Absolutely love ur little channel. Its because u are genuine you and the love u have for your dogs and mother nature. May God Bless you with safe travels 🙏 P.S Salmo-Priest Wilderness in Wa, Idaho you have to see
That’s it! I’m going on a road trip. I used to live up there in SV. Been missing that area. The chowder at RF lodge is amazing. I’m jealous of your lifestyle. Looking to do the same. Just found your channel. Hooked 👍
Just to set the record straight, yes, the sun does make you tired. 😂🤣😂 Beautiful scenery. Another great video and the music selection is always top notch. ❤️❤️
Summer hot sun and heat can make you feel tired and important to stay hydrated but the sun has lots of vitamin D as well. Here in Texas we are under a heat dome and looking forward to another exhausting week in the hundreds. You sure find alot of beautiful places. Thankyou for sharing them with us. I think Starlink will take alot of pressure off your internet searching and give you freedom and less worries. Looking forward to your next video
Love this video! Scenery is gorgeous and the music is great, and yes, my mom told me the sun will make you tired! I think it’s being outside that does it, sunshine and fresh air! Hope you have a good week ❤
Dude, I totally feel it after spending a day out in the sun; knocks me out...but it's usually a good tired. And great shots of the Idaho scenery! The state is high on my list.
The water is absolutely beautiful. I've not been to Idaho but it's on my list now. All I could think when you were paddle boarding is I hope she didn't leave the dogs tied to the picnic table in bear country. Don't think you're not gorgeous because you are! Your face is so pretty even without makeup. Happy camping..
Starlink will definitely give you more freedom to chill out in different areas without the stress of finding a signal for work. And another great vlog!
Exactly. It’s expensive but I ALWAYS say my time is worth more than my money. I am going to save time by not reading every campsite review a million times.
Love the sceneries along your journey, Penny and Charlie are a joy to watch as always, and that was brave of you to paddle the little kayak in a windy day!
Erica, I really enjoy watching your videos and seeing you, the dogs and the great places you travel to. I also wonder how you find your campsites. I just traveled from Minnesota to Portland Oregon and I was so frustrated at trying to finding spots. I am working on my DIY expedition vehicle that I have been building for the last couple of years. So this trip out west was spent at mostly truck stops. It was very discouraging trying to find a place to camp. I had planned on staying on the road for a couple of months but, I had to come back Minnesota to add a pass through from the cab to the box for insurance reasons. Hopefully back out on the road soon. The one thing I did not understand was the comment "Natural Resting State of My Face". I hope you were not talking about you. You are a very beautiful women. As far as finding friends on the road some of us can't find them at home and maybe me being an introvert that does not help. Happy 4th of July
I use iOverlander to find my spots, with lots of planning ahead. And my natural face comment just meant that I don’t look very friendly or happy when I’m not smiling haha
"...the natural resting state of my face.." Are you kidding me? I'll make you a coffee if we ever meet up on the road if you promise to bring that face with you 😊
Just find some very dry cedar, carve a 2 ft, half inch diameter smooth dowel type pole, then a pine board, 12 inches long by 4 inches wide, on the edge of board carve a starting of a hole with a V notch on edge of board, start spinning the fire pole between your open hands, from too to bottom,, doing it back and forth, use very dry wood, when hands spin down, quickly start at top of pole again, in no time the wood will smoke..next is most imp, very dry fine tinder under v notch under board with half exposed to the little coals..I'm sure someone on RUclips does this .I guess if you really wanted to do this you would be .safe travels 🙂
Hi. Hope all is well. Regarding the sun making you tired question.... i will refer you to your mother. Mums know best. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay happy. Everything else is manageable. Pops
That's a beautiful lake and area your at, you can find them. I could stay their a long time if it was free lol. Something about the sun takes the energy out of a person. Your views it feels so relaxing to watch. What about satellite internet? Another great video.
Starlink is a satellite based service. It’s just very expensive. But…I’ll never have this opportunity to explore again so I might as well do it, right?
Great, great place! Stanley is on my list to return to! I would suggest McCall..but it is touristy! How about Salmon, ID? Expensive…but maybe Starlink would be best for you?? Enjoying your journey and watching the puppies!
Totally feel your pain on this one. I had asked on IG about your experience finding free sites with good coverage, because I failed miserably and would breakdown and just get a hotel for the work week. BTW Thanks for the in depth response. Now that I'm planning to hit the road again after my birthday on the 1st, I've been going back and forth with myself on getting StarLink before I go. Mostly because of the issue you're having right now! I hate leaving AMAZING campsites because of no to low signal!! Downside is I would have to sit still a bit longer until it arrived....right now Texas has fallen into the 8th circle of Hell (it's HOT, HOT!!) Wonder how hard it is to send it to a UPS Store???🤔
I thought about your message while I was making this video because I really haven’t had issues until now! But I don’t want to miss out on Idaho and Montana because of signal being a huge barrier. I put my order in on a Friday, it shipped Monday and was delivered Wednesday. If you do end up using UPS, I would call first and give box size estimate (maybe 25x16x16) it was much bigger than I expected!
The sawtooth’s are absolutely gorgeous and one of my favorite places to visit. I’m based in Boise and I’ve been full-time over a year. So far I’ve had good luck with the T-Mobile home Internet device. Unfortunately, I will probably have to bite the bullet and get star link Before I start traveling too far
I too have a reactive dog that keeps me away from people, so I feel your pain. I love him so, but when I travel without him I feel so FREE! Also, will your employer give you an internet allowance toward the starlink?
It’s SO hard. But I love her so much. Trying to find the balance between her happiness and mine has been a challenge. Not too worried about the cost. I’m just so thankful to have a job that approves of my lifestyle. I would feel uncomfortable asking 😅 but this is a once in a lifetime experience so it will be worth the cost!
LOL. My parents told me the same thing about the sun. You think seasoned parents tell that to other newly parents as a "trick up their sleeve"? I think it's this wise tale that's morphed over the decades like the game telephone. Starlink is nice. I just wish it cost a bit less that it currently does for roaming and RV'ers.
What a lovely camp site! For what it's worth, I think you look like Emily Blunt, who is quite pretty. I'm also from Kentucky and am very envious of your lifestyle. Enjoy!
I don't know about you, guessing it might be the same, but when I'm driving along and begin to realize I haven't seen a cell tower in a while, I get nervous. Makes me look even harder. Strange vanlife obsession, lol. You, too? So, Internet junkie that I am, this video struck a chord with me. I already have Starlink onboard, and it has proven valuable and reliable in the western half of the USA. My experience out west is limited, but from what I saw on the western side of TX last winter, it will totally work for you where cell signals are illusive in the west. I run with T-Mobile 5G Home Internet, too, for the eastern half of the US and find it's typically very easy to get connected, This is mostly true in the west also, but looking at a coverage map for Idaho, yikes! The mountainous regions especially look untouched by any carrier. At least you can pause billing on Starlink if you'll be in the eastern US. Beautiful videography this week, as usual. Even those of the "resting state of your face". 😉 For me, the sun is draining and energizing at the same time. Nature's source of vitamin D, so get a little skin in the game.
Yes! I looked at the coverage map and the only parts that have signal are out of the mountains and wayyyy too hot right now. I thought it looked worse than Montana! Haha
I don’t understand why is so hard to meat up with people that are doing the same thing with so many people out there being out of work I’m guessing they are just sitting in one place

Awesome! You probably know exactly where I was camped at the end of the video haha!
Holy cow! I was just there. I was up SV Rd 4 days ago, and stayed up between Stanley and Galena for a couple days.
I felt so relaxed watching your video, awesome place, have a blessed week, be safe
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
Just to set the record straight, yes, the sun does make you tired. 😂🤣😂 Beautiful scenery. Another great video and the music selection is always top notch. ❤️❤️
Maybe I’ll bring up liar bumps next week!
Beautiful area! I've driven I-84 many times, dry and brown, but didn't know it was like that just a bit north. Love your music selection too.

Oh gosh no! They were safely snoozing in the van! :) We always go for a long walk anytime I leave them.
Thank you for the compliment :)

Being out in the sun all day definitely drains your energy, but if you hydrate enough, it lessens the effects.
So nice that you were able to spend time with your sister. Have a great week! 😊
Thank you! We had a great time!
Good video! The search for signal is such a modern/first world problem....LOL!!
Hahaha you have a point 🤦🏼♀️ feeling a little spoiled now lol
"...the natural resting state of my face.." Are you kidding me? I'll make you a coffee if we ever meet up on the road if you promise to bring that face with you 😊
I have a serious case of RBF when I’m not talking or forcing myself to smile! Haha
@@girland2vandogs You've obviously not had a gander at my ROF (Resting Ogre Face) 😆

Yes we Moms tell that to our kids…..😆
I fell for it…the list of lies is growing and growing 😂
Sorry about you're lack of friend's .I don't mix with others well. Look at that view you have and the love of 2 dogs. I'm also from KY
Eh, I’ve kinda just accepted that this is how it’s going to be, but I’m definitely happy to be around other people from time to time haha!
I miss Idaho. It’s so beautiful.

I’m not sure either. It’s really not my focus anymore but I definitely get excited when I do have the chance to be social haha!
Vanlifers must have wifi, nomads do not . True fredom is a nomad life in a van. No WIFI ever needed .
