    Abstract:
    The Railway Track Fault Detection System is designed to detect cracks or breaks in railway tracks using an ultrasonic sensor. The system employs a robotic vehicle that automatically stops upon detecting a fault and sends an alert message to the user or concerned department through a GSM module. This system enhances railway safety by identifying faults early and reducing the risk of accidents.
    Introduction:
    Railway safety is critical for preventing accidents and ensuring smooth operations. Cracks or breaks in railway tracks can cause derailments, leading to significant losses in lives and property. This project aims to provide an automated solution using a robotic vehicle equipped with an ultrasonic sensor, Arduino Uno microcontroller, relay module, and GSM module to detect track faults and alert authorities in real time.
    Components Used:
    Ultrasonic Sensor: Detects cracks or breaks in the railway track.
    Arduino Uno: Acts as the central microcontroller, processing the sensor signals and controlling the system.
    Relay Module: Operates to stop the robotic vehicle when a fault is detected.
    10 RPM Motors & Wheels: Drive the robotic vehicle along the railway track for continuous monitoring.
    Chassis: Provides the base structure for mounting the motors and sensor.
    GSM Module: Sends an alert message to the user or concerned department when a fault is detected.
    Working Principle:
    The ultrasonic sensor is mounted on the robotic vehicle, which moves along the railway track. It continuously scans the track for any cracks or breaks. Upon detecting a fault, the sensor sends a signal to the Arduino Uno, which processes the data. The Arduino then triggers the relay module to stop the vehicle instantly. Simultaneously, the GSM module is activated to send a text message to the concerned department, ensuring that immediate attention is given to repair the track.
    System Workflow:
    1. The robotic vehicle moves along the railway track.
    2. The ultrasonic sensor scans the track for faults.
    3. When a fault is detected, the sensor sends a signal to the Arduino Uno.
    4. The Arduino activates the relay module to stop the vehicle.
    5. The GSM module sends an alert message to the user or department.
    Advantages:
    Early detection of track faults prevents derailments and accidents.
    Real-time notification ensures immediate response from railway authorities.
    The system operates autonomously, requiring minimal human intervention.
    Applications:

    Ultrasonic sensor is used to detect the distance some times radar... But cracks found on railway tracks as very small so practically may be it will not work... 🤔
