Glad you do. These artists have been teaching and inspiring painters for many years. Just a note we have been teaching these courses since 2012 when most did not believe that you learn art fundamentals online :)

Matt, good one, really speaks to me, been doing lots of small studies this year, in studio, especially now it's too hot to go outside here in Tucson area. I like the 6x8's and occasional 8x10 for indoor work and rarely go over 9x12 outside. You can learn a lot by doing many small paintings as opposed to one big one. Repetition is the key to any learning as we found out beginning in pre-school!! And the world is a big place, with lots to paint, even in the same wash. Heck, even Monet found that out, painting many lily pads, over several years, at his pond, for example. Yes, some studies work, and some don't, but all are educational experiences. And our area is rich in subject matter as was my former old haunts near Lake Tahoe, and in the Sierra Nevada. Cheers from highly paintable Oro valley!! ;D

Small paintings are my usual format but I hadn’t thought of using them instead of notans to see if scene needs a larger canvas instead.
