My father, who is 88,has more life in him ( or love for life), than I have at 54.And I have more life inside me,than a 20 years old. What is happening with us? The Queen Mother, besides being ever gracious and storybook-like, was an extremely intelligent, perceptive lady. She had no expectation of being Queen and looked forward to a country life with her family. When the world turned upside down and she found she would be Queen she understood completely what her role must be and, with no hesitancy, assumed it. During World War II she proved a leading international figure in her resolute decision to remain with her husband and children in London, in the tours she took of bombed-out areas always looking elegant, and her talent in being able to talk with anyone anywhere and connect with them. What a champ!

How nice to see Margaret looking so good and healthy. Nobody would have dreamed on that day that she had very few good years left, I guess due to her heavy smoking. The Queen Mother smoked as well, right up until the end, but not heavily at all.

Once Queen Elizabeth goes how much longer will England carry on..the family is the tourist attraction with their history and Elizabeth is doing a great job. Her speech regarding the virus was short to the point and she reminded her country of the greats of England by a mere mention..we will meet again...the people responded with love and Vera Lynn did it again!!!
