The music style whilst Karl is greasing. 🤣😂🤣 Concious choice or funny coincidence 🤣 Hubby was giggling that it is like music from a 'certain style' of 70s movie.
Oh yes Karl, without maintenance, you often remain outside and just where you can not use it. I can only say that when we converted all our vehicles to balloon tires, many problems solved themselves. You just have to adjust the tire pressure according to the situation. It was the same up on the Bering Strait, in the Asian bush and in South America, where conditions were similar to yours. Best regards from Frankfurt, nice video and greet job.
Hi Gerold, I always do all the maintenance/servicing that is required and do any other repairs that are needed. We are glad you enjoyed the video. Regards, karl & katty.
A few things if you'll indulge me : a) If you go through Sarina you need to stop at the Sarina Motel for either egg and bacon breakfast (all day) or pork chops for dinner. The owners have their own free range organic pigs. Really good bacon and pork. The Sarina motel is in the middle of town. You can park outside. b) I see you've found the easy way to mount a tyre without wrecking your back. I have a 3 foot Podger bar I use the same way you use the shovel. Why hurt yourself ? So much easier with a tool and some knowledge. Being on a station in SW Qld I also use the same technique for tractor and truck wheels. c) Your Isuzu has the same as my Deutz tractor. The wheels don't centre on the hub. A bit of a pain but you get used to it. It's not like a landcruiser. I hope you understand my 3 points. Cheers. :-)
Hi Joey, It is very easy to service, as you just need to change the oil ( no filter). I do it every service ( 15k km) even though Isuzu recommends every 60k km. It takes less than 5l of fluid. I may be able to film we I do our next service 👍
@@nowhereboundtouring also just thinking would it be a good idea drill a hole in the centre of them plate you took off to grease the king pins and thread in grease nipples maybe
Im really loving your videos because your showing the viewers such simple jobs they can do yourself. ❤ No mechanic here, however have you thought about mounting some grease nipples at the top and bottom so you can flush out most of the old grease?
thanks, all excellent info. I was wondering for a while how to grease them. 2x4 have nipples. Shovel lift, anti seize, thin 17 nut, will check this ahead, hope my nut fits. Greetings from a single cap SLRV Adventurer

Hi Rachel,
I had to re-listen to check, and yes it does sound like that 😉.

You would think Karl that the manufacturer would drill a hole in the plates then tap a thread for a grease nipple?
Hi Ken,
I was thinking about doing that……
@@nowhereboundtouring it should work. If bottom plate cheap (ha ha) purchase and test. Dust cap for grease nipple as well. Cheers Ken
👍
Karl great work
cheers mate 👍 🇦🇺 happy Australia Day

Yes, I was also thinking that 👍
Hi mate, always appreciate your vids - where did you access the tapered wheel studs please?
Hi Daniel,
They are produced by All Terrain Warriors in Yandina QLD.
Cheers

I did think of that, but the metal is about 25 mm thick. It could be done though.
Cheers
