    I love A line style dresses, they are so forgiving when your shape is not up to par for a clingy knit style dress. We need to see more like these.

    too cute. You make me think outside the box when it comes to commercial patterns. I wouldn't have purchased this pattern because I would look preggo in that top as is. Extending the bodice, so simple yet so game changing. Thank you Mimi.

    Nice little summer dress! I like to cut off the selvage edge. It seems to shrink at a different rate than the fabric sometimes and can pull the garment out of shape a little.

    I'm looking forward to doing the modified version also. I have a question though. I noticed that your white dress is longer than this striped one. Did you extend the bodice more than 1 inch on that one? Or is it that you left the white one unfinished on the bottom?

    I would like to use this pattern but I am a petite size the arm holes are usually too large how would I adjust this is there is a dart in this pattern?

  • @melissabutts8119
    @melissabutts8119 6 лет назад

    The pattern for a dress I have says to measure and cut the pattern for your bust size. According to the pattern, I have a bust size for an 8, but I know the rest of the pattern is going to be too large for the rest of me. How do I modify patterns for this? Do I cut everything out for the 8 then continue pinning and such until if fits me properly? There is some side paneling on the dress as well and I'm worried it will look odd if I do that. Any suggestions?
