The most magnificent part of this project is the simplicity itself, the way they showcase mother nature, the rivers, oceans, woods, forests, mountains, deserts, it all makes you feel fortunate to be alive and living in this world. Jonna's beauty is so intricate and mysterious that no matter where she goes or what she does in the video, it brings a weird amazing sentiment to the soul.
Like ABBA said, THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC (which is richer than any other artist I know) and for making these videos that tell so many stories, stories of happiness, of sadness, of finding your own self, walking randomly in the beach and facing your own shadows, fighting them, and destroying them. Yes, the beach is therapeutic, and this era was your turn to be there to evaporate your demons.

I actually don't miss bounty, because bounty is an album with its own story, world and music style, kin too and also BLUE. The only common thing in these three albums is the story, because it continues in the next album. Why do you want songs like b,o, u, n, t, y? Then you're going to say "Oh, almost all songs sound like bounty, iamamiwhoami don't show any new thing and it's boring.". Why do you want a bounty 2?
Not that people want a 'bounty 2' but rather that when the original bounty was being released (kin too) people had no idea what was going on--it was a new type of music people weren't accustomed to. People of course have heard this type of music; most of my playlists are jam packed with indietronica like this... It's just not anything new, just pretty stuff that sounds nice and could play in an ad or in a storefront

This is my favorite song by iamamiwhoami. Simply the best. Epicness, beauty, drama, this godlike chorus and instrumentation. Blue was her first album I heard. Still is the most favorite. It's ridiculous how some hate on this masterpiece.
I recently heard about her a couple months ago first song was shadow show but wow amazing vibes and cords the best and melody I am in love with her I can't see how someone can't love her music. Beyond happy I discovered her

I lack words how to describe how i feel when I listen to her music.
The shadowy figures (the shadow men) represent her and her past, demonstrated when she looks in the mirror.
It seems like the space between Kin and this project has allowed her to find herself. She's not embracing a shadow man in the video. She's embracing herself.
Everything about that makes me love this song even more. She didn't just go to sea- she discovered her complete self. The island.
I have never loved a music video as much as this one. The song is incredible too.

I don't understand how so many of you can disrespect an artist's image as much as I'm seeing a lot of you are. Just because the videos from BLUE aren't like the videos from kin and bounty doesn't mean you should trash talk them and if you do then I personally don't consider you a fan. She's growing, she's changing, and she's making even more beautiful songs and videos. I find the whole thing totally amazing if you ask me, because she's evolving in such a beautiful way. To see an artist you love further her music and make it better all without the backing of a major record label behind her is truly inspiring and I think that instead of you trying to hurt her by posting hateful and unneeded comments, you should just keep your thoughts to yourself and let her create.

Completely agree! And even still, under the right emotional state the musical elements of what formed Bounty & Kin still shine through 100%. And the same will go for the next album with BLUE. They're just beyond incredible!

I am loving this era, the videos are so beautiful, I feel as though the meaning and imagery is more subtle, and I love that, as it is encouraging me to watch the videos over and try and create my own take on it.

To be completely honest, I'm not the fondest of Tap Your Glass but that's the beauty of her music. The more you listen, the more you love it. This one is beautiful. I love it straight away. The fans that say she's changed for worse, I hope you listen more and evolve with her and try to understand her inspiration. I mean, has she ever steered us wrong before?!

Whenever I need artistic inspiration for my writing I go back to the different eras of iamamiwhoami. The fluid transformation of her image and sound is astounding and ethereal. It just makes so much sense, her passion is palpable. So excited for ionnalee. May her legacy continue
This era has it's charm and change isn't a bad thing, but I really loved the darker and more surrealistic video's they did in the past. I still remember the time the first preludes came out and the mystery started. I had no clue of what I was watching, but it had me so intrigued. It was like some kind of drug to my eyes and ears. I really miss those times tho. This era isn't bad, it's different. The music and video's are lighter, happier and more 'normal'. But if I had to choose I'd prefer the darker and weirder era's in the past.
Jonna Lee's music is always really stunning.
Also I'm quite happy with the title of her new Album because my favorite color is blue!

Nobody complained they were in the woods for most of Bounty? I love images of the sea and I find these images refreshing. It's about rinsing off the muck, coming out of the dark and into the light. Let them tell their story if you don't like it you don't have to listen.

This song is so intensely personal for me. It came out at a time when I had to totally restart my life. I had to give up on all the things which defined me, strike out on my own. And Jonna's beautiful, gentle words helped more than any other. Who was I without them? I had to know. I continued the line, filled in the missing mark. She built me up, gave me strength, purpose. Honestly can't listen to this song without tears even today, but I'm so grateful for the force, the vector this song gave me and still gives me. Turns out starting again was the best thing I ever did.
She's so creative and yet so underrated. It's sad. This is one of my favorite songs from her.
This go around for iamamiwhoami compared to kin is so light and free and I love it. All these tracks from Blue really make me feel happy and serene I think that is what they are going for right now. That being said, if BLUE is meant to make people actually feel the ocean and the serenity it holds, regardless of people "like" it or not, they do an amazing job with production, writing, Jonna's Singing, and atmosphere and that gets so much credit from me to this project
iamamiwhoami Upon awakening this morning, through struggles and difficulties to achieve a full night of deep sleep and dreams, my energy flow wasn't connecting. Actually misfiring it seemed. And to receive notification that a new audio/visual piece was released just hours ago filled me with such a gratitude deep enough to change that. I truly believe in my reactions to each of the new songs for this album, with beautiful change in many aspects. What if the shadow guy who is building the paper boats and sending them out to see is supposed to represent people who have mimicked and imitated iamamiwhoami? She was throwing bottles out to sea and now he is sending boats out to sea in a similar way, but he has more boats - representing that his fanbase is larger, but he isn't nearly as devoted as Jonna is. He simply creates the boats and lays them in the water, while Jonna carefully places each note in the bottles and throws them out individually. Just a thought.

so funny to hear all of these people say anything negative about this new album. its quite interesting to think that someone would have judgement of art unless they have something to rival the amount of beauty or creativity that iamamiwhoami have presented. i specifically remember reading/hearing about when people would judge bjork on each new album simply because they wanted to re-live the previous album over and over. thats what we all love about bjork, the fact that each album is a new imagining of her ideals and creativity. no artist should stay the same, especially when a "fan" wants them to. the whole idea of art, and especially these types of artists that we love, is the fact that they change and evolve and bring us on the amazing journey with them. if you want to see the same thing that they have already created, then simply watch the old videos and listen to the old albums. if you have payed attention then you would know that they have specifically told us what their intentions were for this new album was to leave the past in the past. to venture out into new territory and continue the story. not read the same chapter again and again. how sad is it to consider yourself a "fan" or "follower" or whatever you want to call it, but all you do is want to hinder or expect something from someone that you believe in and love. i have loved every single moment of their creative travels, and will forever be in awe of what they produce. no matter how different or off path they decide to take it. i only hope that i can some day be as inspiring and enlightening as they have been for me.

This week I had to let go of a dear friend of mine. She was a cat named Tidbit, the sweetest little thing, and for the last 9 years she has meant the world to me. I was listening to this song in her last hours. It moves me SO much. From now on I will listen to this and think of my precious friend. What a beautiful tribute. Thank you for the AMAZING music!! so far this is my favorite piece off of blue. That song just hit my energy & the visuals, well they're just amazing
Her new style is slowly growing on me, but I think this new era is so different from her previous work that I'm not sure if I truly like the change or not. I know for sure that both Jonna and the creative team poured their souls into this project. Although the imagery featured in Blue feels too common and draws so many unfavourable links to music videos I'd rather not watch, the way iamamiwhoami collectively draws out a surreal touch is unmatched. Out of all the media I've consumed and enjoyed, the impressions I attain from iamamiwhoami are genuine. Even if the sound and visuals are somewhat different from the previous eras, that vague, fleeting aura this project has will never change for me.
I would love if you could refer me to some more videos like this, as I absolutely adore it and would like to watch something more like it. (seriously)

Beautiful. Both the song and the video. I actually fell in love with this one at the first listen, unlike the previous track, "tap your glass", which is also great. This project is getting more and more exciting as things seem to tie up in their videos. I'm still not getting it all, but hey, that's the beauty of iamamiwhoami, the mystery! The whole ocean theme of this era is really exquisite and soothing. Got to love their work indeed.
New videos rule, especially when you're bored from life in city, and you get your 5min of rest in office, I enjoy those skies, sea, stuff, they remind me to plan an escape from everything :)
