Don’t know how I’m be like if they put vampire to rest… literally would be devastated like I was when bubble works was taken out 😩 childhood memories… vampire has to stay! Can’t imagine chessington without it
I know they’re going in a family park direction now , but speaking from my last experience this summer, they DESPERATELY need a major attraction with a *higher* through put. They put a fast pass on the buffalo/Viking coaster when it runs one train , I wouldn’t mind queueing all day if they had a coaster that became a talisman for the park , they need a coaster asap Also RIP Apocalypse , great vid guys
they need to look at Paultons and get coasters in the same style as they have to complement Thomas land much Paultons does with Peppa Pig world and the excellent dinosaur and USA themed areas
It’s a very sad time for UK enthusiast but the future is looking bright for Drayton Manor what ever they put on the land that apocalypse used to stand on. In my opinion apocalypse is the best UK drop tower. And is my second favourite drop tower after Falcons fury. Love the content keep it up. RIP apocalypse.😢
It truly is emotional to see our favorite rides come to an end. I know exactly how you feel. My home park (Six Flags Darien Lake) slowly has taken almost all of my childhood memories out of the park. I constantly am walking by these areas and telling my children about the rides that once stood there. The replacements, if any, never add up to what was once there…
Would love them to add a starflyer to the park as apocalypse was a big part of the skyline and it gave great views, starflyer would be a great much family orientated option which would keep the skyline 👍🏻
What a send off! I could see it meant a lot to you both and it’s a sad time. Not sure how I feel about Drayton turning family based but they should add another coaster
I saw you guys there that day i had a photo done with you guys by adventure cove. It's a shame apocalypse is going it will be missed. I love your videos btw 😀
Seeing how sad you both were at the end honestly broke me 🥺 least it’s had a good send off and many memories ! You will always have the videos to look back on 🥺💜
Really hoping for a Vekoma launch coaster but they definitely need something more thrilling. My oldest is only 10 but he wants more thrilling rides, being a family park should mean you cater for teenagers as well
So sad I never got to experience apocalypse, wanted to try and get down there this year but unfortunately couldn't. I really hope Drayton manor replace it with another thrill ride. Thank you for documenting and sharing this experience with those of us that couldn't make it ourselves ❤
Absolutely gutted as it’s my ultimate favourite ride, Drayton won’t be the same without it!! I think you may have videoed myself and my children going up on apocalypse that night as we were in the queue just before yourselves would love if you could send me the clip as it would be something great to show them when they are older!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide we look forward to watching it, my boys watch you all the time and have been waiting for this one today to see if we were on it, they checked as soon as they got in from school 😂 we have an annual pass drayton is our second home, we are there most weekends. So many childhood memories of Apocalypse! For me, Hurakan Condor is the only other drop tower that comes close to Apocalypse intensity. It'll be missed but I'm optimistic for the future of DM.
I was standing a few rows in front of u. Thank u again for having time for having a photo with my daughter. It’s sad that it’s going but since the looping taken over they added some great additions and I’m sure with the rumoured 2 Thomas land rides coming in 2023 and a thrill ride In 2024. Hopefully then they can sort out the pirate cove area and bring a new ride in the pirate adventure building for 2025 as I still think this is the most missed ride at the park.
Great Vlog as always Shawn and Charlotte, it’s a real shame that I didn’t get to experience Apocalypse l would’ve loved to experience it. It’s a big loss for the UK Theme Park Industry

I never rode Apocolypse but im excited for Gold Rush's opening day on Friday and its a new era for the Drayton Manor Resort!
Shawn and Charlotte. Coney Island had it's Iconic Parachute JUmp ride towering over the boardwalk. I was there after it had closed, but I competed in a 10 mile handicap race walk on the boards and passed it many times. Great vlog guys,I thought this was the dedicated vlog for apocalypse the amount of time you kept going on about it 😂 it just goes to show how passionate you are, pity another park didn't buy it
I'm so saddened at losing Apocalypse, I can remember every moment from my first terrifying ride on it and the unbearable weightlessness as we dropped like a stone. The only ride that was as scary every time you got on it. Was awesome to watch from a distance too and the views from the top will be sorely missed.
Your emotion was evident on the final ride of the Apocalypse. Going from five carriages to one and not repairing them meant it was unviable to keep it running. A real shame though as it was a fab drop tower.

It would be nice to see if the park could let you have permission to watch it go down but if not there is a Tamworth bridge to see as well. Just an idea. R.I.P apocalypse!
We have all got to say goodbye to every ride at some point. In twenty years we will probably not have shockwave, the big one, nemesis inferno, stealth, swarm, vampire, oblivion, smiler etc. We have to enjoy the rides whilst we can. R.I.P apocalypse, you will never be forgotten.
Such a sad time to see Apocalypse go. By far my favourite thrill ride in the country. It was a massive part of my childhood and I think sadly the park will never be the same without it.
I'm not as passionate about rides as you are, but i love heritage railway transport and its the same feeling when a loco is taken out of service for the final time. The consolation is at least the locomotive is put into a museum which isn't the case with theme park rides so it makes it even sadder. Even if they sold the ride on to someone, anyone else it would've been a better decision in my opinion. 😀👍A huge loss in the theme park world 🌎 😢
Another great video guys, so sad to see Apocalypse going as it was a great ride and like yourselves I have some great memories. Guess it's a sign of the times now at the park with more family rides. Sad day though I fully agree to lose an icon.
I know its sad to let something go, which is why if Chessington got rid of Vampire it would make me sad as its one of my favourite coasters in the country. But at the same time, I do think its had its time, think something new is needed in that location, would like to see something new in that location. Maybe a new Wooden GCI Family coaster? Was hoping if that happened, Vampire could be relocated to another part of the park? But well see what happens, doubt it will happen. But this attraction, even though at the moment I am terrified of heights. I would of love to have experienced this ride at Drayton Manor, but I am at the same time staying positive & wondering what's next? Hoping it will be a massive family coaster? Maybe & either themed around a new unique theme, IP Themed attraction or an extension to Viking Land & site for a new coaster for that land for maybe 2024 or 2025 season? But really good vlog, really amazing fireworks displays, MJ, Metallica "Master of Puppets" from Stranger Things, Blackpool and other parks along with other songs are getting a lot of royalties this year. Wow. But yeah, cheers again for this video, now going to watch Thorpe Park's Exodus approved video, will watch and leave a comment aswell. Cheers. 😀👍
My daughter and I were there on Tuesday and we got to ride Apocalypse twice, she had never ridden it before and she did Shockwave 4 times and loved it. My favourite ride was Thor. Very sad to see Apocalypse go but will be excited to see what goes in its place. Xx
I had seen you but I had to leave so I couldn't come over Edit: I remember the operator that day he was absolutely brilliant getting the vehicle out within seconds of the last one being unloaded I was very scared for it because I don't like drop towers but it was very good
Mine and my eldest's fav at the park. Let's see what we get in replacement. We couldn't get on the last time we went... On the Jubilee! Staff at the park had never seen it so busy! Managed 5 rides the whole day! Had to miss Apocalypse as the queues were huge for everything! Sad, sad ,sad!!! Xxx
Excellent video Charlotte and Shawn from Drayton Manor for the final day of the 2022 season. In this vlog, we capture the atmosphere throughout the park including footage from the final day of operation for Apocalypse. This iconic ride closed on the 30th of October 2022 after 22 years of operation. Along with that, we share highlights from the Halloween-themed firework spectacular along with footage from across the park! keep the good videos coming on the channel. I can't wait to see the next one on the channel.
Exodus HAS BEEN APPROVED! A sad day for drayton manor, but some good news to cheer everyone up. Also, are you going to SLKSTN unlocked? It looks really good
Hi Shawn I've been watching you for 3 years now and I went to Drayton manor 2 weeks before you did, I'm wondering what's happening to the flying dutchman
I spoke to a member of the team yesterday they said it isn't being removed from the park. However that doesn't mean it might not move location in the park...
I can't believe Apocalypse is gone never would believe it Drayton Manor has lost one of it's best (even though i didn't go on it a lot) and what had happened to Stormforce 10 I caught a glimpse of it on your vlog it wasn't running and yes their Fireworks may not be as spectacularly as Alton Towers but nevertheless exciting to watch So let's see what the park will be putting in place of Apocalypse in the future Great Video guys thx you
Storm force 10 and the other water ride were not running last November 2021, when i went. I'm guessing probably due to the weather conditions of coldish, wettish. etc.
@@Marts991 I know. I was just pointing out that it wasn't running this time last year as well and the other water ride. Thus, thinking they Drayton manor probably don't have those two rides operating once the weather starts to go colder and wetter.
Nice Vlog from Drayton Manor, never had the pleasure of going there or riding the legend apocalypse, sounds like I would of been a blast! I reckon I may be waiting till they develop the park a little bit more for a visit, would prefer to see a few more thrill rides. Thanks for the entertainment theme park worldwide.
Does anyone remember what the piece of music they used to play in the station was called? I remember it was a dramatic classical piece with a big choir over orchestra, but i just cant find it to listen to again. It was just excellent.
They did just overhaul Adventure Cove, maybe the park will check out Pipeline and see about B&M retracking it as a Surf Coaster. It sounds like Pipeline has a 54in height requirement, which might deter interest-but if the other two are getting retracked they would at least give the idea a chance before looking at a brand new experience
Its a shame i never got to go on apocalypse, but at least theres many rides for me to enjoy such as the haunting (my fav at the park and also the uk) and sherrifs showdown (nice theming but laser raiders is better)
Me and my sister went to drayton manor for the first time a few years ago apocalypse was our favourite ride of the day we always said we would go back and ride it wish we had now such a shame
I’m so glad I got on every side of this tower. I have stood in that line for hours feeling like I was being sent to my death. Really loved this ride such a huge mistake by the park I think it was a long time coming since they stopped maintaining it. the sit down side was good but just not the same as stand up. I miss the old rides like klondike gold mine and splash canyon. I really hope it gets replaced with something just as good 🤞🏽
I'm not a looping group fan, my home park and the one I grew up at is pleasurewood hills, which is a park that has felt very neglected for years (in my opinion). I think its been going downhill since around 2015, with the closure of rides like tales of the coast, hobs pit and fireball. It seems like they stopped caring after marble madness as that ride possibly didn't perform as well as they expected. The worst year was 2018 with most of the park feeling abandoned and the Rattlesnake just left SBNO, rusting away in pieces. Since then it has got better but from seeing your vlogs of other parks looping group own (west midlands safari park, bagatelle & drayton manor) pleasurewood hills still lacks any real theming or atmosphere in comparison. The recent additions have mainly consisted of colourful wooden sheds added on to old rides, and some new (very beautiful) food units at the front of the park. After Apocalypse gets its replacement whatever that may be, I would absolutely kill to see some money sent to PWH. It would be nice if they could refurbish some older rides, add theming around the whole park, maybe add a few new rides and buy another train for cannonball express (PLEASE)
Really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really sad that it has gone. It was my favourite ride at Drayton Manor. 😭😢😥. I love your videos and vlogs. Amazing and awesome vlog.
As you say complete wrong move for the park. As a thrill seeker there is now nothing attracting me for another visit. I fear this is the beginning of the end for what was once a fantastic park.

Great to see you!
It’ll be interesting to see what they do!
Great video per usual.
I really enjoyed meeting you there Shawn and Charlotte
Great to see you!
What do you think they'll replace Apocalypse with? A more modern drop tower perhaps?
Hopefully a major new coaster!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide Okay, I also hope that's the case. But in my opinion, an amusement park isn't an amusement park without a drop tower.
Its a shame i never got to go on apocalypse, but at least theres many rides for me to enjoy such as the haunting (my fav at the park and also the uk) and sherrifs showdown (nice theming but laser raiders is better)
Brilliant vlog
Me and my sister went to drayton manor for the first time a few years ago apocalypse was our favourite ride of the day we always said we would go back and ride it wish we had now such a shame
Sorry you are loosing one of your favourites Shawn but it was nice that they let you all say goodbye thankyou guys xx
I really hope it gets replaced with something just as good 🤞🏽
Thanks for sharing!
Let’s hope we see the park get some more investment!
Good bye for now to the best ride in Drayton manner. It will be missed greatly
Very sad day
It's a shame it's going it was a damn good ride, loved the standing drop.
31:50 was Charlotte crying, if so bless her heart!
A sad day!
Really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really sad that it has gone. It was my favourite ride at Drayton Manor. 😭😢😥.
I love your videos and vlogs. Amazing and awesome vlog.
Thanks for watching!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide I am a really big fan of you.
Carl Orf's Carmina Burana (the classical bit during the fireworks) is such an epic piece of music.
It sure is!
AKA The Old Spice Music!! ;-)
As you say complete wrong move for the park. As a thrill seeker there is now nothing attracting me for another visit. I fear this is the beginning of the end for what was once a fantastic park.
It’ll be missed!
