Fantastic Grand Rounds presentation. More comprehensive and nuanced than my medical school lecture. I feel much better at identifying diabetic feet ulcers and intervening earlier. The unfortunate part of this disease that is our interventions and standard of care heal only about 1 in 4 DFUs and the patient's underlying health greatly impacts the potential for healing.

The PodoPhylus antibacterial foot insole slowly releases iodine gas and helps to prevent the infection. No infection, no amputation

Keep in the back burner the PodoPhylus antimicrobial insole. If you get an ulcer, this will be the cheapest and fastest way to start preventing infection

My roommate has an ulser on the bottom of h is lft foot. It's rather deep and I believe that the hole is almost down to the bone. Trouble is , is that he refuses to
See a doctor. He insists that's that as long as he keeps the wound clean that it will go away. Wrong! The edges of his wound are nuropic, and his pain levels got to be through the roof. He's not eating right , and we are scared

There is an inexpensive shoe insole called PodoPhylus that worked very well in sterilizing the shoe/foot to prevent diabetic foot infections. No infection, no amputation. E..t..s..y has it..

If he has not lost the foot, he could try the antimicrobial insole called PodoPhylus. It slowly releases iodine that keeps the foot from getting infected
