Ryan is using a weapons mod for this. Normal minecraft doesn't have aircraft or firearms.

p-51s in minecraft is a mod. minecraft by default doesn't have any singular entity like an airplane. the only vehicles available in minecraft are rail carts and boats. you can make a block structure that "flies" using redstone, slime, and various tech blocks. but it would only be capable of going in one or possibly two directions.
or, much more complicated to construct, such as some of the honey-slime block machines Mumbo Jumbo's designed

@@CALndStuff well, your right in that it doesn't exactly turn, but I was talking about the omnidirectional design he developed in some of his early experimentation with honey blocks, and from that video, essentially the only part that was _slow_ was changing directions, as you had to stop it and then start it in the new direction

All those military equipment were mods, not actually part of the base game
To help clear things. Regular or Vanilla Minecraft doesn't actually have guns, fighter planes, or ect. Those guns and planes are a part of a mod which players download into Minecraft
Hey Mr. Paul! I don`t know if you liked it, but I... somewhat enjoyed this video! Honestly all of the modern techology is really out of place in minecraft, and doesn`t really belong there. Minecraft is incredibly vast with things to do, great for conducting experiments. And since there are many of those types of videos out there, and I want to make sure you get to know about some really well made projects, if you plan on reacting to something like this again (but better), I would personally reccommend watching "200 Players Build A MASSIVE Civilization in Minecraft", by Ish. It is extremely well made, and stuff like civil wars and geo-politics play a big role there. I think it is much better than this video, and I would love if you made a video about it!

Yes it has but only as mods.
Most of those challenges use them to spice up the gameplay or to be more accurate to what they want to potrate in the video. (I remember how I back in 2015 didn't knew this too and tried to craft a plane in vanilla 1.2.5 minecraft and was super upsed about that)
I suggest to try play minecraft. It will help you by getting a context about the game and better apply your combat experience.

Edit: Ok so yeah if you are confused technologically, then yeah you should be. The planes and the guns and every other things that looked non vanilla are just mods.
10:34 also havent finished the vid yet but that black structure is a nether portal so its possible thats just an entrance for their main base that is either somewhere in the nether an alternate dimension or they are using the nether as a means to get to that base which could potentially be much farther away

I think you would enjoy the rest of RyanNotBryan's Minecraft War videos too. This one keeps going. You should also check out Sword4000's Minecraft War video. It has a lot of fighting and looks like an actual war with deception,infiltrations and bombing runs while trying to beat a more powerful enemy.

Also, as I’ve seen in the comments plenty of times already, this is moded, vanilla Minecraft has two hand-held ranged options, the bow and crossbow, with no directly controllable flying machine.

You should check out more of Ryan’s content, he does a lot of things that can be analyzed with your knowledge of combat tactics, his war series, his civilization series, heck, even his zombie series
There was probably a no teaming rule in place
A full day/night cycle is 20 minutes.
It seems nonsensical when you hear that and haven't played the game, but its useful in game as night/day time play is different and it keeps the momentum of the game going well to have it be so short.
The reason there are m4's and planes are because of mods that add extra to minecraft. guns and planes are not apart of the main game

most of the war equipment used in the video including the M4 or the P51 are modifications that the war server's host made to the game and do not exist in the actual version of the game
Just in case anyone thinks they're playing for actual hundreds of days, they aren't. 100 days in Minecraft last around 30 hours in real time

this is modded minecraft, but in vanilla, there are quite a few ways to create ranged weapons, e.g. bows, crossbows, (which can be loaded with firework charges, making them explosive and do significant damage) remotely activated traps, and, in some cases, tnt cannons.
The weapons and bombers are a Mod, I dont know if you figured that out already but when it comes to minecraft there are probably thousands of mods adding strange and interesting things to it.
Honeatly, id suggest watching more ryan videos he does really good comentarh and it really sometimes it puts emotional damage in mind

I think the best one of these for you to comment on would be sword4000's Minecraft war videos, they probably have the most you can commentate on and imo are more realistic than a lot of the others with fire support , fobs, pow's and shifting front lines. There are even false flag attacks and diolomacy

I suggest watching some of the Fallout videos from a RUclipsr called RadKing. He does breakdowns on various items and assets of Fallout, such as guns, vehicles, and enemies, and tries to find real world or fictional inspirations

The game here they are using mods. That add guns and other modern tech. Also the map they are using has a world boarder that limits the world size to force engagement. Also it is a survival game, so they must destroy each other alliances do not exist in these game modes.
The guns and planes are actually a mod pack, they’re not part of normal minecraft.

You're saying how in minecraft you cant really run out of resources but you can, if players die trying to get into your base then they lose their stuff and you can even take it. also, if the opponent manages to get away with their resources then they could still lose things like arrows, potions, end crystals (a type of powerful explosive used in combat), obsidian (you can only place end crystals on obsidian or bedrock), respawn anchors (another type of explosive used to gain low ground which is required for close quarters combat with end crystals). And while you can easily mend armour with the mending enchantment afterwards if it breaks in the heat of the battle its gone forever.

Mods for guns and planes. Normally, best you get are crossbows and whatever you can put together with redstone.

They are using mods, some add more modern guns other add guns and vehicles from the second world war (like the p-51) or things from games like Fallout, like that large vault door
All the "advanced" technology and guns comes from mods
Hey mate, got a recommendation for something similar to this, you should check out stoneworks videos, they're based on a Minecraft server all about worldbuilding by the same name, there's plenty of conflict and story going on all the time

Thoes guns and military tech are mods downloadable assets that you can add to your normal game as guns are not normally in minecraft
