Auckland airport. Be prepared for Super long and chaotic processing times at customs and bio security. They seem to sacrifice efficiency for bio security. Learn to do both.
@@ehabweb They claim on average the waiting time is short but when several planes land at once, it causes bottlenecks. It's shocking to me they can't handle several planes arriving at the same time. What kind of international airport is this ? I have never ever cleared customs at Auckland airport in under an hour.
AVOID AUCKLAND AIRPORT !!! I wish you good luck with your connecting flight, I too have missed my connecting due too long processing times...then had to pay $497 for the next available flight to Nelson. Now I fly Quantas to Christchurch then to Nelson. It takes a little longer but a least we won't be standing in a long queue & then have to pay extortionite price for another flight !!! Thanks.
@@HUAIREN666 thank you for replying. The border control process was quite smooth on 3/23 when I arrived at Auckland International. It took us less than 45 min to arrive at the gate of the domestic flight. In my opinion, it was sufficient but of course I would rather waiting at terminal than hurrying to catch up. And we paid the ticket with refundable or the flex option so that we wouldn’t need to pay extra in case we missed the connecting flight.
While I am counting down the months until I leave for New Zealand at the end of 2025. It's 17 months to go. When I have been there for a couple of weeks the first thing I am going to ask my dad is can we go to Browns Bay & have a couple pints of beer there? That is my favorite spot to enjoy watching telly and once we are finished our beers we can walk straight to the beach a for walk with our long blacks in our hands and maybe have a serious talk about me transferring to New Zealand by 2027 after I celebrate my 10th year at my job at Costco.
If you don't have to go through immigration and customs and your bags are checked in all the way to your destination then 2 hrs should be enough assuming no delays to your incoming flight.
I think it's about time Auckland has a new international airport because the current one looks totally inadequate. Just saw the spanking new $3bn terminal at Abu Dhabi airport on RUclips and it's way bigger than Auckland's and that's with a population that's smaller than Auckland's!😂
If you are connecting internationally and staying in the terminal then you should be fine. Everything depends on your passport so best to check the NZ immigration website.

Yup. I missed my connecting domestic flight last time because of the 90 minute lineup for bio security. They really need to do something about it.

Ahhh Auckland. I'll hopefully be going back next december
Very nice. I feel like I'm already there! 👍😍
How much time has the whole process taken?
I will travel to America and do a 12 hour transit in Auckland, do I need a transit visa?
My upcoming flight will arrive around 7:55am. Plan to connect a domestic flight around 11:35am. Will I have enough time?
This should be enough time.

So useful❤❤
For International arrival connecting domestic flight, do you think 3 hours is enough?
3 hours should be plenty of time.

As a exchange student in NZ this is nightmare
Great video. If I had an international connecting flight, do you think 2 hours is enough time at that airport?

But if they build a new airport then I'll have to make a new video 😉
