Granblue fantasy is a very fun game but i can see that it might not fit everyone’s taste. As someone who is clueless about this game and franchise, I want videos that can help understand it from the beginning, to be honest I still don't care about any single character except Belial, so far I'm liking everything about him, even his voice actor in Japanese is actually one of my favorite seiyuus. From reading comments on different videos. I understood that the storyline got dark all of a sudden, I want to know what was the story before so far, and a general idea about the characters. So I can really feel the shift in the atmosphere when it gets dark. So I don't want just to read a summary, I want to watch playthroughs to get a feeling for the characters and the mood, but I'm afraid my excitement will die out soon, as I don't think there will be any character like Belial in the beginning chapters. Specially that I'm excited for him NOW. Do you recommend reading the Manga or the novels instead? Are they as good as the games??
@@icescafe6136 Belial's seiyuu is amazing, perfect to portray Belial as he is! That said, i think the comments are refering to the story event : What Makes The Sky Blue. That is the anniversary story that Belial and others got introduced/involved in, and that did infact have quite a dark tone to it at times. Luckily the story event has been uploaded on youtube multiple times so everyone can watch it at a later time! Its my key recommendation story to anyone who hasn't been to much in to granblue yet/are looking to know more. To make it easier i'll link you a video that should bring you to a channel/video playlist that covered part 1 to 3. If you want to read it instead, then check the gbf wiki links i'll provide in the comment for you aswell, tho i definitely recommend looking at it through a youtube video as the VA does a great job in the storytelling, making it feel dark and giving you a feel for the story! And to reassure you, yes their might not be an EXACT Belial, but there are definitely characters that are just as dark/villainous, or generally as interesting as him. Beelzebub is a very good example of this, as he is heavily related to the What Makes The Sky Blue series and spends a lot of time with Belial in the story. Granblue has a ton to offer, so don't fear the excitement leaving anytime soon as long as you look at the right places! Personally i've been planning covering the lore of a good chunk of characters in granblue, so if you want to know more about characters i guess i could recommend staying around the channel to learn more as i work on them! The manga sadly ends somewhere pretty early in the main story line of granblue, so it would be a fun read but does not come close to the time period were characters like Belial get to introduce themselves. The novels i sadly have no idea on how those are, as i haven't read them/didn't know those were around as i got all my information from the game itself. If i have to recommend anything, it would still come down to playing the game if your goal is to learn as much as you can about characters you like, youtube doesn't have everything available, and its hard to find what you like/dislike when it comes to characters you aren't aware of yet. The anime for Granblue is a fun watch, tho not as good in story telling as the main game is. If you strongly feel like not playing the game, i'd recommend watching the anime (short seasons) and reading the story events through the granblue wiki, as the granblue wiki has pretty much all the information you could want! In my previous video i talked more about the characters surrounding Belial, and talked about the story event more. I think that should create some interest for you in other characters, as i think you'll like beelzebub for sure! hey you're Belial videos are real neat & informative! I play gbf on & off, but videos like these make for a good refresh. Plus I learned some stuff about Belial's name. Hope you get to make more videos like these regarding Anagenesis, the first time you see it is when you fight Belial in Paradise Lost. (I remember bc I grinded the raids for the trophies) I think Belial having this attack is tied to his past, before he started calling himself a fallen angel? If I remember right, Cilius was studying evolution. Lucifer was created as supreme primarch w/ the job of watching over the evolution of the skies. But in the 000 event, we learn Belial & Lucifer were created at the same time. I think Lucifer even says that their roles aren't all that different? So there's the connection between Belial & evolution. One last thing, when you read Belial's description in gbf it says "he presided over cunning-- one facet of the evolution of knowledge" and that sounds important.

It seems people like this type of content, so im definitely looking forward to make some more! Your description/facts on anagenesis is very sound. I must admit that the story event and the lore does get slightly tricky to keep up with considering how much detail/thought has been put in to it, and how deep the story goes, so an oversight like this was something i was afraid of but felt like was inevitable, as the stories on the WMTSB cast/story itself isn’t available in a form like, lets say a fate episode. This means i have to read and click through all of WMTSB again, making it a bit messy at times. Belial did infact use anagenesis in the raid, which i believe was a trigger at like 50 or 30% HP! The link between the ‘creation’ part of this story has been explained in your comment very well and something i’ll keep in pocket for my next video, breaking down his trailer. I’ll make sure to shout you out in it too if you don’t mind. I recall Lucifer being adamant on dropping the formalities between him and Belial too now that you mentioned it, which Belial refused as it would lessen the discipline between the ranks if i recall right. Like i said in the video, i really enjoy reading about GBF/the characters, so having such a well thought out/written comment fly by is rare and i wanted to thank you for your time writing it out and sharing it under my video! These videos were mainly aimed at the GBVS players who aren’t aware of the world of GBF yet, but i think after reading your comment even for us who play GBF (semi) frequently can get caught up with lore too, as it gets overwhelming at times to keep track of everything. She's my best girl & I'm only missing her halloween ssr at the moment. One last thing about Belial & anagenesis. Something I thought of after thinking over the definition you brought up in the video. Maybe the devs picked that term to be like a metaphor for the split that happens between angels & fallen angels? Since Belial was involved in getting angels to join his & Cilius side, like with Sariel. Not sure how well that works, but it's a thought.

I personally haven't played the GBVS campaign as i spend my time competing in it instead. The game is great and i highly recommend it! There is some amazing love put in to it, and its definitely my favorite game out atm. Its accessible even for those who aren't people who play fighting games like that and the rpg mode and such is a good reason to get it aswell if that interests you more. Im set on making videos for the rest of the cast, so that will come on the channel soon! Funny that you mention cagliostro, as i was deciding wether i should make a lore video on her first compared to some others haha! I don't have her on my gbf account outside 1 i believe, so i might need to take you up on the fate episodes! Vira is my girl along with Alexiel, luckily i can say i have all versions for both of them but they aren't in GBVS yet.. (please cygames, bring them soon) And about the anagenesis thought, i think it could definitely work that way. As we know Belial, he is still quite a character we haven't fully figured out yet, i think thats also part of his big appeal, being as mysterious as he is at times. It could very well be any of the theories we discussed here, but i think ultimately we will never completely find the answer since they probably want to keep him mysterious, allowing us to theorize some more. (Which is great fun!) Knowing the gbf team, it could be really deep, or just something with no meaning at all haha :)
Probably the genesis and its infinity stone to careful manipulate ones godhood or therof... think about it very carefully and study it even you could do anything if you new enough from just being around new material composites especially if you knew how matched it can be for his or her follow through.
I’m loving GranBlue Versus, and I can’t wait for Relink. As for the characters based off of biblical or other things. It can seem cool as you say then on the other hand it can seem like a cheap thing because they cannot think of anything new. Grab Blue and many other games always take bits and pieces. Some stories more than others, but if I can say anything, read the Bible for yourself. It’s the best story out there. Notice there is always the devil or Lucifer or a great evil. But they do anything with Jesus or God. That’s why they have to be gone, or non existent. Anyway cool video man. I’m definitely looking forward to Relink.
