UPDATE: I flew to Germany and put your questions and complaints directly to the Fanatec CEO - the answers are explosive: ruclips.net/video/loDLY2dbYoQ/видео.html
The CEO is a total wanker. When i had major issues with my original DD1 i somehow managed to contact him directly via email, and as a result i get a replacement DD1 and a 20% discount on my next order. I spent an absolute s***load as a result, and half the stuff i received was sub-standard. He doesn't care, he's made his millions already, he could walk away and leave the mess for someone else to clean up.
it was very troubing for me to hear the CEO giving some BS answers and then calling for loyalty from customers, and also dismissing those "not loyal" former customers, they are either crooks, or incredibly incompetent in running the business, all bad excuses, they took people money, now they are putting excuses, while he also bragged about growing from 40 million to 180 million sales, what a guy
Fanatec is only relevant to me because of PS5 compatibility. I hope Sony losing a recent court case about controllers and gatekeeping licenses, results in Sony standardizing their process clearly. I’d love to use Asetek or even Simagic gear with GT7 without relying on some buggy adapter hack.
@@hellobc3488 Logitech G Pro racing wheels with their load cell pedals or with the Logitech G29's pedals using the TrueBrake mod if you get the Logitech adapter.
@@ItsMe-yg4yi my comment says “without relying on some buggy adapter hack”. From what I’ve seen there’s not any adapter that does a great job of adapting wheel bases and hardware to ps5.
Fanatec wouldnt replace the belt in my csl elite last year, said i needed to upgrade to the dd. I Took the old belt off myself and found a company to make a few custom belts for me. Cost me $80 and it works good as new. Was very easy
Craziest part about this entire situation is that even though at this point in early 2024 it's obvious to the entire world that there are many other competitors out there that are as good or better than Fanatec, Thomas still believes that they are the only business in town who has quality sim racing products. Just watch any of his interviews from the expo a few months ago and it's clear he is delusional and narcissistic. It's really a shame because this kind of thing can ruin a company's reputation and we're seeing it happen first hand right now.
I got into sim racing during Covid and it is insane how poorly they have managed what used to be a monopoly on the market. I would have killed for some fanatec stuff back then, when Logitech/thrustmaster were basically the only other options. You couldn’t find Fanatec gear though. And they’ve never really got it together since. I assume they had a huge revenue spike that year and instead of foreseeing the competition and over saturated market in the future, they essentially created a whole industry of competitors. It was all due to horrible mismanagement and basically supply issues. If they keep it up the company will not survive.
I think this is unfair tbh. You can’t use your moza in your bmw. They are aiming for market of people that go for track days. They see such people drop 100 k on a bmw or 3k on an after market body kit and think we offer more to these people than the body kit and they will pay up for that so they will pay up for this. The people in this hobby have disposable income and if they can’t afford, we’ll tough this is a great luxury. It is a privilege to own a dd wheel not a right. Fanatec obviously see themselves as the apple of the industry and I would agree with that. I would pay more to buy fana version over Logitech after using bother brands just as I would to get iOS over android on my mobile devices.
i'm honestly not sure if you're replying to me or not but if you are you may have missed the point of my comment. And on what you just said, I've personally been sim racing for over 10 years now and I've never had a disposable income or a 100k BMW. But I have had many Fanatec products so I'm not sure that those are one in the same. Sounds like we totally have a different view on this and I'm good to just agree to disagree lol. Happy racing bud! @@jackgolding427
That's also a very small percentage of the market. If you've got that income to blow on a car for track days to that degree then you're probably out driving on real tracks and not sim racing. I really wouldn't say it's a privilege, DD wheels are becoming the standard these days and can be had at a fair price. Of course there's nothing stopping you from going with Fanatec, but should you order from them there's no guarantee you're getting what you ordered, as I'm one of the many without my order 3 months later. Or, also in my case, you return a $200 wheel to be fixed and they refund you a quarter of it's value and don't even tell you.@@jackgolding427
Thank you for making this video. It’s about time someone acknowledges this. Some of the big RUclipsrs haven’t talked about this at all. They are more concerned about their relationship with the company. I waited three months to receive my shifter and handbrake. There was no communication at all from Fanatec. I think your comment about Fanatec’s influence is spot on. I find it funny that the new Logitech G Pro wheel was nerfed in GT7. They limited the force feedback for “Safety reasons”. 😂 I will never purchase another Fanatec product. Look at Facebook group posts. The amount of negative posts is INSANE. Again, thank you for bringing attention to this.
I bought both DD wheels and selling the scamnatech soon. I've also read online about the Logitech G Pro racing wheel getting nerfed in GT7 and wonder in what update they did it. Do you know?
You are right about the "Influencers", especially the ones that get free Fanatec products for making reviews and don't have to return them to Fanatec. Those will not speak bad about Fanatec.
I tell you what if I got all that free stuff from a company to I wouldn’t speak badly of them here. Especially if they were paying me a well! I much prefer Ferrari to mclaren but if mclaren want to start sending a bunch of free stuff I would never be able to afford normally. I would use it all and create content on how they are the best on market if they want to me. Even if I didn’t think this was the case
@@tenbob1973 what part of getting paid to promote an item on RUclips is to do with integrity. Nearly every RUclipsr promotes stuff for cash incentives. It’s not like it’s just sim racing RUclipsrs. IMHO it’s more ethical to be paid this way than accepted twice donations and patreons which will at least some of the time be kids signing up to stuff their parents aren’t aware of.
They clearly messed up... They are still strongly supported by GT7 influencers and community, but people can SEE 👀 They get a lot of money, so they should care about their customers service!
I feel like I'm on the opposite end of this. I've had nothing but great products, shipped on time with excellent communication. I've never had an issue with a single Fanatec product and I've ordered / bought quite a bit. Starting with csl dd with boost kit and v3 pedals. Multiple rims and Qr1 attachments. I then gave the old v3's to a friend, sold the csl dd via ebay and bought a DD1, qr2, podium modual, new v3's and new wheel. I used the old setup for roughly 16 months and I'm about 12 months in on the new DD1 stuff. Zero complaints. I'm on PC. Just wanted to give a different perspective. I've read a lot of complaints here but wanted to share my experience. Maybe I missed the crap show starting around Black Friday / Cyber Monday.
I am about to upgrade my equipment and was going to go with Fanatec but after watching this, I will find another brand. Thanks for your honest video. 😊
Another happy Moza owner here. The Fanatec wheelbase/wheel/quick release system was too complicated for me to jump in on the Fanatec black friday deals, so I grabbed a 2nd hand Moza bundle. It has been great! The KS wheel is amazing. I'm using Fanatec pedals with it, and I've been happy with them so far.
I had an awful experience at Black Friday, It took a month to deliver my pedals with no tracking info for most of it, when I ordered they said 10 days or something. All emails ignored, this is a happy ending most or not so lucky, hope they don’t break.
Same, I ordered a Gt dd pro the 20th of December, now it’s the 11th of January and still no infos about my order, I sent them an Email but obviously no answer
I got nothing delivered from them and they just totally ghosted me. I opened a Paypal claim and they haven't even responded to that. Tomorrow Paypal will refund me the money.
The responses to this video are, honestly, overwhelming and I feel bad so many people have been let down It seems this is a much bigger issue that even I thought - you can rest assured Fanatec will see this and I would be very surprised if we don't see some communications addressing the issues in a more straightforward way That said I've been surprised before...
These guys are finished. If you breach integrity like this, there's no coming back-inexcusable lapses in communication point to a lack of care, in addition to incompetence. I would advise those left hanging to contact EU-based consumer advocates. They are usually only too glad to help in cases like this.
It’s bad for Fanatec that they had so many people trying to get a good deal that soon their standard prices may become the BF price if they wish keep doing business.
wonder how many orders were taken and how much they are playing catchup. could be 100x fold.. Personally my stuff turned up pretty fast with no issues. only the bad gets posted on social media not all the good.
Your right, they should do the same as GT Omega...... show "No Stock" and "notify me when available". Stop taking orders and money from people on items you can't deliver!
@@mcsimracing7308 just because you can order it doesnt mean they have the stock. Sorry new warehouse operation or even moving to a new warehouse doesnt excuse 2-3 month waits when they take the full payment upfront. Its inexcusable and immoral to do so.
@mcsimracing7308 I wouldn't say that when you have multiple reports of the same things happening to others. Do enlighten us how the op is supposed to get that info? If it takes weeks or more to answer service requests or updates on orders, they won't be in a rush to answer these things. Fanatic could have made things right or released info but chose not too. When ordering something that takes my money immediately, I don't expect it to take weeks plus to fulfill my order unless it's a custom job or product. If this was an isolated issue it would be one thing. CLEARLY it's not. There are tons of posts and videos out there, even by ones who love fanatic, stating the same things. I certainly expect better service and communication, especially with something as expensive as the fanatic products.
@@mcsimracing7308 but its far too many and these response times are inexcusable. I get it you are a fanboy. But why defend this nonsense just because you were lucky enough to have a decent experience? thats absurd. Take off those rose colored glasses and see whats going on.
My first Fanatec product was a GT DD Pro. The wheelbase came defective out of the box. Rather than having the wheelbase replaced, they wanted me to send it back to have it repaired and it will take at least 3 -4 weeks. After much back and forth they agreed to have it replaced. Later I bought the CSL Elite V2 pedals and within a few days the loadcell all of a sudden stopped working. They again wanted me to resend it back for repair. Not only do they don't care about the customer their QA is bad as well. Not buying Fanatec again.
I have the same pedals since last April and can't complain. Though when deciding a DD upgrade, I chose Moza. The outcry of people put me off and I don't like their wheel lineup nor the vastly over hyped and over expensive qr2 upgrades for wheels and bases. And the bases are massive. The R12 is tiny compared to it and I like that. I have yet to start up my new purchase because my PC has cooling issues with repair in progress. Hoping for the best with both things
Sometimes i think they knowingly and purposfully send out defective units because it delays the whole process like in a pyramid scheme and gives them more time.
It’s good that this issue is finally being addressed. Would have been better a month ago or more when I made my videos about my issues with fanatec and waiting 22 days before I even got an email about my order.
I have to say I am really disappointed here with Fanatec. I was making the upgrade to finally going with a DD setup, and I was very excited to finally pull the trigger at Black Friday. I purchased an entire setup, including DD Pro, 2 ClubSport level wheels, CSL Elite V2 pedals, and had also ordered QR2 for the whole setup. It was not an inexpensive purchase. I found out one of the wheels I had ordered was oversold and no longer available, and I could either wait until late March for it to be available, or cancel my order and they would give me a discount voucher to reorder with a different wheel instead. They wouldn't swap the wheel in the existing order or ship the partial order. I asked to have it cancelled and I would re-order with the provided code, but I have gone weeks now with no response. I am sitting here frustrated as someone who was excited for their products, to now wondering if I will actually re-order with them at all... Its a sad state of customer service by them...
Same situation with me. I dont even want Xbox support so if they offered to just swap the wheel to a regular v2.5 instead I would have been happy. But no, instead they just ignored all forms of contact. Thank god I paid with paypal. My claim should go though tomorrow and I'll get my money back. Screw fanatec.
@@The_MupYup, I had offered the same thing - I play on PS5 so I actually preferred the V2.5 instead anyways. Now I have to seriously think about going down that route with them anymore. Simagic are working on their PS5 compatibility, and same with Moza - too many other options becoming available. Fanatec need to give their heads a shake...!
Same here still waiting for my items to arrive, ordered on December 20th, however I see a note that says the p1v2 wheel will be available on Feb 6th, so gonna wait for that time if they don't ship I will cancel, thank God I paid with paypal
I had seriously considered their CSL setup. Glad I didn't pull the trigger, because I'd probably still not be playing. Decided to get a more budget setup just to get myself back in the game and will likely look at Moza when I have the funds to do a DD setup.
I got a Logitech G920. Basic but works decently well. Good enough for me for now, as I've never driven a DD setup and am going to keep it that way until I can afford one, because I don't want to be disappointed in my own setup, haha. I apply the same rule with cars unless it's a chance at something really cool and well out of my budget range.
@@bp4861 Don't talk about things you don't understand and don't misinform people... I own a Thrustmaster T300 which I used before I purchased the CSL DD from Fanatec... yes, Thrustmaster is good FOR A BELT DRIVEN WHEEL... but compared to a Direct Drive wheel it's actually dogshit... the first day I plugged in the CSL DD and held the wheel on ACC my eyes went wide because I couldn't believe how HUGE the differnce was... it's HUGE... And nowadays buying a belt driven wheel even at 200$ when you can buy a Direct Drive WITH PEDALS for 400$ (CSL DD 5Nm bundle) is a very very bad purchase...
I was also about to pull a trigger on a CSL DD last year but after seeing the reviews and customer service, I decided not to and purchased a moza r5 instead. Been great so far
Its shocking they acknowledge they have major shipping issues due to new European warehousing which is causing carnage for customers, yet in the middle of the carnage of their own making they launch a black Friday event lasting a whole week compounding their logistics issues and also launch a new flagship clubsport product at the same time, which they can't even get out the door. They emailed saying the dd+ due to delays cant make the pre-order date and will be shipped before end of the year, still no shipment, then they say they now have the product but they can't release it because its not licensed yet by Sony!! Their customer services team are on their knees. The silence from Fanatec is deafening!
Ordered on 11/24 during Black Friday. 1500 worth of gear. Wasn't supposed to get delivered till 12/27 due to qr2 and two days later they send out a mass email stating I could wait till the end of March to get my order due to overselling of the podium dd1 or cancel and get a 25 percent voucher for other products I don't want and or are not in stock. Sent at least a dozen emails, cancelled the order from the email link a half dozen times, messaged employees on Reddit, Facebook, Instagram never a response. As soon as my bank refunds my money in a few days taking my money over to simagic. Outright thieves.
I ordered the ready 2 race bundle back in October and I heard nothing for 5 days then out of nowhere Fanatec just canceled my order. I'm glad they did. Bought an Asetek instead and couldn't be happier!
in 2021 i bought my DD1 with the V3 pedals. i never had any problem with it and are still using it to this day. 1 time in 2022 for whatever reason a switch broke on the formula wheel and it disabled half the wheels buttons and switches. after 1 phone call with fanatec customer support they told me to send it in and i got a replacement about 1 week later. i cant really tell if it deteriorated after that but i for myself never had any problem with their customer support.
I own a Fanatec DD2 and two wheels, never a problem. I owned the V3 pedals as well, when I upgraded to VRS pedals I gave the V3's to a friend who still uses them and never an issue.
I just upgraded my t300 to MOZA R16 with the ES and KS wheel. I waited 2 days for delivery. I’m so happy with my new gear. Not only does it all look and feel very high quality. It all performs amazing as well. Not to mention the quick release is just top notch. Couldn’t recommend MOZA enough. I hope you enjoy what ever you end up going for 👍🏻
I've been waiting for my order (my complete order) since October. Never arrived. Finally today I sold all the Fanatec items that I received (CSL DD never arrived). I moved to Moza. I will say that Moza quality is way better than Fanatec. Wheel feels much better, cheaper and works seamesly. Fanatec will end soon as this situation is not easy to recover. RIP Fanatec.
What I hate about this situation is when they default to saying that their logistics company has changed and they are trying to figure it out…. The logistics is supposed to be the backbone that is on top of knowing what is going on in all aspects. I am currently waiting on a 2nd order made through them during BF that I received a response to, finally; that stated they were halting all deliveries for the first week of January until they could take stock of products and figure out what they could fulfill
Logistics is a nightmare, that's why most smart product based companies pre hire 1 or more logistics companies just in case something goes horribly wrong.
If you watching this watching this video on or after 6/15/24 then some this doesn't apply anymore. They do not have supply issues,, nor shipping issues now. I have ordered over $67,000 worth of equipment and have gotten everything within 4 days of ordering. Now Fanatec still has legal issues and problems with the Board still. But that is just about any business now days. Fanatec STILL makes awesome equipment IF it suits your sim driving needs or wants. Just like with any software you need to check for compatibility with what you want to do. It's not Fanatec's fault that their wheel base or steering wheel doesn't work with one obscure game you want to play. They have to make products that appeal and work with the top brands selling. It's simple business. In my opinion NO COMPANY should cater to just one person. Business killer!
I have a Formula V2 wheel and the button caps cracked in less than 6 months. Now, I just use the wheel with no button caps as half of them are broken. The APM paddles intermittently stop working, and I just have to wait for them to start working again before doing any competitive online races. The Alcantara on the wheel has worn out and there is a huge spot on the right wheel handle that is just bare plastic. I use the wheel for all the racing that I do and I wear gloves every time I race. So the fact that the Alcantara hasn't lasted 2 years is crazy. I emailed them about how I can go about repairing the wheel handle, but no one has contacted me back. I will have to go with a 3rd party repair/replacement company to fix it. I understand that these aren't huge issues, but for the wheel and APM's, it cost me like $700+ but it doesn't feel like a $700 wheel. Now, I wish I would have gone with a different company, but changing my entire setup will cost me an amount of money that I am not willing to spend at the moment.
Next you can try the asetek la premia bundle of the moza R3, R5, or R9 bundle which should be in the same budget range. To get to the « real thing », rather look for a still quite affordable for the quality Simagic bundle, or even a Simcube bundle if you have way too much money you need to get ride off 😅
I was a huge Fanatec fanboy but after quality issues I switched to Moza and haven't looked back since, if Moza starts making products for consoles they'll leave Fanatec behind
Same, I went with Moza because Fanatec don't even ship to my country. I definitely dodged a bullet there. Moza is excellent with PC sims after dialing in settings and then I use the Ras1ution2 adapter for GT7. Hasn't skipped a beat for the 1 year I've had it.
@@WrittlesCave yes works fully with GT7, compatible with every moza base and of course many other brands and their models. There should be a compatability list on their website.
I bought a Logi G Pro as insurance lest my DD Pro failed. If Logi expand their ecosystem, on top of Moza's emergence ... They already have PC and console covered.
This has been the mantra of this company for over a decade and is absolutely nothing new. The amount of complaint threads on the iRacing forum was so bad back then that even Tomas himself was in the threads to answer.
Oooooo I remember those threads. I told Thomas to pound sand after the V3 pedal fiasco. They were useless after a week cause of the stupid foam they used in the brake. Those never should have been released in the state they were. All but one piece of my original gear has failed in one form or another. Somehow, my shifter is the only piece that hasn't out of those 5. Also coverted two other wheels for my current direct drive and modified the paddles that usually crap out.
If businesses can’t supply a product or service that a consumer has paid for, on time or within a reasonable time, then the business must provide a solution. If a consumer doesn't receive a product or service they've paid for on time or within a reasonable time, there can be various reasons. It doesn’t necessarily mean the business has broken the law. It's against the law for businesses to take payment for products or services when they know they won’t be able to supply them.
I ordered my McLaren wheel and base about 2 months ago. I love the product, but it did take about a month to get to me and I felt like I was in the dark the entire time until my items showed up at my door.
I waited several weeks without any tracking but I pay with credit card to always protect myself in case ….. took around 3 weeks or so to eventually get my wheel , base , pedals. Shifter was ordered a week later and got here same time . Crappy tracking but all that was bought was as is , good product . Just poor communication and tracking …. I cannot make a claim of them being out of stock , that would need more evidence. Subpar customer service and shipping . Good product . That’s it
I also got a Logitech G Pro last year and I couldn't be happier with it. I went with Logitech because they have a reputation for great product, and I had great success the G29 and G923 before finally making the investment in a direct drive wheel. I don't think anyone can go wrong with the G Pro.
My formula rim v2.5 had its shift and flag lights suddenly stop working and it’s been 3 months since I put in a ticket. I can’t find anyone else online who has had or fixed this problem.
@TheOfficialOriginalChad you're right... instead of me spending $1,000 on a high quality steering wheel system that I can enjoy without any issues everyday... I should instead have spent $3,500 on a steering wheel system that never actually arrives at my house. 🙄😆
@@SeanyMacks you have been quite uninformed. I sure hope you’re lying intentionally, because if you’re not then you got tricked into thinking the Logitech is cheaper.
@@SeanyMacksI’m guessing you just found out the CSL DD is $400, Moza R9 is $450, and Simmagic Alpha is $550 (rather than the $3500 you thought) so you decided to change to subject lol
Yes, new to the sim racing community. It took less than 1 hour of research to realize I would NEVER give my $$$$ to them. Order a Logitech Pro wheel + Logitech Trophy seat and got it at my door in 3 days! Super happy with Logitech
I thought that a Fanatec would be the next one for me so I'm glad to have seen this video. I already saw/headed some signals but didn't know the problems where so extensive. So thanks you the heads-up 👍
You're lucky. These criminals stole my $1,100. Delivered me a known faulty product. Will not respond to my emails. They should all go to jail. If their business was in the US I would visit them and physically take back my $1,100 dollars from them.
Fanatec has had QC problem also back in the days tbh, I know like 10 people with the csl elite and 8 of them had problems with it. But tbh there's not a single wheel on the market that has 0 problems
Kireth, you're literally the only GT7 content creator making investigative journalism videos. This is some of your best work. Certain content creators need to take a long, hard look at themselves. Are they just trying to gain subs, likes, and money from their affiliate links. Or are they really there for the sim racing community? Keep up the good work, bro! Much respect!
sadly most youtubers, regardless of hobby, are nothing more than informercials anymore. Its sad that its hard to get accurate good info because you dont know if they have an nda or not. Many do not have the character to all out bad aspects of something or the principles not to agree to nda's where they cant point out flaws or shortcomings.
I wouldn't exactly call this investigative. It's 10 minutes of reading off comments complaining about shipping dates. It's not even really a story, it comes across as just dramatizing backorders.
Personally I'd avoid Fanatec. I'll be selling all my Fanatec gear this year and moving over to Asetek. There's a reason Fanatec have lost 50% of their share price over the last year, they couldn't give a damn about their customers.
I have had Fanatec products since the Turbo S wheel in 2009. Back then, the wheel was delayed, but I have emails from Thomas back then explaining the delays and keeping in touch. It was a new and much smaller company back then. Since then I have done progressive upgrades like Clubsport V1 to Clubsport V3 inverted pedals, Turbo S to CSW V2.5 to DD2, the old plastic shifter to the Clubsport V1 shifter, and the Clubsport handbrake. Honestly, most of the product was pretty durable and lasted a long time, in my opinion. Back in the Turbo S days, that wheel was an enormous step up from the gear drive Logitechs and the CSW was another huge upgrade. Now today in the 2024 sim racing space, Fanatec has definitely fallen behind. I still think their Podium DD wheels are pretty good, but competition is stiff. Their pedals are fairly good, but I know the higher end products are definitely better, although much more expensive. I haven't tried any other better shifters, but I'm sure some of the high end stuff is good too. A hydraulic handbrake would definitely be a huge upgrade to Fanatec's. I can confirm in my whole history of Fanatec, shipping is long and arduous. It was also mind boggling to see an email saying they will only ship everything at once, and them my order of 4 to 5 components all arrive on different days piece by piece. I too have a Black Friday order (replacing my 9 year old V1 shifter, and QR2 equipment), but it's in limbo. I received an email a while back saying it was delayed to Jan 14 shipping, so who knows. Honestly, depending on the quality of the QR2 (I hate the QR1, it rattles and pings), I could end up seeing what other options are out there. Part of sticking with Fanatec was due to compatibility, but I haven't bought a console since PS4 and I've been PC exclusive, so I don't see much point to worrying about same-brand compatibility anymore. #TL;DR: Fanatec has decent products, but they do have a failure rate, their shipping is awful and long, their customer service needs substantial improvement, and there is a lot of competition they should worry about. Even a long time customer (me) may very well jump ship sooner than later.
Bought my 8nm DD Pro Sport w the Load Cell kit week one of its launch. It arrived within a week. I can't imagine having to wait for shipment unannounced for months then not having my emails promptly responded to, if at all. This is totally unacceptable and a major show of no accountability on the part of Fanatec. And now when you finally receive your order it might not all be there at the same time or you might be subject to poor overall quality. This is shocking to me considering my experience with Fanatec.
I received all of my BF items... Later than expected but I got them and I'm generally happy with them. Three separate orders from a few days apart were delivered several weeks apart...lol. This is my first Fanatec experience as I'm just getting into sim racing with wheels. But.... This company is messed up ethically like I've never seen before. You can't announce and sell a product that doesn't exist yet, collect money and tell people we'll send it to you when we can. Holy sh*t! Their cryptic and lack of communication is astonishing in the 2020s. Their lawyers must be really shady. If they were a US based company, the government would be stepping in and the owner would likely be charged with fraud.
Wrong. Look, I hate Fanatec for ripping me off. But Tesla has been taking people's money for a long time without delivering on their promises. Where's the $40k cybertruck they took deposits on? oh it's $100k. Where's the "Full self driving" they have been selling for upwards of $10k plus? Never delivered.
I remember being very close to buying some Fanatec gear back in 2020 during the lockdown sim racing craze. They had notices on their website describing their supply issues which I think was understandable then. But to hear that this is still a problem in 2024 is just wild.
Glad I got lucky last Feb, ordered DDPro without issue. Although thinking back, I did have a standoff missing to mount the peddles. Contacted their support and had one sent to me within a week. I used some tv mount standoffs while I waited, so it didn't stop me enjoying the equipment.
I dont think Fanatec was expecting the DD market to grow as fast as it has the last few years as when they was making belt drive wheels they was on top of the world for sim racing but the transition to DD has not been so kind and now we have brands like Moza & Cammus giving them a very good run for the money on the lower end has not helped them and it shows.
don't give them the benefit of doubt. first of all, they did a big BF sale all while they had an EXISTING BACKLOG. they then proceeded to mark their products as "available" and "ready to ship" and posted their 3-7 days shipping time. not to mention the sale went day by day, which means they were selling products continuously while knowing that they were out of stock. THEN they proceed to mark your order as "shipped" in order to disable the cancel order function. now your only choice is to wait or cancel through a forced chargeback through your bank or paypal. do you know who functions this way? dropshippers on ebay. not fucking companies
I feel compelled to say ive had no issues with my csl dd, v2 pedals, or my wheel. Shopping was fast for me also. I purchased everything back in November. Sucks that everyone else has had so many problems
I also bought a suite of things in November and everything came fine. It wasn’t until after I got into sim racing a bit more that I saw all this bad press and negative experiences.
Fortunately, I have had two CSL Elites(recently went to PS4/5 because of the death of Forza), with flawless operation. Unfortunately, I own the Clubsport shifter, Clubsport Handbrake and CSL Elite Pedals, all with issues. The shifter has to be disassembled frequently to rectify misshifts. The Handbrake failed due to a bolt within shearing, rendering it useless(fixed using random at home hardware). The CSL Elite Pedals are great except for a crack that developed near the throttle pedal which allows the pedal to articulate up that much higher, making Heal Toe difficult. I do use my gear often, but never do I beat on it. The wheel base is the only thing I've purchased used. Everything else has been purchased new, deemed defective, and reported within months. To which Fanatec gave run arounds for resolution before opting to send it in and have it repaired. Unfortunate when the shipping / wait time is measured in eons. Fanatec will not be who I upgrade with in the future.
My first sim setup began with gt did pro for ps5 bc of PS marketing fanatec so prominently on their website. My only issue is getting a hold of support since I purchased 30$ button caps a day before they added them to the BF sale and fanatec has yet to respond for a price adjustment. Otherwise I have no issues with the products themself. Going forward if I ever switch to a pc and need to replace my fanatec gear, I will happily switch to another brand like simagic, simucube, or asetek. Seeing such poor customer support (towards their customers as a whole) from a major brand is unacceptable. If I fully move to pc, I will most likely sell my fanatec gear regardless to avoid having to deal with them again.
There ae very few who had good experience with any company going around saying how good it is. They are using their products and don't care about the rest. So if 1 out of 100 complains those numbers wont matter
The demise of Fanatec is genuinely disappointing. They've been top of my wish-list essentially since the launch of GT7 - fair enough, I'm probably 8-12 months from pulling the trigger, but as it stands, I'm leaning to Logitec!
I'm selling a Fanatec GT DD pro. Interested? I'll be honest unlike Fanatec. IT DOES NOT WORK!.....I'll still sell it to you, but I just wanted to be honest.
Hello. A fellow sim racer here using PC platform. I ordered CSL DD bundle + clutch kit, table clamp, QR1 on 09.10.2023 and I received my order on 16.10.2023. Everything works as it should and the only problems I have encountered are due with updating the firmware on the wheel base. But after a few tries I managed to do it myself without involving support. I experienced problems when contacting support to clarify a minor question about my support and it took almost a month to get a response. With the amount of orders and interest they are getting it makes complete sense to me why it took so long and I don't have a problem with that. I think that Fanatec has created a great ecosystem and I hope that they take the best out of this mess and continue on improving.
thank god I read comments sometimes...I''ve been looking for an GTP wheel with the correct rotaries etc for god knows how long. Never heard about Zen's...THANK YOU!
Here's my story -> I ordered during the Black Friday deals, on November 25 (USA web site), everything was IN STOCK. So, after we received this famous email telling us of the overselling situation during the Black Friday for the V2.5X and asking us to wait (at worst) until end of March or cancel and get a 25% off, because they don't ship partial shipment. Later on mid/end December you could order it right away, no pre-order ? How can the web site be updated while no communication has been sent to us about this what looks like a new status for all of us been touch by this situation ? My last missing piece was / is, the Type-C adaptor, from stock to BO for December 12 and been pushed back like 3 times to now Dec. 29. This is still showing this in my order. This is my first order with them and did not cancel it for the 25% voucher. (I took another risk) My order is still at the same state when I did the order. Much drama and still pretty bad communication. This is mind-blowing IMO. I'm not the only one, we are a brunch in the same situation, just look at the forum.
There should be some serious repercussions for the way they've handled this. Took my money in early November, order stuck as "on the way" since the 22nd of the same month, and then static... No reply to an email after 6 weeks. No phoneline to talk to someone direct. Nothing. They've basically robbed me, and many others. Genuinely considering reporting them to Trading Standards in my country, I just hope others do too. Companies in general shouldn't be allowed to treat customers like this, never mind ones as big as Fanatec. Customer service is how companies stay on top, and when they're throwing money at advertisement while they can't even keep their phonelines open, it's like a spit in the face.
I personally don't have a problem with their products, but lately the customer service and shipping times are out of this world bad. I am very close to sell all my Fanatec equipment and go for a different eco system.
Are you un USA? About to pull the trigger on a ClubSport Pedals V3 but I`m afraid of shipping issues. I see most people having issues are from Europe but not many comments from USA.
I had the same problem. Both my orders were showing as dispatched but after 4 weeks my order hadn’t been delivered so I sent several emails but fanatec they never responded. I now have my goods and still no email from Fanatec.
I was actually away to order a CSL DD bundle, but now I know I probably won't. I might just go with Moza, however I'm also not all for it because their delivery fees to the UK are just massive, and for that reason I was actually wanting to go with Fanatec in the first place. Now I guess I just have to sit tight and see how this all unfolds? Or pay 150 GBP for delivery from Moza....
although this is a late reply, if you haven't already bought it, may i suggest purchasing through a retailer called abruzzi. I live in the uk and bought my moza gear through them with zero import duty and maybe a 20 pound delivery fee
Fanatec needs to offer way lower prices. They have competition and charging $1000 for a freaking sim wheel is just stupid. If you gave me that BMW half wheel I would sell it and by a whole new hardware brand with a wheel and maybe even afford pedals.
@@strangerdanger1012 big difference between a product being delayed or unfinished due to unforeseen circumstances or a shortage in materials than outright selling a product knowing that you don’t have the rights to even use it secured yet.
Ordered CS DD and F1 2023 wheel because I thought the wheel would include the new QR2 so I didn't have to wait. Only after check-out did they mention that comes 'separately' so I had to wait for them to restock in mid December. Waited to mid-December and they relayed the QR2 to late Dec then again to January. By this point, I was fed up so I initiated a refund. No response for 4 business days. By the fifth day, I initiated a dispute with my bank, then Fanatec immediately refunded my money. Seems like a fraudulent practice because they have no right to take someone's money for this long. They have no right to sell a product marked as "available" and then after the buyer pays, tell the buyer it was actually out of stock and need to wait for two months.
thanks bro ! ;) Finnaly I dont feel alone anymore on this one ! :)) the idea they have is amazing.. its just that there is something really wrong with their customer service.. IO wanted to return both bases I have, I couldnt due to the time limit, which was exceed while bases was travelling back and forth to fix them.. I think its granturismo thats causing some sort of software issues... Even when bases are made for playstation,so idk.. ! :D atm im using csl elite with mclaren wheel, but my dd pro is in the corner boxed in from the repairs... after 2 fails in less then half an hours both times, im not risking it anymore, not on playstation at least.. its a German company- which should be the same as saying ,,heavy duty quality'' ! probably that how it was and thats surely how I seen them, but I think thats not the case anymore/./ And I was a HUGE fan of them, Fanatec stickers even on my bike ! :D All the cars in the games with fanatec stickers as welll.. but recently I feel like I should take them off..not doing it yet, but ...time will show. Im not even mentioning damn ups or other clowns they are using as couriers.. Everytime I had RMA I had to take day off, for sending out and receiving the item, which sometimes was taking 3-4 times due to incompetence of the drivers.. and fanatec , they just offer to sort it out on your own, like its not them who chosen this type of service where can pick up time slots properly.. wasted hundreds just to send items for repair and then pick them up... In total I had arround 6-7 different RMA's with 2 bases. And all that was while the items was new, once its out of repairs sevice couple of times, it becomes good :D
Every time I try to complete an order with Fanatec it would never go thru. Tried for 2 weeks before ending up and going with Thrustmaster and now that I want to move to direct drive I'm going Moza or simagic.
I am very pleased, went from g923 so is my first DD steering wheel, and the pedals with load cell were incredibly much better. Expect there will be accessory eventually
@@berserk1521 I’m just worried that it didn’t and won’t sell enough, for Logitech to actually make accessories. There’s an advert for internet on tv called plus net or something and the slogan is “that will Do” and I think that’s Logitech motto. I mean if they sell lots then maybe buy if they haven’t sold well, how can we expect anything in future? Maybe Fanatec downfall will make lots of console players to to Logitech. I hope so.
@@grahamkelly8662The Logitech unit was the first one that I had used and its not as smooth as a Direct Drive system, its fantastic for the casual player like myself. Plus Logitech has great customer service
I am waiting since Black Friday for 3 QR2s, I wrote a Ticket, no response still. It seems they don't care about customers anymore. They took the money instantaniously, but do not deliver. I think we should think about combined legal actions...
Ordered a R2R DD 5nm bundle before BF….after being delayed nearly 30 days, cancelled the order and went to a local MicroCenter and picked up a Moza R5 bundle and had it set up within an hour. Happy that I am not in the Fanatec ecosystem especially with their current product delivery problems
I got my first DD wheel in November last year was going to go Fanatec but all the negativity online I was reading and seeing videos of that in the end I decided to get the Logitech G Pro Wheel instead.
If any one lives In the states and you have a micro center around you go there buy your equipment with there warranty for two years and you should be good just walk in trade it and bam done
@@bigredracingteam9642sure is bro it’s quite a ways from me maybe an hour half drive for me but we’ll worth it don’t have the hassle of no answer ect at least for dd equipment and pedals
Man this is really disappointing, 2024 was going to be the year for me to finally switch over to GT DD Pro wheel for Grand Turismo. But it doesn't look like I'll be able to get one anytime soon 🙁
Thank you for making this video. I have heard the rumors but was still willing to take a chance on Fanatec. But thanks to the more specific info you provide, I am running, not walking, away from Fanatec and looking at others that can provide a DD system for PS5. To think I was planning to drop over $1K USD on Fanatec as early as this weekend. Hell no, know.
I paid for a CSL DD bundle yesterday. I’ll return and update to share the good or the bad. I priced out an equivalent Moza setup and it was hundreds of dollars more expensive for the R9 vs 8nm CSL DD. *edit #1* - three days after ordering I have a tracking number *edit #2* - five days after ordering the carrier has my packages; Fanatec's job is done, now it's on FedEx *edit #3* - product arrived one week after purchase, well packaged and fully functional (needed firmware updates though) To contrast I ordered a Moza table clamp from their site and the order was still processing when I had my hands on my Fanatec gear. Fortunately I found the clamp for sale as an open box item from a local Micro Center. Moza was at least responsive via email and cancelled my order promptly.
Same here, ordered two days ago. Seems they shut down for a week after the new year, to catch up on processing orders. The order page seems to have a status update on it now. Mine says it has been processed and is in "Handover to warehouse". I'm hoping there won't be any issues with my order since everything was labelled as in stock and ready to ship. Got CSL DD 8nm, CSL Elite V2 pedals, shifter, and a club sport wheel. Hopefully they are caught up on the shipments🤞 And yes, same for me. With the fanatec discounts (-150$ on the cslDD) it came out much cheaper than anything else I shopped (moza, alpha mini, etc)
@@keeno86 yeah same here… before I pulled the trigger it said right up front that the order wouldn’t be processed until til the 11th. Yesterday the order status changed to “handover to warehouse.”
Bought my fanatec shifter and it had calibration isues was trying to contact tech support for 2 months never had any reactions now 6 months later still no reaction., im lucky my background is technical so i fixed the problem my self.
Great respect for telling the truth about Fanatec. I thought the German? company could do better? After reading the articles about Logitech G Pro made decision to order one, after one day got tracking number and after 6 days (one day early as promised) got two beautiful boxes. Trust Logi as g27 owner for 14 years with only one repair of calibration wheel ( made it myself - zero money) and changed brake spring). So now Fanatech has many companies with DD products, interesting to see what happens.
I just spent over $4k on new gear and I really wanted Fanatec but their QR and quality control is just so bad. It's without a doubt the worst in the industry. Doesn't take more then a minute or two to find warranty cases from bad QA. Black Friday sales are just the icing on the cake. Great gear is you get it and it's built correctly but why take the gamble when so many other options exist!
Gunna share my story of the 3 DD1s I've had die on my since 2019. Definitely shows drop in quality control. TLDR; 1st DD1 lasted 2yrs, 2nd lasted 1.5yrs, 3rd lasted 21 days. Got my first DD1 in 2019, it lasted until April 2022. They replaced it under warranty, cool. Was quick and easy and the support team were useful. The replacement worked up until November 2023, again under warranty I could get a free replacement. Lasting about a year and a half, with little usage compared to the previous base I recieved which does make me think QC is dropping. Then the replacement came before xmas, I was happy that they sent out an RMA replacement so quickly. As it was about a week from sending off my broken unit for the replacement. So this third unit, I received on the 21st of December. On the 6th I had a PDD Quick Release Error (all the previous units had this) but I was able to fix it by switching out USB ports which was a first as all the previous ones died at that point. Turned in on to drive some stuff on the 11th January and it was completely dead. Tried all the potential fixes and none of it worked meaning it lasted just 21 days. So I'm sat here for the third time since 2019 with a non-functioning product. They haven't even activated the Serial Code for me to register the base so I can file the support ticket in the correct place. Emailed that evening and still no reply. I used to really like Fanatec's stuff, I could go from my old belt CSL elite to a DD wheel without having to spend thousands on rims to go with a new system, the rims themselves are nice and I do really like using them. Just the quality control has gone downhill massively and I'm now looking to switch to a completely different system.
Ordered the Formula Clubsport V2.5x on the 25th of Nov.. Was told would have to wait till the end of Jan or the middle of March before i'd get it despite it saying it was in stock. Have applied twice now for a full refund and still nothing so now have gone through paypal for a full refund which i will still have to possibly wait till the 25th of Jan. Two months which is absolutely ridiculous. Don't get me wrong i do like their products but customer support is ZERO. What i can't understand is can they not employ more people to help get through the backlog of e mails or get in more machinery to help make the products faster either way thank you for this video and i hope they do see it and see the responses in the comments.
sucks to hear all of this about a company that has worked really hard to get where their are. perhaps they are over extended by their commitments to sponsors and shareholders. could be staffing and leadership issues across all levels. Maybe supply chain problems. who's knows! and that's the first step to fixing these issues is to be transparent and communicate to your customers that there are problems and you want to fix them. if they folded, what brand or company would pick them up? switch the roles of that question....What brand would Fanatec buy if said brand became available?
I’ve had my fanatec dd for gt7 since about June 2023. And I haven’t had any problems with shipping or product. I got the bundle with the extra pedal and shifter. Arrived in about a week and a half.
I went full-in on the Fanatec ecosystem in November 2021 when the CSL DD was a hot item. I bought the 8mn version, a wheel, pedals, shifter, and handbrake. I didn't actually receive everything until march of the following year...4 months later. I figured it was because the CSL DD was the new hotness, but looks like that was pretty much the norm for Fanatec. I love the products I got though (upgraded from a G920) to this day.
Their instagram page, every post is full of complains of people with 1-2 months order and still don't get their product. And even on discounts. They make their customers pay the price for a product that's on sale ... sell you the solution for the problem they cause, is plain anti-customer.
in the UK, do a bank refund if they don't refund under 30 days.... in the UK you can buy something online, use it for 13 days and then send it back for full refund
as a happy logitech user, having bought the driving force pro, DFGT, and the g923.... never had a single problem with any of them. and when they ship with a defect, i get it returned and a new one shipped within 2 weeks.
I woukd direct everyones attentjon to endor press release section. Nov 30 2023, in landshut and i quote: ...licensing later than plannedled to delaysin productjonand product launches. However, the corresponding licenses have now been successfully concluded..." This confuses me how then i got an email in january 2024 they still didnt have the license???
Fwiw I’ve enjoyed my CSL-DD. Been using bootleg ebay boost kit for a year. Their proprietary one is a complete ripoff. Their previous pedal set needs quite a lot of mods to be decent. I’m sure some other company can or is already doing it better for less.
Ordered my CSL DD on dec 31st. For $507 with overnight delivery (they are 470 with standard shipping). Site said it would be ready for fulfilment on January 11th and was very upfront about it before I ordered. They sent it out on the 15th after ptmrepping the order over the weekend and it arrived on the 16th. Works fantastic.
My first and only experience with Fanatec was the CSL wheel and pedals on Forza 4. I loved it and still use it occasionally on the 360. A shame what’s happened. Been happily using a Thrustmaster T300 for the past couple years
Haha you use my comment about the rubber rim! (I'm now on my 2nd rim and exactly the same is happening) I think the issue with fanatec is they were small and grew in popularity too fast so that they don't have the support infrastructure and are struggling with demand. Like a lot of small companies they couldn't grow their offices and factories fast enough. Premises take time to set up, license and staff. You have to remember logitec and thrustmaster have been long established and are huge. Don't be surprised if moza have the same issue in future.
When I started sim racing, Fanatec filled the gap between high-end equipment and the more toy-like products from Logitech and Thrustmaster, at the time. When I decided that I was into the hobby enough to want some higher fidelity equipment without breaking the bank, Fanatec was the clear choice to replace my T150 with the bundled pedals. I went with the Fanatec CSW V2.5, because it was considered by many to be the best belt driven wheel on the market. I also bought the CSP V3 pedals and they were definitely a game changer. Everything was fine for a year and then I had a hall sensor stop working, then I had to send my wheelbase to be repaired because of an issue with the pins of my new Formula V2 wheel breaking off in the wheel hub. Fanatec even admitted that this was an issue with some of the first batches of CSW V2.5s. I had to convince them that I shouldn't have to pay for the repair if this was an issue with their wiring harness fitting too tight and pulling pins out of my new wheel. When companies like Moza and Simagic started being talked about I decided to give Simagic and Heusinkveld my business and I haven't looked back. There are many more choices nowadays if you can't spend money on the high end stuff like Simucube and GSI, etc.
Here is my Fanatec experience : Ordered Nov 27; pedals, shifter, wheel base, wheel. I received the shifter and pedals the end of December. Got two emails, Dec 29 and 30 saying that fanatec had sent me 2 packages. It is February 4th and the tracking information still only says that a label has been created. I would not recommend that anyone buy fanatec products.
I've only bought the CSL Elite V2 Pedals from them and that was around November. They were delivered on time and it's worked perfectly since then. I've either gotten lucky or they had those in stock.
Ask him about Simracinggirl and see how that works out 😂

it was very troubing for me to hear the CEO giving some BS answers and then calling for loyalty from customers, and also dismissing those "not loyal" former customers, they are either crooks, or incredibly incompetent in running the business, all bad excuses, they took people money, now they are putting excuses, while he also bragged about growing from 40 million to 180 million sales, what a guy
What is reliable right now for PS5 in 2024?

Try getting parts for Logitech or Thrustmaster lol
Craziest part about this entire situation is that even though at this point in early 2024 it's obvious to the entire world that there are many other competitors out there that are as good or better than Fanatec, Thomas still believes that they are the only business in town who has quality sim racing products. Just watch any of his interviews from the expo a few months ago and it's clear he is delusional and narcissistic. It's really a shame because this kind of thing can ruin a company's reputation and we're seeing it happen first hand right now.
Probably our money is being used on the CEO's hobby GP2 racing. I hope not.

Same here.
Better than me, I ordered on Nov 24 and have been completely ghosted…
The responses to this video are, honestly, overwhelming and I feel bad so many people have been let down
It seems this is a much bigger issue that even I thought - you can rest assured Fanatec will see this and I would be very surprised if we don't see some communications addressing the issues in a more straightforward way
That said I've been surprised before...
Incompetence isn't always fixable.
wonder how many orders were taken and how much they are playing catchup. could be 100x fold..
GT DD Pro has stopped me from enjoying online racing. And it’s not even defect, I just hate it (used Logitech before that).
Hoping for the best with both things
all their products are simple. Litterally sensors connected via cables. EASY fix if you want. You have to DO it though.
Sometimes i think they knowingly and purposfully send out defective units because it delays the whole process like in a pyramid scheme and gives them more time.
At this point its pure comedy when companies still use this "repair before replacement" scheme AFTER paying full price for a product.
Yep my stuff came without a boost kit. Paypal came through with the chargeback while support never answered.
What'd you get? I got a thrustmaster 248 and it's been great
I got a Logitech G920.
I can definitely recommend Moza. Love my r5. Great software as well.
UPS lost one of my parcels and I’m 27 days in waiting on a reply from Fanatec…. Not a good customer service experience at all
Its shocking they acknowledge they have major shipping issues due to new European warehousing which is causing carnage for customers, yet in the middle of the carnage of their own making they launch a black Friday event lasting a whole week compounding their logistics issues and also launch a new flagship clubsport product at the same time, which they can't even get out the door.
The exact same thing happened to me word for word. Ill be taking my refund to Simagic too 👍
Goddamn so glad I decided not to buy from them. Sorry for your inconvenience
This topic had to be said. I'm proud that you took it on, you have a lot of respect from us
I own a Fanatec DD2 and two wheels, never a problem. I owned the V3 pedals as well, when I upgraded to VRS pedals I gave the V3's to a friend who still uses them and never an issue.
I was thinking of upgrading from my t300 too a fanatec kit but now im kinda unsure.
I hope you enjoy what ever you end up going for 👍🏻
Moza bundle or Asetek la prima are the ones for you ;)
I've been waiting for my order (my complete order) since October.
I’ve been saying this for a while. If Moza started supporting consoles it would be game over for Fanatec and their overpriced gear.
Same, I went with Moza because Fanatec don't even ship to my country. I definitely dodged a bullet there. Moza is excellent with PC sims after dialing in settings and then I use the Ras1ution2 adapter for GT7. Hasn't skipped a beat for the 1 year I've had it.
@@voongnz Hi so using the Ras1ution2 the Moza (model ?) works fully with GT7?
That’s it
I went with a Logitech G Pro. Fanatec DD pro was runner up. 1 of 2 reasons I went Logitech was their superior CS.
Let us know how u go. I've had mine for several months.
I'm in love with it.
This is exactly why I ended up buying the Logitech direct drive wheel... and I love it!
I'm glad you love it...but Logitech already abandoned it. I can't imagine spending $1000 on a wheelbase that doesn't have interchangable wheels.
@TheOfficialOriginalChad did you watch the video little bro?

I thought that a Fanatec would be the next one for me so I'm glad to have seen this video. I already saw/headed some signals but didn't know the problems where so extensive. So thanks you the heads-up 👍
You're lucky. These criminals stole my $1,100. Delivered me a known faulty product. Will not respond to my emails. They should all go to jail. If their business was in the US I would visit them and physically take back my $1,100 dollars from them.
@@NinjaNoviceAlso remind them of their US warranty terms which they are OBLIGATED to uphold. They can't ignore that.
Same here but I will be staying with Logitech since I need the PS5 support.
I’ll buy my next wheel from Logitech. Your loss Fanatec. 😊
Why Logitech of everything available?

Although thinking back,
I did have a standoff missing to mount the peddles.
They're also incompetent which doesnt help either.
don't give them the benefit of doubt. first of all, they did a big BF sale all while they had an EXISTING BACKLOG. they then proceeded to mark their products as "available" and "ready to ship" and posted their 3-7 days shipping time. not to mention the sale went day by day, which means they were selling products continuously while knowing that they were out of stock.
Also the fact that Fanatec doesn't have the final go ahead from Sony for licensing for the clubsport dd+ 👀
This. A HUGE issue. They are rooted.
The demise of Fanatec is genuinely disappointing. They've been top of my wish-list essentially since the launch of GT7 - fair enough, I'm probably 8-12 months from pulling the trigger, but as it stands, I'm leaning to Logitec!
I've got one. Awesome. Listen to Kireth, too. He has one.
@@supercededman yeah, the G-Pro looks pretty epic tbh
The G pro is amazing especially in GT7. The true force is so immersive. @@The_BenboBaggins

Zen's Simwheels is a great alternative, both for products and service!!
thank god I read comments sometimes...I''ve been looking for an GTP wheel with the correct rotaries etc for god knows how long. Never heard about Zen's...THANK YOU!
Here's my story ->
I ordered during the Black Friday deals, on November 25 (USA web site), everything was IN STOCK.
(I took another risk)
My order is still at the same state when I did the order.
The criminals stole my money. Left me high and dry. No response to all my emails.
i ordered on black friday 18th Nov nearly 8 weeks ago, still waiting, no contact. Couldn't help but get the dd2 with such a discount but wish i never.
my Black friday order (which was listed as in stock) has not been shipped yet and probably will not be shipped until march :D
I personally don't have a problem with their products, but lately the customer service and shipping times are out of this world bad. I am very close to sell all my Fanatec equipment and go for a different eco system.
I just ordered a DD base, booster , shifter,
Hand break, wrc wheel, bmw gt wheel. A full setup. Had it all in just about a week. No problems.
Are you un USA? About to pull the trigger on a ClubSport Pedals V3 but I`m afraid of shipping issues. I see most people having issues are from Europe but not many comments from USA.
Yes us
I had the same problem.
Kireth. You didn’t even touch on the DD+ licensing issue and huge delay on that.
Yep, caught up in that myself. They pulled some shady shit selling them without approval yet, had I known I would not have bought
! :D atm im using csl elite with mclaren wheel, but my dd pro is in the corner boxed in from the repairs... after 2 fails in less then half an hours both times, im not risking it anymore, not on playstation at least..
its a German company- which should be the same as saying ,,heavy duty quality'' ! probably that how it was and thats surely how I seen them, but I think thats not the case anymore/./
And I was a HUGE fan of them, Fanatec stickers even on my bike !
I was thinking of buying fanatek clubsport dd+ but saw all the videos on youtube so I ordered logiteck for ps5 instead
How is the Logitech? Even without accessories? Is it worth it for ps5?
:D be thankfull its not available.. :D :D jsut get logitech g pro ;)
I ordered mine a week ago ill let u know how long the whole process takes, not expecting anytime soon after seeing these reviews lol
I'm from UK, mine just arrived today the whole process took 10 days.
@@andygunner8531 aint a problem delivery times.. prepare for RMA send outs :D
I have moza r12, 0 issues so far (Buy local not from their site !)
Pov: sim racers be like: "i hate fanatec!" also them buys *fanatec wheel*
Ok, i am buying the logitech dd pro. Or is Moza allready compatible with gt7?
Thank you for making this video. I have heard the rumors but was still willing to take a chance on Fanatec. But thanks to the more specific info you provide, I am running, not walking, away from Fanatec and looking at others that can provide a DD system for PS5. To think I was planning to drop over $1K USD on Fanatec as early as this weekend. Hell no, know.
Great decision.....I wasted over a grand. The company sucks....actually they are criminals.
I paid for a CSL DD bundle yesterday. I’ll return and update to share the good or the bad.
I priced out an equivalent Moza setup and it was hundreds of dollars more expensive for the R9 vs 8nm CSL DD.
*edit #1* - three days after ordering I have a tracking number
*edit #2* - five days after ordering the carrier has my packages; Fanatec's job is done, now it's on FedEx
*edit #3* - product arrived one week after purchase, well packaged and fully functional (needed firmware updates though)
To contrast I ordered a Moza table clamp from their site and the order was still processing when I had my hands on my Fanatec gear.
Hopefully they are caught up on the shipments🤞
And yes, same for me.
(I'm now on my 2nd rim and exactly the same is happening)
I think the issue with fanatec is they were small and grew in popularity too fast so that they don't have the support infrastructure and are struggling with demand.
Here is my Fanatec experience :
Ordered Nov 27; pedals, shifter, wheel base, wheel.
