This feels like it should be playing over the credits to some badass, crowd-pleasing, full-of-explosions action flick. And I mean that in the very best way.
Technodreamer I agree, either a tongue in cheek Templar story, or a Layer Cake British cops & villains flick, even a SAS adventure with hilarious squadie humour, it's so expressive and evokes such a British sensibility.I love it.
Henry. There's always going to be people that have to complain or find fault about everything. The reality of it is that these are great musicians. Excellent intonation, phrasing and tuning. In my experience, if they (the complainers) could play at that level they wouldn't be complaining. C'mon people learn to give credit where credit is due. Great job guys!!!!!
It's not really complaining when, to different people, it sounds different. To me it seemed sluggish. That's not a criticism of individual talent, as much as I believe it was due to everyone hearing each other through head phones. I think it would have been better if they played without the head phones and heard each other "live." The drummer needs them because he needs to hear to adjust his volume himself, by how hard he hits each drum or cymbal. I think the engineer "took away" his expressionism by adjusting the levels on him too much.
This epic interpretation demonstrates how a very skillful band can be lifted by a very skillful bass player. No electric powered bass guitar here, "only" an E flat bass tuba powered by air stream, loungs, proper breathing, lips and chops - and some meters of pipes and tubing. In the right hands, the tuba is powerful enough to lift the entire band, to be the engine - the pushing and driving force. And this tuba player sure provides that. As a tuba player myself, I love what Mr. Ross Knight did here. Respect!
I can listen to this all day. I'm actually a beginner trombone player and this peace is part of my listening list for brass playing. Well job done guys!
+Dylan Coolahan Hey Dylan, we actually have a couple recorded and filmed at the moment and are planning on doing some more next year. The trouble is the guy with all the sound has moved to LA and we can't get them off him! We're working on it :). Will keep you posted
This song with the brass(especially the trumpets) and the set name like something something you would here in Spain, really gave it that Spanish trumpet vibe to it
The trumpet players in the 16th runs are AMAZING. I'm a big fan of Muse and grew up playing classical, so I absolutely love this arrangement. The only thing I would change is your drummer in this piece. It's like he either wasn't into the piece in general, or he was very distracted (it shows). Still, all in all, GREAT cover, keep up the good work!
Except then he'd risk overpowering / overshadowing them. In a brass band, the percussion is very much a supporting part. Besides, all the individual parts of Knights of Cydonia are quite simple, they just sound complicated when layered
Jyrral Von Ueberwald the problem is that it's not a very hard song to play on traditional rock instruments like the original, so the drumming fits in normally, also some of the fills are quite complicated.
I believe he's playing pretty close to the original, but it doesn't sound nearly as majestic because it's not mixed as high or something. I could use a bit more drums, personally, but I suppose they know what they're doing...
The drums sounded a bit, patchy? It was like sometimes he was playing but nothing was heard on the drums. Also the snare drum really wasn't good... But other than that it was pretty impressive
@@chianneneider8879 You can still play the centre of the drum when playing rim shots, otherwise you get the very thin sound that most people are commenting about.
Perfect ! :D (except from the sound of the drums and its reverb not mixing with the other instruments) It gives a smile while working hard from home :)
Woah, Nice! Excellent playing and nice arrangement! Louis sounds great, I've seen some of his videos, he sounds just like Wayne Beregeron, its incredible.
That tuba is killing that guitar part. Oh my god.
for real, for real
Yes - The Tuba is indeed Awesome!!!
Euphonium .
@@michaelbridges943 E-flat compensating tuba.
@@michaelbridges943 how big do you think a euph is?!
Thumbs up for those who know this video is not about the song, arrangement, or muse.
But about the mad tuba skills and trumpet arpeggios.

+Mark Olson Inglourious Reservoir Knights
+Technodreamer I'd play it at my funeral
if i didn't die like a scrub, of course
Nobody seems to do, but we think of you, awesome Tuba player on air-compressor. Well done!
My God, the Tuba player was kicking ass! Good intonation, and articulation as well as sound overall.
The timbre of the instruments gives this a much more triumphant feel than the original. Not a bad thing, just different.
Im a trombone player who LOVES that song. when I saw that incredible trombone player playing the main part of the song I loved it
Lmao same :D
+Tristan Chisholm same

Nutella For Breakfast lol what?
Also with anything if you look for flaws you'll find them so the complainers aren't doing anything worthy of anyone's attention

That Tuba was 🔥🔥 nailed that guitar and the solo
How can people dislike this?!
I feel like my heart is weeping

As a trombone player gotta love the second half ;)
Sascha Rambeaud
As a fellow trombone player, I couldn't be more proud
Sascha Rambeaud sí 👌
absolutely!!!
Superb arrangement, epic playing.
The reduced attack of everything in the last 2 minutes is GORGEOUS. So moody, so lovely. 😊
By far one of the best covers that i have heard.
I was really hoping that one of the trumpets would do a "come on Wembley!" at 4:13 :P
I feel you, mate.
I couldn't even sing this song without shouting "Come on Wembley!" at that part.
Haha!
Epic tuba arpeggios!
Incrível!!! grande banda, incríveis músicos, estão de parabéns. Aqui é Brasil, e admiramos seu trabalho.
This literally made me warm up just listening to it
I didn't notice this until my second watch, but the drummer switches to traditional grip sometime in the middle of it
Why did this channel have to stop 3 years ago... I. NEED. MORE!
Gives me chills each time I listen to you guys
you guys are so good! I'd love to hear this live! I'm a trumpet player as well!
why do I feel so powerful when I hear this, probably just only me
Oscar Quiel Not just you
Not just you²

that bass trombonist was puttin' in WORK, jesus
oh wait it's the tuba a lot of the time actually- wow. good job tuba!
This cover could easily be in a movie as a Soundtrack.
Lol, Rockys training 2
The trumpet next to the French horn has amazing chops
Louis Dowdeswell if anyone is interested. He does some pretty great work.
Completely awesome
That bass trombone was pretty boss, I gotta say.
Couldn't agree more. Haha ;)
+James Buckle are you guys gonna do another cover soon?
+Dylan Coolahan Hey Dylan, we actually have a couple recorded and filmed at the moment and are planning on doing some more next year. The trouble is the guy with all the sound has moved to LA and we can't get them off him!
We're working on it :). Will keep you posted
+James Buckle oh okay! Thanks :D
Props for including that sinister arpeggio with the bone!
Mad respect to Louis just straight tonguing and articulating High Fs out of the gate.
Is it just me or is anything that has Louis Dowdeswell in it automatically amazing?
Sounds great!
Idk what people are complaining about, this was awesome
There are plenty of dickheads that probably couldn't play it with a lot of criticism. I could play this and I thought they kicked the shit out of it !
0:35 is honestly one of my favorite parts
Adoro esse vídeo em especial. Obrigada por gravarem! Essa é uma das minhas músicas preferidas e vocês mandaram bem!!
Holy sweet Jesus's ass those trumpet players are amazing.
***** He's saying they're good you fuck
ArmyGreen Yeah, that is one hell of a rough tune for a trumpet.
*****
+Technodreamer ikr i was watching it with my jaw dropped i mean i can play high... but that :D This is a must learn for me.
Dont tell them that... trumpet players have big enough egos
this is incredible...
This would be some sort of amazing for a DCI show.
I love it. Well played and well recorded. I think I did a great job listening, as well.
The trumpet player on the right. HOLY CRAP you a perfect
the clarity that comes with the trombone section on melody.
Yessss tune in the trombone!! Good stuff! Love that song and the arrangement !
So unbelievable good! Makes my trumpet heart Fly! ♥
Could you ask the composer if I could have an arrangement? I might try to get some of my friends together to play this.
orangeandblack5 if you just look up the sheet music for it you can download a free pdf, that's what I did
it just got raised to another level!!!!
Amazing guys.I play trombone and love what the low brass is doing.great arrangement.
THis is just pure awesome! Brings back the days of being in band.
This song with the brass(especially the trumpets) and the set name like something something you would here in Spain, really gave it that Spanish trumpet vibe to it
Absolutely Superb !
Parabéns jovens, A música enriquece a alma!
Love it when classical instruments get funky
excellent!I'm sure Muse would approve of this!
Jesus I can only imagine how hard it would be to play quick triplets on a god damn tuba!
Oh my goodness this is FANTASTIC. I saw the title and I had to take a listen. badass job.
Very Very Good music!! Very Compliments!!
Trombone, french horn. The best duo ever.
imagine an army of soldiers wielding mops and riding ostriches into battle to this music
You, my sir, have made my day.

This is the power of music ! Great job guys !
My school played this song in marching band 5 years ago. It was 3rd Segment.
mega sound louis
An excellent cover!
Awsome !!!! Very very good job guys ! Very good arrangement !
It's amazing and beautiful and needs another three bass trombones.
Beautiful!
Strong hug from Manaus Brazil
I really want to play this in my brass band!!!
Poor tuba, he played through the whole thing and got almost no screentime.
As a tubist: eh, we're used to it.
MikuJess no kidding, it's like a running gag in a sitcom
Opulence Space It's probably the best part, 1000 times better than anything in this.
I can agree, in most cases this is true, but while in marching band we get plenty of action at our school. :P
It's the life of a tuba player. It doesn't help that you can only see one side of their face so the camera avoids them.
This is all kinds of awesome!
Please make more vids like this guys!!! Love it
Toopppp,continua postando ,amo trompete😍🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺
this is amazing!

Nice to hear and to see! 👏🏼
My only complaint is that it feels like the drummer should be playing something far more complicated to compliment the brass.
ikr

He is playing good but he's playing it very thin. Espacially after the "drop" he could have played it like in the original
i cant get over this its sooooo good.
Muito bom!!
Wow! Kick-ass job everyone!
Simply awesome!!!
That was just awesome. It really struck me. Wow, really, nice job guys.
Simply amazing.
The drums sounded a bit, patchy? It was like sometimes he was playing but nothing was heard on the drums. Also the snare drum really wasn't good... But other than that it was pretty impressive
the reason why it Looked like he missed the snare was probably because there were rim shots written in...
Emma Thomas also he wasnt playing doubles on the bassdrum
2:50

The floor tom is totally out, idk why

Maginfique super arrangement!
true talent. dream job right there.
Just amazing...
This is sick! Perfect cover, I love your Version!
Brilliant. Thanks for making my morning.

WOW! Amazing. This has to be so rewarding!
