one of the most popular beach amongst top most beaches in Odisha. It's located on the border of Odisha and is nestled between New Digha and Talsari. You can plan a trip to Udaipur Beach while travelling to Digha and Mandarmani. This beach is just 30min away from New Digha towards Odisha.
We visited Digha and Mardarmani in October 2020 and during the period we planned to take a visit to Udaipur Sea Beach. As we travelled there by our car, we drove to the Udaipur Sea Beach by our car. After having lunch, we started for Talsari Sea Beach. In 30-35 mins, we reached at the car parking zone Talsari Sea Beach. From there we hired 4 bikes to head towards Udaipur Sea Beach. It was around 3 pm in the afternoon and it was a beautiful drive to Udaipur Sea Beach. The view was awesome with sunlight reflecting on the wet sand on the beach.
Udaipur Beach is famous for its scenic beauty and so many activities that can be explored with your family, friends and closed ones.
