  • Fun weekend with BMWCCA CT Valley and Patroon at Palmer Motorsports Park in Massachusetts. Had a lot of fun playing with the E92 race prepped car. This video is from session 4 on 9-15-2019. Best lap time of the weekend was in this session at 1:47.742, which is a new personal best. Was in the 1:47 - 1:48 range all weekend. Theoretical best lap was a 1:46.1. I think 45s are possible with the car setup. Just need to smooth out the driving and push the braking zones a bit.

I’m a Green driver so just learning but, didn’t the guy you were following hit some of those corners late? Great video of your run.

Yeah, he was clearly driving on a different line from me. Palmer is a tricky and technical course with lots of elevation change, camber changes and late and hidden apexes. I often see drivers taking a variety of different lines there. Coupled with the nature of the track and the drivers car, setup and style, I see lots of different approaches. Not sure what is the best one, but for now I am sticking with my line. Thanks for the comment.

I just finished a PCA event at Palmer, counter-clockwise. It’s a fun track, a little intimidating. I’m not criticizing the other line, just trying to learn.
