When the story was being released, the Uchiha clans' fate (especially the reason for it) was one of the series' biggest mysteries
They Kyubi was growling in the background the whole video, very fitting 🤣
The mangekyo sharingan activates when the possessor of the sharingan witnesses or feels extreme pain of losing someone whom they loved.(itachi killed Shishi to unlock his mangekyo)
(And each magekyo are unique and are a class of their own)
(For example, Itachi's mangekyo has the ability to lit a person on black fire[which cant be put out]and it is known to the one of the deadlist attack due to its nature] and obito(the orange mas/the goofy guy that turner evil) his mangekyo allows him to be in a temporary state of immaterial, and also move between spaces, the swirl you see before he disappears is the teleportation
It's not always when they lose someone they love , it activates if they witness a traumatic experience which is in most cases a death of loved ones. And Itachi didn't kill Shisui. Shisui jumped off the cliff and that's what activated his mangekyo
It's not about losing someone they love. That's a lie told by black Zetsu to fuel the Uchiha curse of hatred
It's about having a traumatic experience like how Sarada recently unlocked her eye in Boruto
@@Mad_scientist_ha_ha_ha Thanks for the spoiler I guess...
@@serghonest9 the chapter came out like 5 months ago 🗿
actually shisu jumped off the cliff himself
Once they get to storm 2 and storm 3 the cutscenes are explained a lot better because of how the story is laid out. I loved Naruto but watching all of it would take too long and is a pretty big time commitment
Up to this day I hate that Storm 1 doesn't have fleshed-out cutscenes like its successors did, would've been awesome to go through the whole story instead of just some random missions
i watch all of naruto (except the fillers) at least once every year and i still don't get tired of it. :D
I would take them watching the series. I don't like the order in which this story is being told. There is a lot to say or the impact of finding some of these things out later. Finding out the Konaha village was more trash than originally presented, finding out later that SAsuke fuel or vegence was really pointless as you find out the Uchiha clan wanted to start an uprising due to being outcasted by a village they help create and Itachi having to kill his friends and family to start a war, was sick and dying when he fought sasuke and was determined to play bad guy until he died for sasuke to find out the truth is devastating. Its easier to see why Sasuke was like sure lets make another akatsuki when his brother died (he's still an idiot) when you find out everything like he did and that everything he and the audience knew was a lie. It's easier for the audience to sympathize with dumb decisions if you don't know the truth immediately because you have that inormation in the back of your head. The way these are being shown suck any mystery out and surprise.
Thank you so much for the reactions, guys. Itachi is currently wearing his Anbu Black Ops gear... Similar to like a militia soldier.
more like a special ops soldier, Anbu are like the secret service.
Yeah, this is interesting.. a majority, if not all, of what you've watched so far(not just this episode but all of them) are presented to the viewer as flashbacks when it becomes relevant to the main plot. A lot of it recontextualizes how you may feel/think about certain characters.
In a way, this'll make a very interesting reaction imo. Like.. to see which characters you guys will end up liking/not liking since you won't see them develop in the same way.
We had no idea it was in chronological order when we began watching this. It’ll be a different way to see it and certain parts will hit differently but we are enjoying the characters and story thus far 😅
Danzo....like at least 90% of all the bad stuff that happens in Naruto can be traced back to him and some scheme he had to become Hokage and attain true peace for (his version) the Leaf Village.
Zetsu just sitting back watching Danzo do his job for him.
"Hey, Obito, we really need Nagato to hate the world enough to cooperate with our plans, and he definitely can't ally with konoh- and Danzo just got his best friend killed."
"The Ninetails jinchuriki is a future potential threat and we can't let the leaf bring out it's full potential. Oh, wait, never mind, Danzo leaked the brats status and now the village hates him and he isn't receiving near the care and training he should be"
"If anyone could be a threat to the infinite tsukiyomi, it'd be another Uchiha with their sharingan. We should take care of them while we- ...and Danzo had them massacred. Excellent.
Bethany, it doesn't get happy. Naruto is an anime that is all over the place emotionally, so there will be happy times and there will be a lot of sad times. This is going to be an emotional watch for the two of you.
prequel stuff almost always end in tragedy.
I really wish shisui could have lived long enough to reach his full potential. He thought to be one of if not the strongest of his clan.
Itachi's Voice Actor is also the VA for the MC in Destiny
16:30 You could even say he's blindly believing in him.
When does it get happy....the first mistake was thinking this was a happy anime.
A lot of the sadness and confusion being so front loaded is that you're watching these chronologically instead of the canon order. So lot's of tragic back story about the why the things are the way they are and people doing the things they're doing. A lot of these scenes, like Obito, were actually shown near the end of the series.
That makes sense. We didn’t know that going into this so the first 8 episodes we had no idea it was chronological 🤗
Naruto could have been called Uchiha that clan gets so much focus lmao
I love the way Itachi pokes Sasukes forehead, I think its such an endearing way for brothers to show affection, something as simple as that but no less meaningful
1:05 I wonder if they're allowed to start a fight without doves losing feathers around.
If Itachi had been there with Shisui, they both would've died. It was actually very fortunate that they weren't there together initially.
I'm glad you two like the story of Naruto, It's one of the first animes that i got introduced and is one of my favourite animes on my list. So i hope you two are continue enjoying it alot more than i do
We are for sure enjoying it 🙂
yall got a lil cute gremlin growlin
Même en ayant déjà joué et en ayant déjà vu l'animé, j'attends vos réactions avec impatience ! Vous êtes cool👍
There is no "happy" in this series. There is always an underlying current of despair, even in the most cheerful moments. Naruto grew up with no one. The Third Hokage declared that any talk about how the Nine-Tails was defeated was forbidden. All the adults knew that Nine-Tails was sealed in Naruto but they were so disgusted at the idea that it was among them that they treated Naruto with all the hatred they had for it.
Naruto didn't even live in an orphanage. He was separated from the other children and given a small apartment that he was forced to live in alone with supplies delivered so that he didn't have to go out. This only served to isolate him more. He started acting out as a means of getting people to notice him, even if it was only to receive their anger. He spent the first 12 years of his life in isolation and only really started making friends when he attended ninja academy. Even then, most of the children had learned to avoid him based on how their parents treated him.
😢
Fun fact about this part of the story, Itachi is in the anbu black ops which is a squad that takes care dirty work in the village Itachi is part of team Rogue, this team had Kakashi as his leader and it's easily the deadliest squad the village ever had, and that's where Kakashi became famous
Some of the information not in this vid is that Danzo implanted Shisui's eye and used a subtle genjustu to persuade the council that since Shisui "failed" that the only other option was the Uchiha massacre. Everything was already decided by the time Itachi arrived. So he was given a choice. Either let the Anbu (normal Anbu serve the Hokage and The Foundation/Root serve Danzo) kill everyone in the clan, or Itachi kills everyone, but get's to let his brother Sasuke survive. So he killed everyone (enlisting Tobi/Madara/Obito's help), including the girl he loved and his parents, and joined the Akatsuki as a spy. Before he left, he put Sasuke in a genjutsu showing how he killed everyone and told him it was merely to test how powerful he was. That is why Sasuke is so hell bent on revenge.
I kinda got carried away a bit, but that's the gist of it 😅
Amazing video! Thanks!
I really want you two to watch the show and I know you two would like it. But it's actually pretty long and a commitment.
Yeah we weren’t sure we would get around to it or when. It would dominate our channel and thus our lives haha. For context, we normally do two episodes a week for a show. So for Naruto that would take 9 years 😂
Huh....so in the game they showed us Shisui's Susann'o ability....that green ghost thing around him....that was never in the anime. I don't think anyone knew he had one. Guess it makes sense he would have one, but seeing it is crazy, and it is the only green one....usually it's blue/purple in color....outside of Itachi's which is red.

you guys are so sweet and always remind me of my parents
It takes a LONG time in the series if you're watching the show until you find out what happened to the Uchiha, I'm glad the games tell you sooner tbh, since until then you don't understand Itachi like AT ALL.
It takes up until the second game to really learn about Itachi. They are watching this in chronological order, rather than order of release.
My favorite part was the dog noises 🥰
Dude how casually they spoiled the whole original Naruto story there at the end xD.
So, the Naruto series is structured in two parts: "Naruto" (which covers the story of when he is 12/13 years old), and "Naruto Shippuden" (which covers the story of when he is 16 years old and also 95% of the characters' backstories). The bad side of this video (the one you are reacting to) is that the "Naruto" part of the series is not really well explained in the game.
Also, keep in mind that these games often tend to, either focus on the action aspect of the series, or on the backstory aspect (which is often sad in Naruto) of the series, and not much in the humor. But believe me, the Naruto series has A LOT of funny things, even at times when humor is normally left out in other shows (like, for example, in the middle of a final battle). Naruto implements its humor very good in the story.
what breed is that doggo? looks like it has rabbit ears, so cuuuuuute!
i dont know if you guys have watched it, but i think it might be worth for you guys to check out the whole naruto series :)
They Obviously have not lol
re a lot of it feeling like isolated events: well this is in chronological order, this is emphatically NOT the order that you learn about these events in the actual story. In fact some of the things you've already seen are huge reveals that don't take place until very late into the series, like practically end-game plot points. It does all make sense and weave together into a single story, but it's bound to feel very disjointed uncovering it chronologically like this.
Not really, different perspective and a breath of fresh air.
@@JasonRogue they're the ones who said it felt that way. I'm just pointing out why.
@@jiayojamesfair enough.
Lol when is it gonna get happy XD It never does its always sad and it gets worse the longer it goes!
Idk, not feeling this approach, it's so out of order and the context is cut to shreds
Yep.
You’re exactly right, the way the actual anime lays out the plot, sets up for the next ark, next reveal, next enemy. But this way-even though it’s in chronological order- doesn’t explain anything in a way that makes it feel connected with other parts of the story, also chronological is boring. If they knew what naruto went through as a child, they probably would’ve been more emotionally drained at his parents death lol.
@earendilthemariner5546 Because the series wasn't made to be viewed in that order. There's no context for Itachi and Sasuke when viewing this. They still don't even know what Itachi was about to do.
I think it's because the story is still in the past when there were many overlaying plot threads happening at the same time
It'll get better when they reach the beginning of Naruto when the story start focusing on Naruto and goes only one way
@@earendilthemariner5546 Out of order in the narrative sense. Naruto is told in a certain order and not just from the beginning so that there is tension, reveals, and mystery. With the chronological order it is out of order because those elements are ignored.
so more expansion on shisui death
when shisui says "I wont last long" its because he was poisoned by one of danzo's man who specilizes in poisonus insects thats why his vision started getting worse
and shisui did not die due to jumping off the mountain he pretended to suicide so that itachi will awaken the mangekyou sharingan
he hid in a place no one will find his body in and than died due to the poison
The Day Itachi lost his Brother….and how he joined the Akatsuki
16:16 People give really awkward things as presents in this world. It's their culture and you have to respect it, I guess.
W reaction, and noti gang🫡😂
Present
The reason it's so disconnected is because you guys are watching it in chronological order instead of how the story unfolds in the games.
well this version was certainly rated G. the original version from the anime showed him unaliving himself with bleeding eyes it was far more emotional.
Not to be tone deaf..but it’s crazy how the morals of this story can apply in real life (the attack on the innocent Palestinians to secure peace in Israel, to the Uchiha and the Leaf) and we get to see the sad side of it.
Hm, yet another glimpse of the Past, i wonder which Chapter will be covered next.
Also, what was that at the end there?
@@justinarzola4584 huh, i see, I guess the real fun starts with Part 7.
Shisui's susanoo is canon?
You don 't understand a lot , because in 20 minutes of cutscenes from the game you want to master the plot of the series in 500 episodes . You miss a lot of details , criminally a lot .
Itachi was 13 at that time.
I sure hope that wasn't all they're going to show of young Naruto. If that's it then they skipped all of Naruto, where most of the character building stuff, funny stuff, and awesome stuff is.
ahhhhh i see, they are watching the order where they show the past first lol. The real anime / game / manga order would have gave yall Naruto's parts right away. But yall wouldn't have known the villians yet and the uchiha's coup and stuff yet. I guess both ways is fine but starting with Naruto right away would have been the silly stuff mixed in earlier to.
I commend you for trying, but watching it this way without 80% of the context and base knowledge you need to know to understand what half of these characters are saying and doing definitely minimizes any reaction. (Sure you can empathize with the characters, but lacking information about the world, its mechanics/ politics, and how they relate to the protagonists/antagonists, etc, simply leads to a less satisfying experience for everybody) You're basically getting chronological backstory for "side-characters" to a plot you don't know.
Huh, I didn’t expect to see you here.
Anyway, fair and valid points and opinions, but we’ll see how things ends up being by the end of this.
Fair points and truth be told we didn’t know it was in chronological order when we began and chose the video. However it did suck us in more than if we just watched the cutscenes of each game since the first couple games aren’t as detailed it seems.
However we knew going into this that condensing a 1000 episode series into 20+ hours was going to be a watered down version of the show. But as anime newbies we felt this was a way to get into the show and characters.
And maybe like with dragon ball z abridged, it’ll make us want to check out the actual show down the line 🤗
I do find this interesting, but I should let you know that you're probably missing like 80% of the context from the show. I recommend reacting to the actual show, because the games are giving you bits and pieces of hidden backstories and stuff we found out later on in the show, before giving you any of the base info that we all got from the show before learning any of the stuff that you have watched already.
god i hate Danzo, I still don't get the people defending him
He's the Leaf dictator/tyrant so Im not surprised
unfortunantly the first part of naruto(which is around 134 episodes) wouldnt really be seen in the video your watching due to it not really being adapted in the games
135*
Rain of Khandaq nah yor just being hysterickal thats all🤣😑
