Thought I'd never be a cat Mama due to allergies, LOVE black cats, but they get me sneezing and wheezing! Then one day buying a birdfeeder, I stopped by the kitten adoption, and a tiny Tuxie hopped up to snuggle down on my shoulder and purr in my ear. HAD to chance it, and guess what? No allergies! We were best friends for 23 years, bless him. Now a second Tuxie has found me, an opinionated little girl who thinks she's MY Mama and scolds me accordingly. Seems Tuxie cats were my destiny, and I couldn't feel more blessed.
I had an orange female and she was such a close friend, almost dog-like. One time I scolded her, and she cried sadly. I learned from her how to bond affectionately with cats. Sadly she lived only ten years; when most of my cats live to 21. That's one reason I think she carried a genetic defect, The other is that her babies only lived for 5 days, then got sick and died. The vet tried to help by giving the next litter gamma globulin, but still no luck. We had to give up our plan to let her raise one litter, and then alter her. I met a woman in our neighborhood also with an orange female, and she offered that her kitty had the same problem. An orange tom lived over the fence, so we always had several of his offspring ginger cats around. When we buried her near his fence of origin, another ginger cat walked over on the fence to attend the burial. While my 2-year old cried and protested us putting earth over her.
We’ve always called the full black and orange cats calico, and the ones with white bellies tortoise shell, because it looks like the dark fur on their back makes it look like a tortoise shell.
Calico and Torties are friggin crazy . I knew they were different but I didn't know how different they were until my veterinarian asked me why I got another one. Then she explained their differences between regular cats and them . That extra chromisone in there little heads makes a big difference. 😂
Yup its true about black cats follows me around, lap cat and plus loves to snuggle under the covers with me. If I don't let him in he will lay by my head.
I have 2 black former feral female cats who both showed up in my backyard at different times. Raven has been with me in the house for 5 years, Shadow for 4 months. Both are sweet and loving girls. 🥰

My ginger/orenge cat has some really neat stipes and prints. She always flicks her tail at me when sassy or irritated, like a F U Momma. But gives the best ‘I love you’ transfixed hard gazes making biscuits purring loudly.
I love ALL cats and have had many throughout my life. I didn't know that most orange cats are male. I did know that most calicos are female though. Both rather interesting facts.🤔 Currently we have two 8-month-old tabbies. Tina is mostly dark grey with an orange spot behind her left ear. Louise is black and blond striped. (Though she was more orange when she was born.) And they both have bandy legs and the tabby M. According to this video Tina has the personality of a grey cat whereas Louise is more like an orange tabby. "Our cats are little weirdos." You say that like it's a bad thing. 😂
I adopted a very sweet black cat from a shelter an she is the most loving an patient cat every an Holy cow does she love to cuddle I also have a gray tabby an he is hell on paws but he loves me an follows me every where I go I also have a stray cat that adopted me last winter he is absolutely terrified of people an he's still learning that we won't hurt him I'm pretty sure he was abused but he's learning that my home is safe an he has food fresh water an tons of love an he's starting to cuddle me a Lil bit
I adopted a cat by searching petfinder for an orange cat. He’s very sweet and mostly docile. My vet said orange cats are the closest thing to having a dog
I think they’re more chill because they’re most often males, and once you get them fixed, they become big lazy goofs. All my childhood cats were males except one, and two of those males were gingers. They were big babies. It’s always the female cats that stay sassy 😂
I know loyalty from cats, because I have seen it. Yes two of my cats, that they died (a mother and her later grown up kitten). They had tumors in their belly. Probably then inherited bad genes. But still, they both came back after/ within 48 hours. To die on the operating table from the vetenarian. They died on the operation table. But they came back to me. I took the wanderer "Minimeis" in. She was spotted many times in our neighbourhood, but I took her in, just under 3 months old. And her kittens (next year) , she wanted me to help delliver them. Two of 3 helped coming to the world. Only the last kitten I did not expect. I had several cats and none of them chose to hide themselves. Okay at first they maybe did.
Experience has taught me that black males and felico females are the best values, if you want a long life with low vet bills these the are the best value if you want 20 years from a pet
They're so lovely! But I've never spent time with one that didn't make me crazy allergic. Same with black cats and OMG, Abyssinians.😢 Have had to leave friends' homes early after their little darlinz found their way to my lap and melted my face. Must be something in certain cats' dander, or the oil in their fur.
@nancymcmonarch I see. You are allergic to cats 🐈 🐈⬛️. Pity! I am sure there are cat breeds that you can own if you are allergic to cats. Sphinx cats maybe 🤔?
@@sabbirhoque6941 Yes! Wrote about it in my top comment. For whatever reason, I'm fine with Tuxedo cats. Have had two of them enter my life quite unexpectedly, each probably thinking "That lady needs me right now!" ☺
@nancymcmonarch Oh cool. I am glad to hear you are not allergic to Tuxedo cats. Tuxedo cats are quite pretty. My dream cat is a pure white Maine Coon. They look like they came from the heavens 😍...
I have a black cat with a white stripe down neck and white cat with a few black spots. What is their history. I love them both equally as they love me, too, along with my yorkie they all are males
I have to disagree with you my baby girl Chiquita is black she texted me I was looking at a little kitten and this baby girl that I've got just stared at me through the window of the little room I was in and I just knew no she's as far as I'm concerned black cats to go more and she's the second black one I've had and the other one picked me also
I have had a few black cats and love them. I am not married and don't have any babies so I don't have to worry about cats sucking the breath out of any babies. (Just kidding, cats don't do that.)

when will cats be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their fur? 😻
Never. You don't know how much the color does reveal in a cat ..it's not the same as a human my dear
@@kandiceblu1 I believe you're confusing the "color" with the word "breed".
I love torties, calicos and um...
Redheads!
@garyssimo all three can be very sweet, but redheads can also bite and scratch and throw books at you.

The M on tabby's are for Murder. 😂
How about orange and white cats (as in both colors in the fur, like Tuxedos)?

Why are the chapter titles "side hustle"?
This is about as accurate as horoscopes are for human personalities.

Rubbish. Cat personality reflects to their breed not their colors.
