Why is an arabic grammar being taught in English. Why not in Arabic itself. I dont understand. In my opinion explanation in Arabic would have helped the students to learn more from listening to the language. I also think this method is what is called Grammar Translation Method (GMT), which was used to learn dead language such as latin.
With all due respect, this isn’t true. Grammar can be taught within the language or. Outside the language, as long as if you learn outside, you relearn it within the language. And it’s best this way for perfection and to increase speed in being able to get benefits from the language early on.

I am against learning Arabic grammar using English or English grammar using Arabic. If you read about Second Language Acquistion experts you will know this is wrong. This produces students who are experts in grammar but cannot express themselves in the language.

Because someone who is anonymous is included in the termفاسق in the famous ayah of Allah. And your Belief isn’t supported here either, as we know to teach Arabic grammar in Arabic you would need to learn parts of Arabic. Which will need to be taught in English at one point. You cause a loophole. Unless you are a child who can take up context fast and hear statements repeatedly your method is flawed. Whereas learning it in English could make learning vocabulary, making up statements and writing and speaking easier. As this isn’t all of grammar it is the basics. If you said this about الفية بن مالك you would be right and the works just before it. But not here.
