I am surprised how they haven't reached the charts. Their Harry Styles cover for 'Golden' is better than the original.
They got signed to Columbia Records so now they’ll be writing tracks with the most prominent producers. They see this is the vibe of the 2020s. Kavinsky, Electric Youth, Chromatics and some others all created this sound a little over a decade ago. Never dreamed it would be a direct influence on mainstream pop. Truly a revolution.

Apparently this band has been around for a while. How have I not heard of them. This is my favorite genre of music.
Out of curiosity what genre would this classify as? I feel like i'd describe it as neo synth-pop but idk if that's a thing.
This genre is called synthwave and it’s been blossoming since the early 2010s with films like ‘Drive’ and TV series like ‘Stranger Things’ bringing back an 80s vibe. Modern pop basically takes its inspiration from this. Here are the top synthwave tracks right now.

"The Cars" with Rick Ocasek was one of my favorite 80's bands. Check it out, very similar vibe back then..."Tonight"song for example.

For the love of The Universe, Cannons needs way more views and support. They take classic sounds and make them unique and fresh. Clapham and Davis create amazing music while Joy delivers ethereal voicals. Unfortunately they broke into the mainstream during the late-2020 pandemic, which I think slowed knowledge about them. They've been my fav band since I discovered them months ago. They definitely deserve more.
It bums me out to see these guys havent gotten bigger than they are right now, their stuff easily beats a lot of music out there today. Can't believe I haven't heard their music before these past few months.

I love this band and their musicality and vibe. Unfortunately for me the vocal on this track gets lost in the mixing. I love the acoustic, dreamy voice of this singer and this track would be so much better if her vocal was more forward and above the mix. But it’s catchy just difficult at times understand the words
