Removing Chrome Window trim (Exterior) Mercedes

Is very easy to remove the Chrome trims from this Mercedes ML. Unusually for a lot of Mercedes models the front chrome trim is under the mirror and in order to remove the chrome trim you need to remove first the mirror, but not for this model. To removing the trim is ever easy but problem is its really hard to reinstalled.... you didn't show that...

It can be done but usually the paint well peal off because the chrome surfaces are r not so adherent

Lord Aragorn if you ask a paint shop to paint your Chrom trims they will explain you that the paint will start to peel of after a few years. Better wrap them is cheaper and you can remove the vinyl later.

If you need to replace the rubber weatherstripping seal, do you have to replace the whole chrome trim or can you just replace the rubber part?
