Soupy was wingin' it in this episode! No matter; when you're 13 and completely taken in by Soupy's humor, it was just as funny.
Soupy was the hippest guy on TV. He appealed to kids of all ages.
I laugh, then I cry because those innocent days are long, long gone.
    Thanks, Soupy

Yep,soupy was one of a kind! Those were better days for sure. Soupy was loved by adults just as much as teens. Soupy said he was walking down the street one day with this girl came up to him (Nancy Sinatra) and told him how much her dad (Frank Sinatra) loved him. That led to Soupy being invited to meet her dad and Frank producing Soupys first Lps on his Reprise label.

I love that opening blackout..where the well dressed lobster is ordering human hands for his meal..a skit that is reminiscent of Ernie Kovacs.

Kovacs was a genius. He had that Nairobi Trio and that always killed my dad and me when we saw it.

A whole lotta Peewee's Playhouse here! I loved Soupy in SoCal in the early '60s. "Here's a kiss for you sur-fers, your ho-dads and you gremmies!" Smack!

You mean there’s a whole lot of Soupy in pee wees playhouse, except it’s not the same.
Pee Wees playhouse was meant to be somewhat educational. Soupys show was just pure silliness and fun. Pee Wee was meant as a satire of these old shows. These are the real thing.
      This was good clean fun

    Congratulations.
You are the first Soupy Sales presenter I've seen who has retained the _full_ outro of Soupy, running down the street to the very end. Everyone cuts off his turn left, down the street.
The way he rounded the corner banking off one foot left us kids in convulsions.

Too bad the WNEW-Channel 5 logo and the Screen Gems dancing sticks logo are cut off. This was one of the last "Soupy" shows to feature the dancing sticks before Screen Gems switched to the "S From Hell" logo in September 1965.

I honestly don’t understand all the stupid names and “fear” people express today for those cool Screen gems end logos. “S from hell”,etc. Those were all neat and featured beautiful futuristic artwork. There’s nothing even slightly “scary” about them.

Pookie's sneezing fit sounded like it came from a Spike Jones record. Would love to know who did the Shoemaker and the Elves record.
