I appreciate that Martha doesn’t talk too much and spit over her food while she’s preparing it... like a lot of other cooks and so called chefs do on television.
You worry too much. You think the cooks and chefs in professional kitchens are wearing spit guards? How bout your grocer where you buy food prepared by the employees? Relax, our world is covered in filth, we can handle it 🦠
The cookies look beautiful and I'm sure it taste good. It is something different from normal cookies but i will definitely try this recipe. I really adore your recipes and i loved watching your videos. Love ❤️ from Malaysia 🇲🇾.
Wow you cooking skills is outstanding ery professionally way you make this recipe thanks looks very yummy 😋 thanks for the great upload big like dear stay blessed ❤
my german gma would roll out and cut small rounds. then she would add a drop of water to the tops and they would rise up into a little dome while baking. no frosting.
Me and my husband wants to go to Germany just for the pferfernusse cookies 🍪, we love this cookies greatly!!!!! I love the tip you just share. I want to try it. Oh my goodness. Thank you very much!!!!
Canola oil will coat the measuring cup and not carry with it that nasty taste left behind by the propellant from the spray. Dunno if anyone else cam taste that, but I always can.
Since I researched that Kirsch (I had to keep trying for spelling) is a kind of brandy, which is alcohol, is there any virgin substitute you'd recommend in the glaze?
Just one person's opinion here, but using molasses makes this more like gingerbread, which pfeffernusse is not. I prefer honey, and would never skip cardamon as you did here. But in any case they're going to be delicious.
Omg as a German dear Martha, you couldn’t be further from an authentic pfeffernusse cookie recipe. I would liken this to a glorified gingerbread almost. Your dipping is fine as usual but your lebkuchen spice mix is so off. We don’t use milk or molasses either. Cinnamon Allspice Cloves Coriander Star Anise Ginger Mace Cardamom Nutmeg
The original recipe does not use molasses or pepper use honey. & anise seed ground to make the ordinal there is no milk no kerish use rum instead oh Martha why not call them Martha cookies because this isn’t pfeffernuise
This cookie was a bit too sweet for me so I chose not to frost it. I made the following alterations... Swapped the molasses for honey. Only put a half a dash of clove, added 2 dashes of cayenne, added 3/4 tsp of ginger, omitted the nutmeg cuz it upsets my tummy. I also added 1/4 tsp of salt and reduced the sugar a little bit. Next time I would only use 1/2 c of the brown sugar. I was craving a nice spicy cookie and this fit the bill quite nicely. I’ve also made the Food Wishes pfeffernusse and I do like that one because it is less sweet but I wish it contained butter.
please please please make it so we can just play the next video automatically on the martha stewart app ive been watching the show on there for a few months now and it doesn’t let u chrome cast (which is fine) but when i air play it stops the show and messes up the shop i was in so it doesn’t show that i’ve watched that episode please fix it if y’all can
This looks so delicious. I'm definitely giving this a try
Of course, Martha doesn’t make anything ordinary… it must be extraordinary! That’s what we Leo’s doooo. 😅❤️🔥

I LOVE Pfeffernuss cookies! I always just rolled them in confectionery sugar. Yummy!
Too many consonants especially Ps and Fs. Even the word Consonants has too many consonants, see?
I made these from the website last Friday. They are awesome!

This lady knows her business. If she tells someone how to make cookies... They had best make them. 😁🍻

These sound incredible, and the recipe seems simple enough for me. I'll have to give it a try, the addition of black pepper is intriguing.

World Market and big lots have those but fresh is way better 😀
Try a little bit of smoked flaked sea salt on top of the cookies… or just a touch of coarse pepper…
As a child I remember these. I thought a bit hard. Maybe a hot chocolate or coffee cookie. Thanks

When you get tired of the bland kiffles, thumb prints, etc. try them

I thought the sprinkle on top was red velvet crumbs! ❤❤❤

I made them and everyone liked them a lot
What is the purpose of the molasses?
It’s a sweet oddball flavor. You just don’t have any in your cabinet do you? Go buy it.

When is she going to retire?🤔
These European cookies have very strong taste. I don't really like them that much.
Why work and sweat makeing a bunch of cookies for ungrateful guests when all you gotta do is go to the store and just. buy them...simple and sweet.
i can’t eat nothing that is in earthly spices
Martha doesn’t measure her flour rite:
Ur supposed to fluff it and spoon it in to measuring cup
She's MFing Martha Stewart, she does what she wants.
She's Martha Stewart. You're a nobody.
😋 yum
