As an American Pat Tillman is a true American hero! He gave his life for his country. ❤❤ His Mother needs to be heard.
So this is like the fourth award he’s magically been awarded over the past couple of years? Everything he’s involved with seems questionable and self-serving. It doesn’t seem like he fully understands how damaged his reputation has become.
Pat Tillman’s mom should have a say on who gets the award. Totally agree with regular people should get award.

Pat Tillman left a $3 Million dollar NFL contract to serve his country which ultimately cost him his life. Harry left his life of service to make Millions and feed his endless greed. He is the least deserving person for this honor. The disrespect that both Harry and ESPN has shown Pat Tillman's family by disregarding their wishes is abhorrent. I urge his family to cut all ties with the ESPY's and demand the award be retired. I implore everyone to sign the petition.
I'm glad Tillman's mother spoke up. Their are people who most definitely are deserving of the Tillman award, and it's definitely not Harry.

I checked out the Pat Tillman Foundation website. The foundation is run by his widow Marie. His mother does not have any position at the foundation. His widow Marie has since remarried. The fact that Pat’s mother, Mary, spoke up so boldly tells me a lot about her character and knowledge about what is going on in the world today. The two words she used to describe Harry, controversial and divisive, speaks volumes. She was measured but blunt. As a mother, I will say with boldness “Don’t mess with my son’s reputation and memory!” I believe she is heartbroken over this tragic decision. In the coming days we will learn a lot about Harry’s character. Will he accept the award. Will he attend the awards in person. Will he send a prerecorded speech. Will he accept this award not for himself, but for all of the veterans and current military who serve our country so we may continue to live out the dream of our forefathers for a republic, of the people, by the people and for the people. Harry, you do not deserve an award that has any connection to our country or our military.
What both Harry and Meghan lack is the capability of feeling "gratitude." I am retirement age, but i still have to work to pay my bills, and some months, it's a stretch. I refuse to depend on my kids or the government until i am not able to be active and work. But i feel grateful for so many things that i do have such as. My daughter and granddaughter, i have good health, a job i love, a wonderful, loving extended family, good friends, and other things that make my day every day. That is what is so distasteful about the Sussex they have more than 99% of the worlds population, yet they complain and want more. I am so fed up with both of them. The more they play victims, the fewer people like them.
Please stop calling Harry a founder. He is a patron, which is different. The award should not be going to Harry the individual, but it should go to Invictus the organization itself.

Princess Catherine is so strong as his sister in law. She pulled herself together and showed the world how beautiful and worth the Princess of Wales title during trooping the colours.
I think that if Diana were alive, she would have realised that referring to her younger son as the spare and allowing him to run riot was not necessarily a great idea.
It was Elton John and the "Hacked off" that wanted Hazza involved as the "canary in the mine shaft", and now a lot if not most have settled. Elton and Sherbourn realised that Hazza was stupid and would fall I to their way of thinking.
To be honest, I would be surprised if Sherbourne has convinced the dime store duke that these legal cases won't cost him a penny, he's as slippery as an eel and Hazza would believe anything he said. I very much doubt if he said "this could cost you a million or two, and that's without my costs".
No, Harry doesn't deserve the Tillman award. Pat was an awesome player and a very upstanding young man. After the 9/11 attacks, he was motivated to leave his promising and high dollar football career to join the armed forces to fight for his country. Pat is still a remembered and honored for his sacrifice. If Diana had lived, who knows what William and Harry would be like. Her death had life-changing effects on the men they became but I doubt there would be the division there is now.

Shortly after Harry arrived in this country he said, "I don't know much about it, but the 1st amendment is bonkers". Just to remind you, the 1st amendment is part of the Bill of Rights of the American Constitution. Pat Tillman died fighting to protect that Constitution, Bill of Rights and the 1st Amendment. I have no objection to a non-American receiving the Pat Tillman award if they respect America, it's laws, Constitution, and culture. Harry Mountbatten-Windsor does not and continually demonstrate complete contempt for this country. The award should be rescinded, and Harry deported.

As a proud mother of two Marines, both of whom served several tours in the middle east and both of whom are now medically retired from injuries received while on active duty, I feel that Harry receiving this award is just a slap in the face to those more deserving. Unlike Harry, Pat Tillman wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth and didn't have anything handled to him on a silver platter!! Mary Tillmans opinion matters and should be honored and respected. The legacy of her son is all she has.

I don't agree with Prince Harry getting the award. He has not been true to the Monachy, especially the late Queen Elizabeth, and now tries to make money for himself with all that he does. I believe that there are more worthy people for it.
Pat Tillman's mother is absolutely right. Harry has no business accepting this award. As Shauna, another Podcaster, has said. Give the award to the Invictus organization itself but not to a petulant, spoiled, privileged man who will not appreciate the significance of this award.

I think Diana would be appalled at the way Harry is acting right now. I also think she would be appalled by what he has said about Camlla. Diana would not be best friends with Camilla but she would not let her boy treat her with disdain like Harry is doing. Before Diana died she and Charles were in a good spot in their lives with each other. Harry just needs to grow up.

I enjoy seeing your fake jewels as for some strange reason they look good on you. For historical reasons, these are made to show the real thing that most of us would never see, and in doing so, we can see also who wore it and when. I love this so very much. There are alot of jewels out in the vaults that have never been seen and in years. I WOULD love to see more of those too. So happy for our Princess Royal and that she's home now. HAPPY CANADA DAY also as Diana was born on Canada day. We loved her on tour when she did visit us and on this day and her birthday. It was a wonderful summer day and her dress was lovely on that day. I went to see her and take pictures. She was in Edmonton Alberta on tour with Charles in her early days.Don't forget that Diana may have come from aristocracy but...she has more royal ENGLISH blood then the current royals have. She demands respect.

ESPN just put out a statement, basically saying Prince Harry deserves the award because of Invictus. They also basically said, that Pat Tillman's mother, has no say so, in the decisions that ESPN makes🤭. Pat Tillman's WIFE has come out in SUPPORT of Prince Harry. So yeah, that award is going on Prince Harry's shelf, in Montecito

I imagine Harry, Meghan and their PR firm think a few positive PR moves involving a charity or a worthy cause like Invictus will change people’s mind when the focus will inevitably turn to the RF and people see them just consistently doing the work H$M pretend to care about. The Duke of Windsorwrote an autobiography not long after he abdicated and did a TV interview in the late 60s/ early 70s. Harry has been allowed to get away with so much in the past that I still dont think he realises that now he is out of the RF and away from the palace things wont be covered up and/or handed to him. For example he never had the qualifications to go to Eton nor to the Army Officer training but was allowed to because he was Prince Harry so I think he truly feels that he doesnt need evidence and the truth is irrelevant as it never affected him in the past. What he says goes! Thats why he persists in this security case. He cant get it through his thick skull that he now has to abide by a lot of the rules those outside the RF do.
If Diana had lived, it's possible William might not have met Catherine or have been nixed by Diana for some reason. KC III may not have been able to marry QC. Too much may have been altered that has turned out to be for the best!

According to Wikipedia, (which I’m always a bit cautious about trusting hence my question), the process is that the ESPY nominating committee choose the nominees, but the winner is decided by public vote. If the winner is chosen by public vote, then I’m not sure what a petition would achieve.
