Remember, Huntress Wizard was designed for Finn. She lives on a tree cliffside (To a cliff under a tree) She was to give him a happy ending. The true hero being able to be happy with someone who understands him completely. But the show creators copped out, went will all the other romantic subplots to appease everyone else. While Finn sits there thinking. Thousands of years later, not even being remembered as the Hero.

Even though Finn is (most likely) eventually forgotten in 1000 years, there likely is another hero to take his place (most likely Shermy from the finale). Part of what makes Adventure Time such a great show is the amount of lore behind it, and just pretending that nothing happens after the Gum War ends kind of takes the purpose of the show away.

I was pretty sure that Huntress Wizard and him got together afterwords. Just because they are independent and are not constantly holding hands and smooching doesn't mean they can't be together. I took it as they are like LR and Jake and have their own lives but are also together.

Their flirting and casual kiss on the lips in that episode is the last time their relationship is explored (besides the whole elk's heart thing in Seventeen, which is vague). It indicates pretty heavily that they got together. If that scene were in the finale, everyone would be swearing up and down that Finn and HW are dating. So yeah, I think they got together, even though it wasn't showcased to the extent of Bubbeline or referenced in the finale.

@@premeditatedideation9389 Yeah, which resulted in my take-away, as a woman who enjoys the depth of this show, that Finn deserves to be alone at the end because he was a teen dealing with puberty the best he knew how with absolutely nothing for a healthy role-model. It's never implied that Joshua, their dad, had 'the talk' with them to my recollection and Jake is the cause of a good bit of Finn's crappy behavior. Like, I'm all about calling out toxic masculinity when it's actually there, but that message seems really forced in relation to Finn. If anything, it's a study in why a healthy role-model is extremely important for young men and as such a challenge to adult men to be that role model, but that's just my 2 cents.

I think you may be able to throw Marcelline in as well. Early episode hinted at a sort of Archie Betty and Veronica relationship between Finn, PB ,and Marcline. Episode under the original show runner before he was replace in session 6 hinted at a different thing, relationship, as well as some storyline left hanging. I think they abandon the Marcelline Finn relationship after the show runner left.

Making a teenage boy with no experience in the matter sound like a scumbag for having a crush isn't cool. Making _anyone_ dealing with unrequited-love sound like a predator isn't right. All relationships are a two-way street.
At any point in the early episodes PB could have gently pulled him aside and told him he was too young, it wasn't going to happen and that all they'd be is friends. Finn's a good kid, he'd be hurt but he'd get over it and much sooner than he did canonically. She's just as responsible for any miscommunication about the status of their relationship as he was.
I mean this to be constructive criticism. The one-sided ideological bias throughout the video made it hard to watch. I came across this from recommendations so I don't know if your other content is similar but you may want to keep in mind that getting political can be a big turn-off when people are looking for fun videos about their favorite cartoons.
She admits to Finn that she uses his affection to help her out early on, too.

The comics, which I believe are canon, there was an alternate universe where Finn and Flame Princess get married. It was amazing.

AT comics, issue 32, Finn's gotten back with Flame Princess (now Flame Queen). This was later scrubbed as they time travel to change the future.

You more or less described why Finns relationships went belly up rather than his importance of remaining single.
You also left out a lot of important information. Especially with bonnie. Bonnie and Finn did in fact date and shared feelings (when she was confirmed to be his age). She even didn't want to go back to being an adult because she would have responsibilities and that would interfere with their relationship (not mention the fact that there would be an age gap and the issue of him still being a minor). There was also a moment when she was jealous of flame princess. So even though she got over her feelings, there is a part of her that liked him. Also him rebounding after his break up with FP is basically a coping mechanism. Its not that uncommon especially after investing a lot in a relationship and you get a bad break

If you notice, both Ice King and Finn hetero relationships were completely ruined by the end, while PB and Marceline somehow had this amazing kiss in the middle of the battlefield. Finn staying single is NOT a good thing. I do agree that I didn't come to the show hoping for romance, but the ending seeing Finn not being with anyone was pretty depressing. I honestly didn't care for bubblegum. In the end Jake goes off with Rainicorn, everyone around Finn moved on with their lives leaving him. That's sad, bitter sweet ending.

That is the point, All the other romances were clarified that they ended but Finn And HW were still together before the end and there was no sign that they broke it off here. So until otherwise stated it is still the offical ship for now.

As far as i know they are in a weird relationship when they are together but they try to stay apart of each other respecting their space and doing whatever they want to do appart of each other without breaking up. uuu or something, there is one episode that explains their relationship better

I think long term Finn and Flame Princess (aka Phoebe) would be the best pairing. Huntress Wizard while awesome in many ways is too much of a free spirit to be tied down. Even if Bonibel wasn't into Marceline, she's way too Machiavellian for someone with Finn's usually good moral code (now if it was the younger PB we might have a different discussion). Likewise Marceline's too world weary. Finn and FP have become good friends which can be the basis of a future relationship. The PB bit of the video was pretty one sided. In The Real You, PB obviously has a strong reaction to Finn trying to win her heart. They skipped over Yoo Young in the video, where PB is established to have romantic feelings for Finn. And PB does kiss Finn on the lips in wizard battle even though she knew he wasn't a qualified contender. PB was sweet to Finn but I changed with the course of the show. So it made sense that they didn't end up together.
Also, I feel like Finn's relationship status was left open ended. I wouldn't say he was single, but I wouldn't say he wasn't.

The series does alot to build up our two main characters Ice King and Finn. However the series ends as a tragedy. Finn never finds love which is his motivation. And Simon only finds love to lose it forever. I liked the show most when it was simply Finn and Jake going on adventures rather than finn trying to find love and getting used by every woman he meets and they never give back anything close to what he gives. Finn like his mother will never find his equal.

Being in love with girls who he can't be with is hard, but it makes Finn a better hero and person. "My hero arise/ let love be your guide." During his crush on PB, he learns to talk about his feelings instead of keeping everything inside and being weird. With FP, he learns that he shouldn't be impulsive and do everything "Finn's way", but instead think of her feelings. We see this growth in his first episode with HW, where he is working toward her goals trying to summon the spirit with music, but admits that his song is for her, not the spirit. He's able to accept who she is and her lifestyle, and it puts them on far better ground than his past relationships, even if it means they're not going steady. Her love for him is the most explicit in helping him grow up and become better, as she helps him get past the guilt of killing Fern, accept that he has changed for the better, and continue to be a hero in spite of that change.

I think you kind of miss a few episodes because of the fact that she literally was a tease as she would kiss him on occasions and he would do literally everything for her as a hero and as a friend but then on occasion she would flirt sometimes. I understand that a lot of girls see this as Finn not getting the hint but on the guy side they would say that this is friendzoning and that is technically the case. Especially when she became young Princess Bubblegum and she ended up having feelings for fin until she went back to where older state to where she ended up putting him back into the friend zone.
When it comes to Flame Princess she was kind of had her own things to take care of and Finn was still thinking about Princess Bubblegum so it was kind of thing where he doesn't know what to do if he really didn't care about her in a relationship way she kind of saw her as another pick.
I think the one girl that he truly has feeling for right now and if the series does return I feel like he would necessarily fall in love with Huntress wizard as that shipping is by far my favorite when it comes to Finn.

So... this is what I got from this video. "Nineteen minutes and fifty-one seconds of snark, snark, and random comments throwing Finn under the bus."
If there are romantic resolutions to many of the secondary characters in the finale, then it's clearly an element of the story that's of value. And if it's of value, then it's of greatest value to the main character. ESPECIALLY when so much of the character's growth is specifically focused on romantic issues. To end the show without even a crumb, a hint, of nudge of a direction is to invalidate the purpose of spending so much time on that particular narrative. Which is part of the problem with the finale; Finn was really more of a peripheral character in that, too. Finn manages a major accomplishment in what is the "First Act" of the finale, but after that... he becomes a secondary character who responds but does not initiate positive action. To do this to the main character is not the best writing. Which is WHY Finn's narrative conclusion feels so unfinished. He barely participates in the greatest threat of the end, he doesn't have a romantic conclusion, he's simply... there. The story was more concerned with Princess Bubblegum, Marceline, Ice King/ Simon, and Betty.
I'm not making an argument for "Finn + Huntress Wizard = TLA" or any of that. A proper, healthy romance is one that should be developed over time and mutual interest, and Finn was never provided that by the show's writing. As the main character of the show who over and over again is emphasized as a hero, he's also neglected in that role with the show's greatest threat. One or the other would have avoided so many fans being unhappy with the end of his story in the show. However, neither happened, and here we are.
I agree with some of what you said, and some things I don't. But the main thing I disagree with is how you say, "[Finn] does not initiate positive action". This is not true as he is the main driving force for allowing PB and the Uncle to not fight and to join forces against Golb. Additionally, Finn was against the war since conflicts first arose.
Finn was still the hero, but not through his usual conventions.
That's what I meant by the "First Act" of the finale. He stops the war between Gumbald and Bubblegum, the first half of the final episode. When an even larger threat appears, Finn is mostly along for the ride at that point. He's unable to even participate in the song the rest of the cast sings to push back Golb. It's a disservice to the main character to be neglected by the writing in such a fashion.

I feel like that amazing ending scene we could've had with Huntress Wizard singing the ending song for Finn was retconned for the sake of lesbian romance being confirmed, which heavily annoys me because while very important supporting characters, they're not the MAIN characters, ya know? Their lives are not the lives we're following throughout the whole show, and what makes me even more upset, is how many people are OK or like that it was them that get a relationship over Finn.
If you say that Finn's pillow wife was enough of an experience for him, you suck, because its not about the events, but the adventure (time). We don't get to learn about the pillow peoples daily lives or deep personality, its just Finn arrives, slays dragon, dance, family, leave.
It may as well have been a bad fanfiction where the love interest is, well, a body pillow.
Meanwhile, both Finn and Huntress Wizard are complicated characters, with reasons for avoiding, but yearning a relationship, and could've been a great romance story. Especially with Finn romantically matured from all his poor experiences.
But no, we get the two immortal lesbians, who everyone already knew were a thing, that could've been confirmed JUST FINE with the credits wrap up scene where they're cuddling in a blanket, overtaking Finn and Huntress Wizard sitting on a cliff overlooking Ooo, cuddling into one another as she sings.
Actually, there should have been enough time for that in the end anyway, why was that retconned? Because you can't tell me one of the writers didn't plan this with the introduction of Huntress Wizard and her lifestyle.

I feel the same. Oddly enough I also didn't much care for her as a character because...well so far every time someone has described her it's that she's cool, awesome, and badass and is so perfect for Finn because of that.
When I try to think about it I can't say I really know if HW is a good person for Finn to be with because what do we really know about her really? For all of the other relationships Finn has gone through we've seen them develop, we can see the reason behind it. Well I have to disagree. It is true that a melodramatic kiss at the end with Finn and HW wasn't really neccesary, I wasn't asking for that like the millions of obnoxious bubbline's fanatics crowding my recomendation feed in youtube. Normaly I would agree with your statement, but you know, since they've been teasing so much that couple for the last two seasons *I HAD* to expect any possible conclussion at the end of the series, even if it was just a minute of dialogue for them to establish what they were going for with that relationship. Poopsicle the episode called Seventeen was about Finn's 17th birthday and huntress wizard was there with quite a lot of screen time. And for the pillow wife the episode was called Puhoy and he was trapped in a pillow world for a lifetime and made a family. That one reminds me of Odysseus and Calypso in the Odessy if Odysseus never left. In the episode he leaves the pillow world after dying from old age. Both of those episodes weren't mentioned in their video. There's also the fact that in the episode Go With Me Finn wanted to go on a date with Marceline to see a movie and while he didn't like-like her he also didn't like-like breezy and he got way closer to Marceline than Breezy ever did with him.
