There are very few violinists who maintained their technical command at as high a level as Zukerman throughout his career. I find he particularly shines in these more intimate pieces, which he has thankfully done more of recently. A wonderful collaboration with the magnificent talent at the Israel Philharmonic. May the piece also serve as an expression of love, and prayer for peace, for the people of Israel!
