Barra is a beautiful island not only the beautiful scenery with Kisimul Castle and the beautiful white sandy beaches but also its history from ancient times to modern day especially about the clan McNeill and the 35th chieftain of the clan who was a famous outer Hebrides notorious pirate Ruari the Turbulent. When I was on holiday in the outer Hebrides I never got to Barra because of the storm on that day I was supposed to take the coach there. I would love to live in Barra as I like the cold weather and plus going out on adventures, better than being stuck indoors all day.
I was there in December 1983. It's a special place, I loved the land and the people. Happy memories.
