My GOD, I get goose bumps listening to this, at 60 yrs old this is THE ABSOLUTE BEST !!! This will NEVER be beaten!!!! Number 1 forever !!!! It can't be beat ......ever.!!!
That was actually a kludge. When animating the first Thunderbird 2 launch, they found the wingspan of the model was too wide, and it clipped the trees. Result: they fitted the model tree stumps to holes in two broomsticks. Result: magic.
I live on a island and my swimming pool opened and a giant rocket zoomed out and I was on my balcony and the palm trees tilted then a giant green plane comes out and launched then I was in my roundhouse then a rocket with three engines and is red launched as well something is wrong with my island
As someone who grew up with the Thunderbirds, watched every episode dozens of times, has the whole series on DVD and saw the movie at the theatre back in the 80's....I have to say this is the best rendition Iv;e heard apart from the original! This takes me back 40 yrs to my childhood , watching the Tracey boys do their thing! A fantastic effort by all and a tribute to Mr Anderson. ....FAB. Gregg.
Gerry Anderson recounts his experience hearing Thunderbirds March for the first time on page 123 of the authorised biography 'What Made Thunderbirds Go': 'I watched from the monitor room with sound engineer Eric Tomlinson, I'll never forget the incredible feeling I got when Barry conducted the first take. It sent shivers down my spine - I knew straight away that it was something special.' Gerry recounts that the orchestra was larger than normal and that because of the hot environment at Anvil Studios near Denham this time as before Barry Gray would put down his baton, remove his shirt and carry on in his vest. Gray commanded huge respect from his musicians.
@@muttt.whopull3252 Avengers? Well there is a lot of avengers show (which aren’t that good) Maybe spectacular Spider-Man and Spider-Man from 1994 but other then that the whole tv show thing for the avengers is crap Thunderbirds are the best at themes
They are a fantastic band ! Has anyone else seen a military band march past playing this ? It makes you stand really proud ! 🙂You can't beat Gerry Anderson theme tunes
Hats off to you all, you honour the great thunderbirds tv show of the 60s love this to pieces, every bit as good as any military marching band, & the only version as good as the actual tv theme itself thanks
If you mean the “5, 4” etc. bit isolated without the words, the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra included it in their rendition. Link: ruclips.net/video/6fGD1xmlFmE/видео.html
This is the best version ever. Absolutely fantastic. Well done by all. It takes a lot of practice to get to this extreme level of accurate 'Barry Grey' original production sound without a studio.
An excellent cover, as already stated by others. Also, props for including the dramatic 'coming up in this episode' teaser before the credits, an integral part of the viewing experience that no other versions include. It is like the 'scream out' ending of every episode of Doctor Who, an essential that only ever appeared on the KLF/Timelord's 'Doctoring the House' (1988) ... Without it, it's just not the same!
I wanna say I am crying For the joy from my childhood and happiness that youtube has Given me a chance to hear this again omg i have missed this soo much thankyou for the greatest cover of my favourite t.v puppet series theme.
マイクの性能がよいのか、収録している位置がよいのか、とてもよい感じに仕上がっている。演奏は、ドラマの雰囲気をしっかり再現していると思う。 Whether the performance of the microphone is good or the recording position is good, it is finished with a very good feeling. I think that the performance perfectly reproduces the atmosphere of the drama.
I have seen that serie when i was a little kid,i remember this march of thunderbirds like Stingray serie music, this awesome music can transport you to this age and trasmit the power, bravery and heroism in his unequalable ritm,FANTASTIC!!!!!,greetings from Buenos Aires,Argentina

Play Mustard this piece they mastered this piece and all its components what exceptional precision I must say I'm quite impressed I'm glad the younger kids know about Barry Gray music and the Thunderbirds
El autor es un genio y tiene mucho sentimiento y talento para adaptar la temática de la serie con la música apropiada! Gracias por el tiempo y felicidades a todos los músicos!
Waited 50 years to hear the main theme + Century 21 interlude + theme reprise + syncopated end section. Please redo with slightly tighter playing and I can die a happy man. Thank you a thousand times.
GREAT rendition! NO1 composes big grandiose and bombastic themes for sci-fi shows any more! Would love to hear, Star Trek themes (TOS & TNG) Lost in Space, AND The Prisoner! Be seeing you!
If the UK ever considers changing its national anthem, this has to be in with a shout, This or the Dambusters March
I think that 633 Squadron should also be strongly considered
Brilliant!
David how about the Space 1999 theme?
@@evanhill110 Could not agree more
Or the theme from Battle of Britain?
Barry Gray was such magnificent composer. A dynamic melody for a dynamic show.
Most small bands tend to completely screw the Thunderbirds score completely up. This band, however, have done an excellent job.

This is brilliant. Brings tears to my eyes. Childhood memories.
Thought it was only me who cried at this!
Brought a tear of joy to this old mans eyes...thank you... well performed
I agree!
I put this on and all the trees in the road tilted over at 45 degrees.Weird!!!
Type "Thunderbirds Travelcare" into the youtube search bar to see a great commercial themed to the show.

Brilliant! I'm 7 years old again
Thankyou Alfie for taking over 50 years off my age. The only surprise is the actual make up of the band, I was expecting just a strings section.
Oh my gosh. Still remembered. I have the box set and still watch it from time to time. Another one Fireball XL-5
Excellent! Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet were my favorites.
This is so good. All the way back to childhood with these fabulous theme tunes.

it has a bit of a Spanish paso doble beat to it halfway through - very nice!

I think the TV version ran a wee bit faster. But, hearing the theme from any of these shows always chokes me up.
Absolutely brilliant - so joyful and upbeat - well done to all involved - first class - thank you.
This is an amazing job Mr. Alfie Pugh. Thank you!
The best Barry Gray theme for the best Gerry and Sylvia Anderson creation. Thunderbirds are still going over fifty-five years later!
that was wonderful, thank you x
They never miss the beat they was right on time Barry Gray and Anderson would have been proud of them and I'm sure they are
