Congrats my dude I have watched you and your brother for going in 5 or 6 years and in that time I tried for 2 years to play poker full time but in the end I couldn't do it too stressful with no other income but that doesnt mean I stopped rooting for you...congrats man you deserve it and hope this is the first of many
I have seen a lot poker highlight Clips over the last years but this was by far the most thrilling one...at the JJ shove i held my breath :-D since i saw the first part i was waiting inpatient to see the next one. Keep up the good work and big congrats to that score. all the best
Well done mate but jamming with AQ when the small stack was 9 mill and not in the pot was a bit insane. The other shove with Jacks was gutsy but also insane. Both worked but could easily have backfired big time. Still happy for you, good job
Well done dude... long time due some major milestone. Congratz! Next week for the win!! KQs bvb last 3 is a clear shove. K4s not that good check shove.
@David Shell No need to be tricky this deep in the tournament with shallow stacks bvb. Just ship it, take it down or get called by KJ, always ev+. Could've made the difference later on.
@David Shell I get that, but we are not talking chip ev, we are talking $ev. Being the shortest stack with 20bb last 3, having the opportunity to add 8% to your stack with close to no variance seems to me the way to go. You deny equity to hands that beat you post flop and If the biggest stack decides to call and you win you'll have 40+ BB and back in the game. With AA you have a made hand, with KQ you need to hit, anyway, multiple opinions are what keep the game alive. :)
I’m from Virginia and a college student trying to get into online poker. Any recommendations on sites that I can get into to play ? I saw that it’s only legal in a few states but I wasn’t sure.
actually this was not a good play with the K4. 15BB deep this is okay but for 20 its a litte bit too much on such a rather dry board. He would have had to call down anyway though.
Congrats man! You sound like a cross between Chicago Joey and your brother ;-). Already knew the result but enjoyed watching your journey. Best wishes for continued success!
I don't comment too often on youtube but been following both u and Jaime from Day1 always rooting for u Guys. this Score warmed my heart almost as if id won myself. congrats man! regarding those shoves with AQ and JJ: i dont think i would have done it. if called by AK and bust ud feel like it was a punt given the huge icm in play there. soooo glad when they folded 😂
whats with people saying i dont comment much on you tube i dont get it no offence but does it matter wether you comment alot or not does it make your comment mean more or something YES IM TRIGGERED and GG to matt but please explain
@@therealslimshady8903 well there is ppl that comment everything, everywhere but i want Matt to feel the importance of his Achievement by adding this Statement. Nothing but love Brah.
Is there anyway to watch the full recording? I know I probably won't watch the whole thing but it'd be nice to see a wider range of matthew's game, then just all the highlights.
No. But they do start with small amounts, like 20k chips for their $215 buy-in and then they grind all the way up to those millys. Payouts for placements are obviously on the leaderboard he shows after knockouts
K4o hand is pretty bad. And i'm not saying this because opponent had AK. Your hand doesn't need protection, he's never calling you on that board with worse. You jam he has easy decisions plus you're taking him the opportunity to bluff. GG anyway.
Completely agree, especially in a tournament for that much money in pay jumps with 3 people left. You can call there and re-access on turn. Anything less then a King is folding to a jam, and anything K or better is beating you and probably calling. He played well (and got the luck you need) but he still had a couple shoves in this tourney that didn't make sense in terms of stack sizes and value. He could of just 4X raised blinds in a couple spots and got the same folds (not talking about last hand), with a chance to still fold yourself to a re-shove or still call (while gaining more information on their hand) to a jam. Still his play has improved a lot over the years, just a few things to still iron out. Sounds weird even saying that to someone who just won over 90 grand, but we can all still keep learning and adding to our game.
Can you explain shove @ 4:15? It seems overly risky to me. Do you really think it's a positive EV play? I loved the shove at 13:30 however. Very gutsy play that is profitable IMO and you had a great read.
Yeah he was playing real lose lmao I’m sure it was a crazy long session but it’s like a wild card making the super bowl we call that happy to be there haha! Shit though hell of a win regardless hats off to him quick 100 thou from cards that’s fantastic. He could have won it all though even having half their chips one smart double up and it’s anyone’s game two or three and u locked it tough with huge blinds though and he wasn’t seeing much heat toward the end.
hi i hav a genuine ques that every1 wants to know. if u take a challenge eg 1k BR to 10k n when u succeed in making 20k. do u withdraw all the money just to new challenge. i mean when n how to withdraw ur winnings?
5 handed squeeze that AQ from the bb to 13M off your 57M stack, the 40bb rip was nuts glad it got through, main reason is 2 shorties and you double your money getting 3rd instead of 5th
@@CN4891-c1z Not a bluff, How are you playing AA KK QQ from the bb here? Squeeze jam 40bb 5handed? You're choosing a 3b size to induce right? Why wouldn't we balance this sizing for all our 3bets off this stack size then? It'd be 10M to call and we'd have 44M behind, there's not much room to continue light here especially when they've seen Matt flatting a lot, playing more of a postflop strategy versus getting into a lot of preflop wars. If we get 4b jammed on we have to do some soul searching and proper range assessment given dynamics, Idk if the CL was the type to run preflop plays he seemed fishy, maybe we could find a fold but probably not. What are you suggesting we do, Jam? Flat?
1st time watching one of your vids. I've been watching Jamie on and off over the last year or two...he's great, of course. When you check-jam K4 there, how often does the villain call with something you beat?
How does he stream live without other players seeing his hand? 2 min delay or something?
How To 4 min delay yes.
