Pyroclastic I'm no where near as good as this guy but I've been playing for 2 years and I only started getting better when I played tabs of a songs I enjoy (the first one was rorkes drift by sabaton) And I know barely any music theory or scales. It's good to know that stuff for freestyling but that takes time. Other than that, play guitar if you have a passion for it and good luck. I had lesson but they only really helped me to learn chords early on.
