I always struggled with a bad right slice ! I got the sim max D-type and it actually made my shots much more consistent and straighter. So much so it almost felt like I was cheating 😂
Gentle draw for me . Mark you had the TM Sim 12 degree set on it's lower loft setting which is going to set the face in its most open position.
Exactly 👍
Totally agree 👍
This is correct
Also in the lower setting . Besides being open more , it also has a flatter lie angle . Wondered what would be the difference if he closed the face and went to upright position.
I think the Callaway was in D setting also but could be wrong on that one.
That's if you line it up by sitting it on the ground. If you aim the face where your target is and then grip the club, you can overide the open face. As mentioned below though, lie angle may have a small effect on it but not so much with low lofted clubs. Face to path will have a much greater effect on the result.
“Fade” I would love to turn my slice to a draw but I think taming it to a fade is probably more realistic 😂😂
B21 give me reduced slice and straighter shot. Best sound I had in my 40 years golfing…love it
Best real world review I’ve seen in a long time. Thank you.. this does raise questions with other similar drivers such as Tsi1 and maybe even the Mavrik Max. Please keep doing this test; anxious to see round 2.
"Fade"
It is just easier to control and works well on my course.
"draw"
would love to hit just one shape and not play lucky guess which way it will go off each tee
What shape would I like to hit 😂 a “FUNCTIONAL” one
Like to hit a power fade
I did hit a high push, and bought a Mavrik a week before the Bertha was announced. Rather than trade, i learned how to hit a driver properly.
This is EXACTLY the comparison video I've been searching for! Honestly, I love it when it goes dead STRAIGHT!
“I HATE CUT BALLS”
I would prefer to hit the ball straight instead of my fade/slice.
“DRAW”
I would love to hit a draw, the slice is killing me :(
I have b21 and love it.Much less spin and slight draw.I use to have M1 Taylor which hit higher and couldn't draw even with weights move to lower and draw .
I just recently tested drivers in July. SIM, SIM MaxD And Ping G410. The Big Bertha had not been released at the time. Both the SIM and G410 had the weight in the draw position. They all helped my slice either by straight shots or a slight fade. However, with a bad swing/strike, I could still get a nasty slice out of all three! At the end of the day, I went with the regular SIM. Just enough extra distance for me to choose over the others.
I always wanted to turn my slice into a draw, but after seeing so many pros hit stunning consistent fades, I would be more than happy if I could tame my slice into something resembling that. Anything that saves me having to chop out on my 2nd.
"Straight"
Hitting a fade at the moment and want to keep that shape if not reduce it slightly. Have a hip problem so rotation can be an issue so certain club set ups can help with that.
Depends on which hole and wind direction. Prone to hook or slice if I’m not on it and don’t commit to the shot
As a 21 handicap I'm happy if the ball goes forward. Usually hit a fade and occasionally a slice then over compensate with a pull left.
I have a slice but I do like the power fade. I currently play the Cobra F-MAX offset and it allows me to hit a power fade or just straight.
I just want to hit fairways more often. My slice is spoiling my game and keeping my handicap high. Both drivers look lovely!
I always been a callaway man. But I do like the way the sim looks expecially the sim 2
The cut shaped shot
My miss with the driver is left, so I am working on getting my swing more neutral, instead of inside and out in the downswing.
Fade. I have a problem of missing both ways big hook or a big slice. If I am driving well tends to be a slight fade.
Big Bertha I trialed and looked lovely behind the ball and brought back some fond memories of many a year ago ....I do prefer a slight draw shape to a faded drive .
Like the look of the Bertha better Sim just looks crazy with the bottom rail
Happy to hit slight fade just looking for more consistency
"Fade" - this summer has allowed me to play and practice more than usual ... for the most part I've been able to tame my slice and hit a confident fade. On my best days I feel like I can control face to path more and am learning to hit a baby draw. Goal is to be able to shape drives both ways to suit the course layout. "I HATE CUT BALLS"
Miss is a big slice, love to be able to hit a controlled little fade and keep it in play every tee shot.
"I hate cut balls"
I would love a soft fade, currently have the massive push slice to the point I have started just using my 19 degree hybrid of the tee - help me big bertha, you're my only hope!!
Id like to hit the straight and far setting myself. Draw and fade sound great but im more of a woods player myself
High baby draw is my favourite ball flight
Fade. I usually hit a mega slice and would love that to change to a slight fade.
I had a fade but with the sim D I have a draw now. Love it
I can still fade it but cured my slice for sure
I am interested in both these drivers, because I really need to correct my slice. The Draw on these clubs would put me right where I need to be. I am a mid handicapper golfer with golf speeds of 75 to 80.
I have been working on drawing my ball but I have only been successful a few times. I don’t think there is more beautifully shot in all of golf.
Fade. I'd love to get my regular left to right shape back. I've developed a little two way miss of late.
My current swing is either my natural slice or an over compensated hook so I’d love to have a gentle draw.
I like to hit a small fade that's a pull cut (starts left of target and finishes just right of centerline). My miss tends to be an over-fade (yeah, it's a slice).
DRAW
Predictable draw would be great to replace my current mix of a pull-hook alternating with a push-slice
Currently tamed a slice to a fade, would like to try straight to draw!!
“Fade” shots are my go-to. Works well with courses out here in California; wide and long holes with slope mainly to the right.
For me it's the look on my eye and I would go for the Big Bertha nowt wrong with the TM just fancy the Berths that bit more.
Honestly the one that finds the short grass. Consistency is more important to me. Finding a club that helps eliminate a huge number by keeping the ball in play.
I’ve had the B21 for a month and still a slice it, probley grip or just my old hockey swing coming in, it’s really annoying as when I allow for the slice I’m in the left hand rough or trees, I might just adjust the head for the draw and try that, that’s life, nothing easy, cheers mate.
When I used the old Campbell driver the ball went high and straight. When I use newer drivers my ball always goes right. Maybe the Big Bertha B12 might help straighten my ball. The prices are so high!
Normally play a slight fade but also have the ability to smash a big slice out. Would love to be able to just keep that nice fade going, instead of worrying that my slice will creep in
10 foot right to left draw is ideal for me... been hitting it with my Big Bertha Steelhead for 20 years... time for an upgrade.
Would love to hit straight or baby fade, draws are cool but to be predictable is key for me
I hit a draw when I keep centered but a big fade when I slide ! A draw bias driver helps me in general !
I would like to calm the draw down. My draw seems to have more heat on it than it should. Thanks Mark!!!
the Bertha for me - always been a Callaway golf fan
I can slice quite well! So working on that is a target! A slight draw would be lovely...
slight draw would be great. currently a high fade sometimes dead straight and well sometimes a strong hook...
I have a terribly unpredictable dispersion and am looking for a club to reduce spin. If I could take the right side out with a club selection, huge benefit.
I fade my irons but really slice the driver. Would love to fade my driver like my irons, would make my game so much easier. I have a Callaway draw driver which seems to help in some games and others not at all. I will be looking into the BBB21 maybe for next year or in 2022, it all comes down to price!
When I'm playing well I prefer a baby fade. Hitting the draw can get at from me. Like Lee Trevino said "you can talk to a fade but a hook won't listen".
Between these two I much prefer the look of the Callaway. Currently game a Nike VRS set 1 degree closed. This allows me to have a face swing path without fear it will get away from me. Currently playing on a 9 handicap.
keep up the good work, love the videos
Gman from the USA.
I’m happy with the fade I hit it’s easier to control but I would just love to hit the ball straight!!!
I prefer a fade since my draw always turns to a massive slice
Fade, I like to aim toward inside left ruff and see it fade to the middle, 10/15 yard fade if all is working. Now if I could make the same swing and aim toward the left middle and end up mainly in the middle/right middle, well even better. Any driver that can give an older player higher ball flight with less spin means more distance to me, that club has possibilities.
"Fade" I like hitting fades because my course has a good few holes where a fade is best but I'd like to hit both fade and draw, I like both clubs
I’d like to hit a push fade. What I hit now is more of a push my key into the ignition and drive home after the starter sees my first drive.
I'd like to hit a more fades but not my usual big fade slices which I'm trying hard to understand in my swing as fairly new to this mind boggling game😎😁👍
I’m looking to straighten my power fade, and have always loved Calloway.
Baby fade would be my preference! But honestly, just not having a double miss would be great.
Straight
I'm not worried about shape, I'd just love to be able to put the ball along where I'm aiming.
I used to slice my driver, in an attempt to stop my out to in path I've developed a push I still occasionally fade the ball, I have to aim left of fairway to get the push to put it on the fairway, which is fine until I do hit that straight shot and lose the ball left.
I would choose the Big Bertha based on the lower spin numbers and the fact that the SIM sits open.
They both sound awesome.
Straight to A little draw preferred but if I could calm down the miss hits left or right win win 👍
I hit a little fade I had a monster slice ,I've worked alot on my grip and coming into the ball from the inside.love to have a draw.
I hit both in a fitting and went with the Callaway B21
I love the draw or straight-ish. I have struggled with the slice. But have been able to minimize it if I work on grip, proper use of legs and hips and eliminate the "armsy" swing.
I play in Las Vegas and have to deal with wind. I need a penetrating high draw and according to the marketing this is the stick to do it. Love ur videos.
Draw is what I want but learning to shallow my driver isn't going fast but is improving.
Ideally, I'd like a nice gentle fade shot shape with my driver
Fade! If I hit a draw, sometimes I’ll push it and stays straight which is a disaster when I’m aiming right side fairway to start the ball.
Slight draw, or slight power fade - I wouldn't mind either. What's most important is predicability.
my game has improved so much this year. started at a 20hcp and now down to a 9.5! getting off the tee is definitely the one thing holding me back. I play a fade that tends to turn into a slice without much control. like most golfers, id love to turn that into a baby draw since that's the drive that plays best on most courses.
I HATE CUT BALLS
Would like to eliminate the right side. Testing the B-21 I agree a toe shot does not curve.
Power Fade all day long. Currently hitting big slices.
All shapes I would like to be able to hit.
Got rid of my slice a long time ago but still usually got more fades than draws
"fade"
I would love to be able to control my slice power fade. Hopefully keep it in the fairway.
Currently hit a slice but would be very happy with a functional "fade"...
I would love to be able to hit both a Fade and Draw. I currently can miss with both sides just more consistently find fairways with the Fade.
I HATE CUT BALLS
I’d just love to be able to consistently make contact with the ball!!!
I am a supper slice monster try all kinds of ways to make my swing correction think I would try the Big Bertha and hope it will; work for me.
I'm happy fade or draw - just want it to be consistent!
I think you see more fade with the SIM because you have it set to lower which opens the face 4 degrees.
Used to hit big slice. Happy to hit baby fade.
Definitely like hitting soft fades
I am hitting my driver pretty straight but would love to hit a gentle draw as it would really suit my golf course
DRAW.
I currently hit a fade/slice and would love to calm that down.
I hit a slice, but have learned to play it as long as I have room to hit it out to the left far enough then let it come back to the fairway. I have trouble if I don't have room to let it move left and slice back . I'm looking for a driver to reduce the room I need to hit it out left and still come back and stay in the fairway. Looking for a driver to take a little slice out and straighten my drive slightly and get more distance from that. Thanks.
I'd like to be able to calm my slice down into a controlled fade, that DJ power fade
I would just like a consistent little draw, and have been working on that, but still have an out to in path, with open club face, hard to change when had that for so long lol.
Hit "draws" all day with my old power circle driver one day I may get lucky and actually not be embaresed by my bag and clubs but love this video and maybe I would be able to "fade" it bit more if I actually won
Hit a slice but would love to be able to get a nice draw to get some more roll on my drives
A gentle draw,very nice.
“Draw”, just love the look and ball flight of one
mostly straight with a slight draw would be ideal. My current shape is a fade which I feel I am losing some distance.
Just bought a Mavrik Max driver, but i sure would like to try out the B21 or even the Sim max D for that matter...
