Great seeing you catch Cats on the Illinois. I live near Peoria and go out of Spindler Marina with a pontoon. I'm having a tough time finding the Cats. I am sure I am not doing it right. trying to drift fish around 0.5 - 1 mph with chicken. Looks like you are sitting anchored. Can you suggest any good spots from the Pekin Dam up to Chillichothe? Also do you fish the edge of the channel or other? I would appreciate any good suggestions to help me out.
I'm not familiar with that area up there , but go early in the morning right at day break or little earlier and fish shallow they go up shallow to feed I prefer Triple S Cheese bait STINKBAIT

That triple "S" catfish dip bait is the best for channel cats. I use it in the Kankakee and Iroquois rivers. Nice fish. New sub
