i installed 64 gigs in mine and works perfect i have a gen 4 drive 7k x7k man its fast in the 1 slot and a gen 3 in the other
is it the same model from 2021? it says it max out at 32gb, I have the 2021 version I am planning to upgrade ram.
@@exogendesign4582 I've got the 21 version & I also did the same thing as mentioned above to mine. Upgraded somewhere around a year ago & it seems to be doing fine with 64gigs.

some max at 64gb and others at 32. the 2021 asus tuf f17 I have maxes at 32. If you're unsure call asus to verify, that's what I did@@exogendesign4582

i5 11400H / rtx 3060 80W-95W/ 2x8GO 3200mhz/ 512go nvme
acheté en Septembre 2021, je le trouvais bruyant dès le départ! mais vraiment .... Cpu / gpu très souvent autour des 80 degrés, voire 85 sur des jeux poussant un peu plus que la moyenne le cpu.
Je me suis enfin décidé à remplacer la pâte thermique ! Surprise au démontage du bloc radiateur, il y a des pads et de la pâte sur plein de composants, après un gros nettoyage et une pose propre d'une nouvelle pâte de qualité ( Arctic MX-4) quel plaisir de voir une température plafonner à 70-72 C° et des ventilateurs ne faire que très peu de bruit !!! donc moins d'effort pour évacuer la chaleur :) au passage la pâte appliquée sur le CPU ainsi que gpu étaient sèches !! de très mauvaise qualité ! honteux pour un ordinateur à ce prix là qui est quand même censé être performant et dégager une certaine quantité de chaleur.... ce n'est quand même pas les 15W de consommation d'un petit laptop bureautique avec un i3 et qui tourne sur IGP ....
i5 11400H / rtx 3050 / 2x8GB 3200mhz/ 512gb nvme, TUF F17, cpu / gpu - 95..98 / 82C° (TURBO mode) in games on ultra-settings with same Arctic MX-4.
With stock liquid it has 100 / 89 C° (Noises like Boeing)

are you sure you applied the thermal paste correctly? Your fans are running I guess, you didn't put the computer in silent mode?
Otherwise at home it is between 19 and 21 ° C. but it wouldn't affect the pc temperature as much even with 28..... (Celcius haha)
@@ffflllooowww45 yep, i turned off intel TURBO boost, so for now temp is 73C for cpu and gpu together...
i'm using perfomance or turbo mode in armoury crate

I think I have a faulty battery because mine in Browsing mode gets only about 90 minutes. 1:27
mine too have less than 90 minutes browsing and aroung 2.5 hours watching movies

What revision is that motherboard?
My 2022 F17 has a simpler heatsink, I aim a 4" fan at it to help with cooling when gaming or using Stable Diffusion to keep temps from spiking into the 90 degrees range.
Is it possible to use the pc without the battery? I mean, only plugged to the charger
Salut l'ami, je n'ai jamais fait le test, mais je serais tenté de te répondre que non, car les batteries à présent sont " internes" et pas conçues pour être amovibles depuis l'extérieur du pc , alors j'imagine que le fonctionnement fait que la batterie soit obligé d'être présente pour que le PC puisse s'allumer. ( Comme un smartphone qui aurait une batterie H.S et qui ne s'allumerait pas même branché ! ) :-)

Model ASUS GAMING F17 - FX706HCB has 2x NVMe and has enough space next to the battery for an classic SSD drive, even the BIOS recognizes this slot, but it does not have a physical slot for connecting a cable :( :( :(

anyone have any idea if this is the same for the 2022 ver? I bought a f17 RTX 3060 from amazon only to realize it only has 512 gb of memory. EDIT I took it apart so ifca yone who bought the same model you ca easily find instructions on their official site , the computer also does have an extra SSD slot specifically m2. The only problem is the screw you need to remove just doesn't seem to move.
Is the base under the screw turning? Try to hold it with some small needle nose and then unscrew it. Some older Tuf Gaming laptops were this way.

Estaba viendo lo mismo, ya que el manual en la página de Asus es sólo de uso general. Teniendo la batería puesta, no parece tener espacio para HDD. Aunque al remover la batería, se liberan espacios potables para 2.5"... No obstante, no veo conectores SATA libres para poder conectar, así que no creo. Si averiguás de algo avisame!

@@gustavoh450 gracias crack! Qué tal te rinde? Estoy evaluando comprarla. Leí comentarios negativos sobre los colores de la pantalla y sobre la RAM, dicen que tiene algunas fallas y cambia muchísimo el rendimiento poniendo dual channel de memorias de buena frecuencia, será así?
@@IDV2007 a mi en lo personal me rinde excelente, no he tenido problemas con la pantalla y tampoco con el ram, la bateria me dura bastante tambien, el unico detalle q tengo q averiguar es si tiene para poner un hdd extra, porque para otro nvme si tiene
@@gustavoh450 ya me llegó la mía, la abrí y busqué info por todos lados y confirmé lo siguiente:
- El modelo 2021 (con Intel de 11° Gen o placas de la Gen. RTX de NVIDIA) soporta 2 NVMe (no sé qué capacidad máxima, leí que 2TB por puerto pero no lo confirmé) pero NO TIENE puertos o flex disponibles para conectar HDD o SSD convencionales.
- Los modelos 2020 (con Intel de 10° Gen o anteriores, o la línea 1600 de NVIDIA) sí tienen un flex disponible para ello. El cable viene incluido con la notebook y si tu modelo vino con batería grande, tenés que cambiar al modelo más chico para poder generar el espacio para poner el disco.
