MT full energy every time Kei holding back til last round. MT great technique, musicality, and hitting consistantly !
MT came in with a lot of energy with his dance, and had a lot of dynamic movements which accents the music well. On the other hand, you have to focus very closely on how Kei pops to the songs. His moves are very subtle, and he varies the power/softness of his popping, hitting and ticking to match different layers of the music. The dance itself is subjective to what the judge's look for, so in my eyes both of them are winners in their own respective interpretation to the music.
The brief silence after the verdict says it all 😅😅😅😅😅 MT should have won this Shirofes.
動画で見る景色と実際のその場の雰囲気はまた違う。MTが勝ったかもとは私も思ったがjudgeは公平である。

Impossible that MT Pop lose this. Kei's 3rd round was even short.
Kei did have some great isolation and subtlety, but come one MT Pop did the same + much more.

Damn that was a straight ROB!!! What the heck were the judges thinking?! The only thing I can think of is that they felt Kei's hit was way more powerful than MT Pop's, if they were solely judging on that then ok....but still thats ridiculous, MT Pop murdered that and brought way more energy and concepts. Kei's second round was horrible and pretty much threw it away. I was shocked to see he won. This is why street dance contest's are always a gamble.
It's a popularity contest. That's why I stop entering contest.
Mostly they get it right with MT Pop.

Kei's last round was even short and MT Pop was still peaking near the end of every round and you could see each time he was about to do something else spectacular if he had more time.

Kei is dope and always has been, but in this one.... GTFO... MT Pop took this one hands down on all levels. But it happens, regardless both came with it, just felt like MT came A LOT more with it in this one.

this being said i would have voted for Mt (ps: that old judge hating on Mt pop. Poppin J is the best judge ever. im a little surprised by his choise.
Edit: I think some people are exagerating like if Mt Smoked kei. Yes, what MT pop did in his rounds was more difficult. Way more difficult to perform in a battle. But Kei's pop's & waves were better and his confident during his rounds (more confident than ever seen him) really helped his dance here. MT seeming like a gimmick but was very unpredictable here. respect both dancers.
i think i'd disagree about his pops and waves being better. I think thats what makes MT so insane is that he is a very creative dancer, but he also has clear fantastic foundations in popping with extremely controlled smooth waves and hard hitting pops. Also I don't believe MT was any less confident than Kei here. In fact, Kei seemed a little unconfident and worn out in the last round

At 3:51, the end of Kei's round, he already looked defeated. I judge by who do I want to see more first and I think that encapsulates style, creativity, and technicality. Pop won by leaps and bounds.

8:00 is it just me or the crowd seem to be in disbelief at the decision? haha 2 judges had their OG goggles on that day. I enjoyed both poppers but you can ruin an event just like that.

Examples of bad popping judging:
Damon frost never voted against salah, he always voted either draw or for salah since they friends
Walid is not objective he dont like any type of gimmick dance, you either dance like him or he would easily vote against you.
French judges vote for french dancers
OG's vote for their friends if the battle is close (this is a great example).
If you a known dancer and the battle is close, you will get judges vote 90% of the time.
If for example gucchon likes scarecrowd, and you are popping john dancing against a boogalo dude YOU DONE BRUH!
Keith is an OG so it could be a Master Roshi vs chibi Goku kind of thing where "it's not your time yet". MT Pop did incredible considering it looks like sprained his right foot as well.

Ummmm... kei was good but not impressed me ,just do something move he used to do,and Mt pop,I think he has a lot energy and new special styles in this event. Respect judges but I agree with Dino ,Mt pop should win this battle.

I dunno it was close. I couldn't judge it without being there. Kei definitely hit harder though. MT pop was more creative. I'd have to be there to call a winner, I'm not qualified to judge these guys professionally . There may have been politics involved. however ^3:20, reminder of Kei skill.

Kei easily won this battle, people. It's great that MT Pop is creative enough to have all of the moves that he has but Kei is a clear example as to why less can be more. His musicality made the difference.

You can tell mt pop was tired. He ended up just busting his concepts at the last minute and at that point he lost his signature groove. Understandable that he lost.

IMO, Kei is on another level in this battle compared to MT. His musicality is insane in this one, which totally changed my opinion about him.
Yes, MT is doing more difficult moves to kill the beat. But Kei is doing more than killing the beat. He's trying to express the overall feeling of the music. Just pay attention to how each of his round looks and feels.His dance and the music are becoming one.
I absolutely love his first round. The musicality is spot on. MT's rounds are dope. But they don't look so different in terms of feeling. In fact, his techniques are distraction from the expression of feeling.
This is objective though. But I totally agree with the judges.
Yall people need to open your eyes up more. MT Pop doesn't have that raw musicality when executing move after move like some dancers like Greenteck. He's too technical in between his moves and overly creative sometimes. Not saying he isn't an incredible dancer, but Kei won that two rounds out of three.
