Alive and moving
Closer than before
Slowly breathing
Under the floor
Give me all your attention
So I can feed
You made me real
And that’s all I need
I continue to feel
Knowing that I’ll rot
If I was in pain
Would you make it all stop?
A hybrid of hell
Did you know?
You are the inferno
I hear deafening voices
Coming from me
Given the power
To control what I see
What I am inside
This flesh is turning blue
Carry shards of broken hearts for you
Fall with me
Into what never ends
No light in our descent
Save yourself and run
I’m under your bed
I’m in your hair
I’m in your lungs
When you need some air
Don’t breathe
I’ll find you
I hear deafening voices
Coming from me
Given the power
To control what I see
What I am inside
This flesh is turning blue
Carry shards of broken hearts for you
Don’t let me close
Don’t let me close

If you listen to smaller bands, doesn't matter if they are signed to huge labels or not, if they aren't huge pulling in stadium sized concerts, it almost seems like the music they produce is better. Not to say that I don't want people to be successful, because I would only hope the best for musicians, especially metal musicians, in this day and age of rap and post-production music. It just seems that these smaller, not well known bands put more of their heart and soul into the music, you can sometimes feel it in the music. Thanks for reading, hope you are having a good day!
I think that, no matter if a band or an artist is big, you can feel if the message is true by feeling its vibe as you told. This band has moved away from the 'core' scene and made heavy music as they felt it. I simply love this album. It doesn't sound like any other band like Fit For a King or any of those other bands. They sound just like Thornhill.
@@NicolasxMenendez That's true. I have since making the comment continued to listen to the album pretty much to this day. Along with expanding my taste in music from outside the core scene into other groups that I don't really know where to fit them in.
These guys are something else. Best guitar tones in the world. Incredibly talented drummer and the vocals hit home. Truely something special
you have gud day or big bubba gonna hug ya
@@boiledpizza4137 yeah yeah yeah
they know perfectly how to balance the heavy with melodic parts
This is so true, it's fucking awesome. Killer song.
Jacob's voice has really gotten better over the years.
The guitars are on another levels on this song... Holy
Jesus this takes me back to when I first discovered Singularity by Northlane, so much passion with disregard to attaining as much popularity and radio presence as possible. Very very solid track, cant wait for the album.
Been waiting for this for too long, the boys haven’t disappointed
Joe Newman And they never will
Everybody talking bout how dope the vocalist is and I get it. But can we appreciate how gnarly these riffs are. 🤤
It’s taken 7 months, but I’m here with you, the groove of the guitar work is just as impressive as the vocals
Rarely do bands actually pull it off but they constructed this song excellently.
Thornhill, Polaris, Bad Omens stand out to me in the third wave of metalcore
I have finally crossed Polaris off my list. Thornhill could be next I have a free ticket thanks to Invent Animate
Have a listen to Loathe if you haven’t already mate, got some bangers
this vocalist is ridiculously talented... he sounds different in every song
ruclips.net/video/gJUnbljw9Rk/видео.html
Sounds the same to me. Good but the same
Are you talking about the singing or screaming? I don’t get it.
As soon as I hear his voice I think Thornhill
Absolutely. He has so much texture in his tone. And quite the range honestly
This has been mixed beautifully vocals so fuckn clear massive chugs, big bangs great fuckn work guys love it.
this has absolutely no right being as good as it is
Going by their last EP I have to disagree, we knew that it would be a banger.
2:25 it gave me butterflies in my stomach
Best part. I always go back to it.
They're the beast heavy and melodic metalcore band at the same time lol
Deftones feel
Honestly though.. instruments and vocals aside, this is technical song writing. Sounds amazing, the boys don’t disappoint.
Austin Reeves wait... But if you take away the vocals and instruments what's left of the song? 😅
Tyler McBeth composing
Perfect example of a perfect song. You guys are absolutely insane.
These guys are seriously so good. I can’t even stand it.
THIS SONG SLAPS W HEADPHONES
Big facts
Is that a rip in space time created by the sheer mass of this track? Damn. 🤘🔥🤘
Northlane and Prada influences are hitting me hard. BANGER 11/10.
This song is one of the best if not the best song ever made. I’m happy with dying now that I got too witness the ultimate masterpiece of our lives. ♥️♥️
What water are Australians drinking to get this good???¿¿¿
VB mate
dont know what their drinkin but i guarantee their eating Vegemite haha
The tears of America 🔥🔥😈
@@floydberg9909 you bet me to it XD
@@floydberg9909 100%
Wow! This shit SLAPS! I love the sound of the harsh vocals, they've improved a lot.
big time slapper
Agreed.
Coming back to the dark pool after listening to Heroine. If I didn't know any better I would've thought they were 2 different bands!
I would love if they would release all their music in an instrumental album.
I wasn't sure if I liked the way he sung at first but this is becoming one of my favorite bands lately. This song slaps! Gonna see em live with northlane this year! Woo
Vermont boys absolutely smashing this
I'm wigging out right now. He's like a mixture between Marcus Bridge and Adrian Fitapaldes. O.o
fuckinoath
Thornhill is back baby!
Butterfly was simply unreal, came here to re watch some old bangers, found this. See you guys at the end of the month. These guys are gona be biiiiiiiigggggg
This is next level guys, it's gonna be hard to wait until the album !
These boys gonna blow up big time.
i am absolutely loving these guys' sound right about now! the harsh vocals from Jacob are great, but i think his cleans are getting almost hypnotic, like at the 2:11 and 2:57 marks. and the last :30 are some of the punchiest guitars i've heard since i found Void of Vision a couple months back! two insane Aussie bands that i wish would come to the US sometime! 👊💥
I'm happy to hear someone from the US praising our music! Australia's metal scene is awesome right now and this album is the best ive heard in years!
@@kalesmart1 yes, you have good band from Australia. We have only "Jinger" like most popular group.
@@kalesmart1you guys have the best music scene rn
This song is too good
I love the merge of 13 EP and Butterfly, this beasts absolutely reach their sweet spot. Waiting for more.
This goes as dummy hard as the EP, so very glad to hear
can barely stand it to wait for more
am i the only one who gets monuments vibes so hard? i mean not in a bad way but for me thornhill have a such a unique sound, i want them to maintain that sound.
coach ebi origin of escape? That's what it immediately reminded me of
@@__somnii yea dude i meant origin of escape
Thank you, you brought me to monuments and now I'm addicted
Do I smell some Doom (2016) inspiration from the amazing aussie Mick Gordon? the breakdown and intro sounds a bit like one of the main doom riffs.
cannot be unheard!!
It's definitely got that djent tone going on that Mick popularized. You see the same influence in Northlane's latest. Downtuned, high gain, dirty tone. So good.
This is great! Never heard of them before. Definitely coming back to this!
i am 100% for this. damn
absolute fire, reminds me a lot of termina, which is a band I like, in other words, absolute fire
The meaning behind this song is terrifying. Needs a music video about a demon that feeds off somebodys fears making them come true before their eyes. All while they are perfectly aware of the demon but no body else can see it. Showing how progressively it causes more problems in their life the less they try to face it head on.
The growls gives me goosebumps 💥💣⚡🔥
God damn, this bangs 🤤
God, you guys are absolutely incredible. It's insane!!
The screams remind of Aaron Pauley circa his Jamies Elsewhere days. This band is siiiick!
Awesome song and band! 👍🏻

Never clicked on something so quick in my life! It's about damn time! I've probably listened to Butterfly every single day since the video for 'Reptile' came out. Keep 'em coming boyeeeees!!!!

Tbh I Love UNFD bands.

But thornhill is dope as hell

Northill
Some dead letter circus vibes, loving it 😎🤘
@Rhys’s Lowlux in the cleans,
Just found this song, can't stop listening!!!!!!!!!
Thornhill rocks I recently discovered after someone had reacted to arkangel and I fell in love that song and Jacob is my favorite vocalist and honestly he’s pretty cute that just my opinion.🥰
This song hit me harder than the 90 mph fastball I wore to the dome today.
Thank you metalcore mix for introducing this song to me
Had my first mosh to this song at one of there shows in Melbourne, I’ll tell ya what, There is no feeling like it
This is good man
0:30 seconds in and I already love it
Thornhill is the perfect modern rock band..
This is progmetal my guy
So if this goes by modern rock, I am looking forward to listening to a bit of Thornhill, Northlane and Architects on the public radio right after Coldplay and Nickelback. :D
@@parish3281 I said rock...not pop and pop rock
Chris Atwater nah. This is aight.
This is metalcore with tinges of prog

Mira, otro argentino q escucha thornhill, saludos desde Rosario
Everything about this band is awesome, but I'm only a few seconds in right now and that guitar is SO SICK.
Sick riff
Wow your come back
The trial of thy father is a keeper saints hear their own cries yet thy hinder at judgement revelation brews
this is amazing! reminds me of northlane
Fuck yeah!
Vocals as good as old Northlane, technicals/writing as good as new Northlane = Better than Northlane!!
@@LAMBOJESUS You'll be eating your words when NLs new album drops
I remember them saying in an interview that they were inspired by northlane (in the same way that northlane was inspired by architects)
More like Monuments :)
Pure attack!!
As much as I enjoyed Heroine and it's unique sound and style. This kind of sound and haunting lyrics from Thorny still gets me going 🔥
Thornhill are gona be biiiigggggggg boiii
Holy fuck the bois are back!!! Their last ep was such a masterpiece, cannot freaking wait to get an album from them!
This shit goes so hard I love it 👊🏼
