I’ve always felt bad whenever it comes to Derek. She loves him so much and you can tell. She can never speak about him long with out breaking down. I think that if he survived everything would be different. I think she’d be a different person.

Excuses to be a horrible person! I didn't grow up with my mom and after coming to live with her didn't took care of me and I can talk about everything I went through as a child and teenager, but the bottom line is thanks to the hard life I'm not what happen to me in the contrary I'm way better each day, so ether u become a victim of your own past or a survival and move on, Farrah likes to play the victim role very well, and her mother make mistakes yes, but she's definitely making worst mistakes than her own mother and one day Shopia will throw it in her face and only then Farrah will remember everything she did to her mother, poor girl i feel for her went that happens!

Yelena Blanka her mother watched her get molested by her uncle and didn’t protect her and it affected her deeply, made her angry and defensive against her. She wasn’t always like that, but true you shouldn’t let you’re past define you. She should have got help earlier

To be happy about somebody dying is pretty messed up if my daughter became pregnant at 16 I wouldn't wish for my grandchild father to die and be happy about it for some reason I believe Farrah when she said that and like I said before I'm not a fan of hers...but still i believe her

Ive always felt Farrah had to become the persona we see on tv to literally survive the trauma she went through. Her parents were both terrible in their own way. Her baby being kidnapped is seriously traumatic. She’s come a long way and I think she genuinely wants to do better for her little girl. I hope she knows how deserving she is of real love.

I really do feel bad for her losing Derek, she never got over that heartbreak and all the fighting at home really messed her up. Shes had no support in anything. Do I agree with her choices? No. Do I agree with some of the things she allows Sophia to do? No. Do I like her attitude? No. But I think she’s had a very unfair start in life and people don’t understand it really does mess you up for life. It doesn’t always just go away with therapy.
No, it doesn't just go away with therapy; but, you do grow up and take responsibility for your own actions and move on with life. How long can you lean on that crutch and cry "poor, pitiful me"? Eventually, her parents will be dead and gone, but she will still be crying and blaming them for her bad choices in life. It gets old. She's in her thirties, if not 40.

I’ve never been able to stand Farah, the way she treats people is appalling. No amount of editing could change the obvious rude demeanor she has.
I think there are a lot of reasons Farah acts like she does, the main one being, I think her parents couldn’t handle her and so they spoiled her rotten. I also don’t buy the “my mom mistreated me, so that’s why I act the way I do” story. I had A VERY traumatic childhood and I don’t mistreat people, so I don’t buy it, at all!!

She’s such a broken person. All her childhood pains are still so present. I feel like the traumas I experienced as a younger person are things I’ve lived *through*. It seems as though her traumas are all still being lived.
It was so GOOD to hear her speak out on things. It’s so evident that she is STILL hurting so so bad and that’s so heartbreaking. I wish she could make peace with her past and be able to live TOTALLY in the present. Sounds like she has done a lot of growing. That’s wonderful to see. I wish her nothing but the best in the future. Happiness and peace and continued success.
Her problem is the way she treats ppl and how she doesn’t take accountability for ANYTHING. If she owned up to her shit, I think ppl would relate to her and start to feel for her. Cindy Smith She is a victim and victims victimize others. Her behavior has been taught to her by her mother and her mother was treated the same way by her own mother. However the difference is that Farrah doesn't treat Sophia the way she's been treated and Farrah is breaking the cycle.

You didn't like him and never wanted him to know you were pregnant. Remember, there are people out here who knew you in real-life and call your lies. You treat your sister like she's not good enough for you. You blame her for everything you ppssibly could. Especially your DUI. That was her fault.

I have carried my 5 month old and 3 year old around with no help I have carried a double stroller up the steps with no help many times she is acting like she couldn’t carry all that stuff by herself please it’s not that hard to carry a crap load of stuff by your self either take your kid I the house put them in the crib and go back out and get your stuff and make many trips or put your kid in their crib and than got back out and get it all at once.

Northern Witch I couldn’t agree with you more from what I read she pushed Sofia onto her parents so she could go to school and get her degree and her parents had custody of her while she was in Florida. I use to live with my mama and I didn’t live rent free nope I have to pay my share and pay rent even though they owned the home. Which I didn’t compline about my mom was preparing me to be ready to live on my own. Farrah was asking to get smacked from what I saw of 16 and pregnant and the teen mom shows I’m happy her mama did it the way she was acting and treating her.

Your mom reminds me a lot of my mom. My mother has borderline personality disorder (she says she doesn't but she has been diagnosed). I wonder if maybe your mom could have it too. Just because a lot of things you say about your mom and you relationship reminds me of my mom and I. My husband always tells me that at the end of the day, I'm still a little girl at heart wanting my mother to love me. It just got too unhealthy for me and even though I never thought I could live my life without her, now I do. I thought my mom hung the moon, she was my best friend I thought, but she is also toxic and when can't control me, she looses it. I hope you find peace with yourself and your mother! I know how sad and lonely life can be without one. However, I now realize that I miss a mother that never existed. My daily life is so much happier and healthier without her in it and I am such a better mom without all the extra drama she brings into my life.

Know that you're not alone. My relationship with my mom is the same way. I am 42 and I've lived with a mom that doesn't accept having bpd either. One one hand she can be very loving and caring on the other hand mentally abusive, flies off the handle and can't communicate healthy whatsoever. There are times I've had to cut her off to keep my inner peace. Just wanted to share with you 😊

When I’m stuck in the past , I try and remember that life is about lessons and experiences good or bad. You have every right to feel how you feel and just look ahead. It’s even worse for you and others in the public eye. Stay strong and stay in the light. Keep your frequency high and positive. Doing so will only bring positive vibes your way. mike starr she wasn’t 16 I think she was 17 when she got pregnant and 18 when she gave birth. I remember her first episode that was the first thing I noticed she was older then the other girls.
She was both an adult and teen, she had a baby young. Do you hear yourself. She had responsibilities for the baby but at the same time was trying to become an adult without help from her parents. Its a sad situation. Her parents were also going through a divorce. This girl had it hard don't judge her. She was on birth control and got pregnant, then her boyfriend dies and then her parents get divorced all in a few months apart. She is actually doing better than most people would. So don't be quick to judge.🤔

I've noticed that a lot of people who've been through so much trauma in their childhood produce a very narcissistic personality. I had a close friend and a parent that are narcisists. They both had one thing in common, they were molested continuously as children and their mothers did not protect them. They were overly sensitive, very combative, competitive, rude, and always viewed themselves as victims and superior. They ended up isolating themselves from everyone around them and was very deeply miserable inside. You have to realize that these people like Farrah are traumatized and hurt (not that I'm excusing their behavior). Knowing this makes it a lot easier to pray for that person and encourage that person to build a closer relationship with God. We are ALL flawed and we need to pray for each other's short-comings. Hating and insulting her does not make her a better person, so it's a waste of time. Pray for her, yourself, and others.

I don’t know what she was like pre “Teen Mom”, but she seems like she had done almost a complete 180 when she started “16 & Pregnant” and Derrick (sp?) passed away. She was a cheerleader and had the “perfect life” for a teenage girl before she got pregnant, and she had to give all of that up whilst the father of her child died. I don’t condone her behavior, but I understand it.

I feel like Farrah really felt alone after Derrick’s death. I can relate to her bc my bf died young as well. As a single mother, it’s true you are faved with so much & you’ll do anything to provide a better life for your kids especially when your resources are limited. I once went from attending church every weekend to considering stripping just to pay all the bills I had accumulated from motherhood. Thank God , he had different plans for me. I feel like she really had the perfect storm. She made some bad choices but as a teenager, bring in the public eye , having your own shortcomings and insecurities...I really can’t judge her. She comes across as genuine. I wish her the best.

Its very clear she still struggles with her family. Its horrible to want support and love but your family constantly let you down and even when they try you can't see it.
Its also clear that there is a vicious cycle of abuse with the grandmother mother and farrah.

What a terrible thing to say to your daughter after realizing her boyfriend just died...This woman is such a bad person, now she seems to be sweeter just because they have more money but you just have to listen to every single word she says and the way she says those things...she clearly has a mental disorder.
