TOP-0072 RHOX 88” Extended Top on a Club Car DS with SEAT-721 Rear Seat Kit

Installation instructions for the RHOX 88" Extended Top (TOP-0072) on a New Style Club Car DS with a RHOX 700 Series Rear Seat Kit (SEAT-721). RHOX Rear Top Struts, TOP-0105, are recommended with this specific 700 Series Rear Seat Kit. The top is universal. Installation may vary.
The same instructions apply to the other color options of RHOX 88" tops (TOP-0071 White and TOP-0073 Black).

The video shows a buff color top but the website only shows black? Is the buff nolonger available?

would you say that these instructions would hold true for a 1996 Club Car DS? I'm looking into buying a roof similar to what you have on this video, but I dont know if the install will be something I can handle or if I need to take it to a shop. Your video is very helpful and if the instructions are similar to what I would have to do for my golf cart, then I dont think its necessary for me to take it into a shop. Thoughts?

It would depend on the specific seat kit, struts and top, along with your comfort level. Older DS carts have different struts and tops than the newer ones. We design our struts to work with our rear seats and the top. Our top is universal so it can be mounted different ways .

@Jacob Karwoski We are out of stock of the TOP-0105 struts at the moment. They include hardware. The drill bit would be determined by the hardware size. 10mm would be the absolute largest hardware that could be included in the kit. I believe it is smaller though.

Do you have to update your struts when you add an extended roof or would the original stock struts work with a universal extended roof?

Most of the time you will need new struts but it will vary on a case by case scenario. The rear struts are generally provided by the rear seat kit manufacturer.

Make sure you use lock washers and Loctite my top rattled loose and blew off my golf cart because the golf cart company did not use lock washers or Loctite trust me this is key do not make the same mistake I experienced
