Love Sarah and totally agree Fumbling should be in anyones top 3 albums, mine are Tori Amos “little earthquakes”, Nathalie Merchant “tiger lily “ and “Fumbling towards ecstasy”. ❤
I was a regular at a very small venue in the 1980's and I found out she was coming on tour after her first album. I begged the owner to book her. He said, "We're going to lose money." I said, "It'll be worth it." He did, and it was. She was only 19 and brought a grand piano into the club that held about 300 people. I'm so lucky.
I went to a nurses house to do a repair. She was playing Fumbling towards ecstasy album. It just clicked with me, so I went out and bought the cd. I still love it.
Hold on Hold on to yourself For this is gonna hurt like hell. Hold on Hold on to yourself. You know that only time will tell What is it in me that refuses to believe This isn't easier than the real thing. My love You know that you're my best friend. You know that I'd do anything for you And my love Let nothing come between us My love for you is strong and true. Am I in heaven here or Am I... At the crossroads I am standing. So now you're sleeping peaceful I lie awake and pray That you'll be strong tomorrow And will see another day And we will praise it And love the light that brings a smile Across your face. Oh god If you're out there won't you hear me. I know we're never talked before And oh god The man I love is leaving Won't you take him when he comes to your door. Am I in heaven here or Am I in hell At the crossroads I am standing. So now you're sleeping peaceful I lie awake and pray That you'll be strong tomorrow And we will see another day And we will praise it And love the light that brings a smile So now you're sleeping peaceful I lie awake and pray That you'll be strong tomorrow And will see another day And we will praise it And love the light that Brings a smile across your face Hold on Hold on to yourself For this is gonna hurt like hell Source: Musixmatch
Brandi doing the bit of faking the opening bars and Sarah materializing out of the stage fog like the 90s angst avatar that she is, 100% perfect. Thanks for this everyone involved, signed, one of those 90s gays this performance was aimed at!
Other than Joni Mitchell, and Anne Murray. Sarah McLachlan was the next female singer from Canada, to cross over into USA/ European territory, and become a huge big deal success. When you were a female Canadian artist in the 1980s like Sarah was, the chances of you making it out of Canada was slim. Sarah has done well. Love her.
Love Sarah McLachlan. She's still as amazing as the first time I saw her sing live on the Fumbling Towards Ecstasy music tour.
We've seen Sarah live three times, and it is never enough. I wish we had seen this show live!
This is our generation’s Last Waltz. Holy moly is this incredible.
Absolutely amazing, thank you !!
I wish I had been at this amazing concert with all these icons! Brandi must have a magic wand in her back pocket!
Dear lord I love Sarah. Fumbling Towards Ecstasy is easily top 3 albums of all time for me. Their voices together are heavenly.
It is in my top 5

My top 3 too. I listened to the album in jr high over & over again. Such a perfect album…and to hear Brandi now, add to it. 😭 SO wonderful.
Sarah was a big part of the 90’s for me. Her sweet songs are so beautiful.

Sadness
🪻🌹🪷
Weak microphone volume 👂🏼
Cell phone, outdoors so that's the best you're gonna get.
Tough 💩
The joke
That is just about the worst sound balance I've ever heard on a video. Completely spoils it ☹
Yeah. It’s awful I agree. Hand over mic. Dancing my head off. Crying my eyes out. Shame 🤪
