Nice Video. The first concern is a new controller is about 1500.00 from Precor. There are a few places that repair these controllers on eBay. And most people can't do component level soldering.
The authorized repair service charged $150 for a diagnostic (which is fine), and then wanted $1100 for this exact repair. Couple of handy folks at the office fixed it in 20 minutes for a $3 Capacitor and $7in tools...cant recommend this video enough
If you haven't already, make sure you check the dB resistor. If it is bad it could blow your now repaired ift drive again. It's easy here is a video I made on that. ruclips.net/video/l80CGEwChvE/видео.html

I’ve got error 28 on mine. I think it’s the fan. Doesn’t anyone know if their fans start upon turning on the treadmill or are they supposed to turn on based on temp.?
Glad the video was helpful. I believe you're wanting to know the capacitance rating of the capacitor? I will check tomorrow and let you know. Was the same capacitor swollen on your ift drive?
@@GrimRepair excellent and thanks for responding, apart from this error code that other tips you can use on treadmills that you can help me, I am in Colombia and it would be very useful for me, very grateful for your attention.

The last time I bought an ift drive I got it directly from precor. I belive it was about $700. That was probably about 7 years ago. Did you open yours up to see if it had any bad capacitors? Capacitors only cost $1.50.
Also before you install your ift back into the treadmill, you will want to check the d.b. resistor. Make sure it is good, or you may blow the ift drive again. Here is a video I made on how to do that. ruclips.net/video/l80CGEwChvE/видео.html
I believe I did have a clicking noise every 5-10 seconds. After you repair the ift drive you will also want to check the dB resistor it's that rectangular bar with 2 brown wires on each end. It isn't causing the treadmill not to work, but if it's bad it can damage the ift drive. I will be making a quick video on it probably today. I will try to upload it tonight, so stay tuned.

Hey Grim Repair. Great video. Getting errors 15 and 30. Checked DB resistance and looks good. Possible it's the capacitor, but the thing that is surprising for me is all the clicking in the background. Still consistent with capacitor? Also if I take to Precor Authorized deal, will they try to fix the capacitor for me or just try to get me to spend $700? If so, then I figure I should try myself first. Thoughts? I can also send a video.
Thank you. Precor will probably want to sell you a whole new computer. I would spend a few bucks on a capacitor. there is a link in the description. Mine was also clicking.

Hi, can you please write me? You are very handy, I need help with one treadmill. It throws error 30 and I dont know much what to do. Because it worked fine just before transport. Thank you :)
Well error 30 means the bottom half of the treadmill isn't able to communicate with the top half. Every time I have had error 30 it has been an issue with the ift. You could check the cat 5 cable that runs between the 2, if you took it apart to transport it it may have gotten pinched. Also make sure its plugged into the right port on the top half one is for the tv. Let me know what you find. Thanks for subscribing!
@@GrimRepair I tried that cable, put it out and back but it seems pretty OK. I switch it off and back but nothing happened. Can you also get me email or FB or other comunication please ?
It worked, I bought it today from a person who has it at home. We moved it by car and then taken to my gym. And after connection it puts on that ERR30. Cable looks alright. Can the moving of it damage some capacitor or something like that? It is the one more prehistorical than you have :)
@@Ravenstalk I would run a new cable from the ift to the upper board. You don't have to run it up the leg just to test it you can run it outside between the upper and lower.
@@Ravenstalk moving it could damage something if your not gentle. Did you disassemble it to move it? Have you opened up the ift and looked at the capacitors?

I am not sure if you can clear them all at once - I am away from the equipment at the moment - but if error 30 won't clear you have something wrong. Everything works on this treadmill I think it's just the camera making the display look that way, and the TV screen up top was turned off. Thanks for watching!
