- This is a complete video of bankers or brakers getting attached at Sakleshpura [ SKLR ] Station where the first attempt in coupling was unsuccessful.

Yeshwanthpur Karwar Express [ YPR KAWR EXP - 16515 ] is a day train via Kunigal hauled by WDM-3A [ KJM ]
Rake reversal occurs at Mangalore Junction [ MAJN ].
The train passes through Shiradi ghats via Donigal, Kadagaravalli and Yedakumari Stations of the Green Route which is magnificent.
WDG 4 is used as bankers.
It is coupled to the front of the rake while going downhill at Sakleshpura station [ SKLR - SBHR ].
It is coupled to the back of the rake while going uphill at Subrahmanya Road station [ SBHR - SKLR ].

Exactly mate. Any mistake from diesel driver and they would lose a limb if not their life.
No safety boots, no gloves, no safety glasses, no safety vest....safety Indian style. Who knows how many people got hurt, dismembered or killed. Absolutely crazy. I know I'll be bashed for this, but reality it is what it is.

@@kalki5748 what human error? did you see anybody wearing any and I mean any safety gear? It's their way of living like that, for them it's normal for us westerners it's different. Different nations different rules. Not condemning them, it is what it is.
Great video. Please send this to the Railway minister. Absolutely no safety . This is a very dangerous job , working between mighty active running rail engines , no safety gloves, no helmet, no safety shoes, Indian railway is a huge corporation and it must take care of their employees.

Appreciate your concern, but no safety helmet, gloves and shoes would be able to protect him if he gets crushed between those engines. Some systems are better left simple manually operated.
@@venkteshsingh4746 Basic safety is imperative. I do agree when there is a catastrophic failure as you mention getting crushed , nothing can protect you. This is not what a worker would expect to happen easily , or else the employee would not be in the work force. Head , leg , hand injuries are very common in such work environment, which otherwise could be prevented by a simple hard hat , heavy duty gloves and steel toed boots . As a matter of fact world wide , not just in India , disabilities and death caused by reckless work place injuries are very common. I am safety trained and I can tell you so many people have accidently hit their heads or had loose objects hitting their heads , causing blunt force trauma, people have died or paralyzed for life as a result , if only they had a hard hat covering their head they would have gone home to their families . Employees have lost their feet and hands due to serious jamming -- If this work environment does not call for these basic safety needs then there is a serious safety issue.
Everything is provided to those employees but they do not use for their convenience.

Arpan Satapathy Ironically, American trains sometimes require bankers when going uphill, but never need brakers. This may be due to American locomotives having dynamic braking.

How come buffers are needed if there are couplers?
In case a coupler brakes on impact, the buffers could work as shock absorbers and avoid further damage to the rail vehicle.
@@BrettAlphonso How come they don't just couple slowly as they are right here so they don't potentially get hurt.
@@aidansturtz2025 The actual reason is due to ICF coaches in India which had "screw coupling" mechanism, and that's also the reason lhb coaches don't have buffers.
