After seeing your review and knowing the compromises of the 15 pro, I took my sealed 15 pro max back to the Apple store. I tried the 15 pro and 15 in the shop with the staff and ordered a 15 pro. I prefer the size and lenses of the 15 pro. I knew all about the EU and usb c. I knew most of the advantages of the pro series. But your review was for me the most useful. Thanks again and have a great weekend. Keep doing your reviews in every day weather and not optimal. It has been forever raining here in England as well. So your real world review helped a lot.
@@motomoto898 my present phone is an iphone 8 plus which I bought from launch. I prefer the size, feel and lenses of the 15 pro. The 15 too I like the feel. I was not at ease with the 15 pro max. I prefer the compromises of battery, screen size and to feel. To the different lenses, battery length and size of the pro max. I would just try them all in an Apple store and what suits you.
@@FWild-eb1rd I would say about the same as in the review. It depends if you can charge it in the car when out and about. I can live with. The overall opportunity cost is worth it for me.
Fantastic video jacklyn, love reviews like this, it feels very natural. Should definitely do more reviews like this. Did you start at 100 at quite early?
Higher power draw from A17. Poor software optimization to this point. iOS 17 issues. It will improve and either way the smaller Pro models were never as good as the Max models but the gap has grown. I have never owned a Max, highly prefer size of regular Pro so I am upset about it as well but it truly remains to be seen how well it will do. I mean, if highly used apps like IG are making these phones run extra hot and drain more battery than they should then you know there needs to be a LOT of optimization done. iOS 17 even has my 13P running warmer. Hopefully by 17.2 battery will improve as many seem to think
She is the 10th reviewer that I have heard say that the battery life leaves a lot to be desired. Apple needs to take note. It's the pro model. Battery should be better than the regular models.
its just so sad to see how bad the battery on the 15 Pro is I hope it will get better im buying it soon as a teen im a hard user I hope in the next ios update the battery will get better
It's so funny to see a big smile on your face the entire review due to the rain. You're like a kid in a candy store. I feel like the iPhone gets more similar to Android every year. You did a great job explaining how to change the button from a silent toggle to all those different functions. I feel like it would have taken me a week to figure that out haha. Thanks for being informative, entertaining and fulfilling all at the same time, every single time!
Another great video! I liked the in the rain shooting, great job! Because of battery life maybe the max would be better. Thanks again for your hard work

The Live Transcription thing is extremely useful. Jokes about Apple "catching up" aside, my Pixel 4 XL had it and it was a lifesaver during my college years. Recording lectures was my preferred method, and the transcription was spot on.
Would you recommend this iPhone to an older, non power user? Not myself but someone I know? And is it conceivable that the battery life could be fixed and the heat issues with a software update? Very thorough review!
If you're not a power user get the base or plus imo if you want a bigger screen. Got my wife the base 15, the camera is incredible, you can't even see the titanium on the pro in a case anyway, and she would never notice or care about 120hz. Also, she is in love with that light blue color she has. It really is an amazing phone, has the dynamic island and usb c and it's a couple hundred dollars cheaper than the Pro. That being said, I have a 15 Pro Max on the way because I'm a big nerd and love tech.

I am guessing your battery drain would also have to do with running at 2,000 nits. If you need it, that's great. If you don't and you're using it anyway. It will just drain the battery like crazy! That is just everything! My iMac at lower display at night around or less than half the brightness even when doing things on it is around 16 to 20 watts usage. Full brightness is around 67 watts. Major difference.
You can’t not need it and be using it anyway. 2,000 nits peak brightness is for when using it outdoors, and it’s automatic. You can’t manually adjust it that high when in, for example, a dark room.
I love this type of video, and your approach is great-though I’d like to point out a few clarifications/corrections for more regular users who don’t necessarily go through specs sheets, and who buy an iPhone based on reviews like these. •Per the currently available information, hardware-wise, all three cameras on the 15 Pro are the exact same ones found in the 14 Pro. All changes are purely software-based, except for the new “lens coating”. The same is true for the 15 Pro Max model as well, except for the Telephoto lens which has a new tetraprism design that enables that farther 5x zoom level. Also new here regarding 5x Telephoto is a 3D sensor-shift stabilization and autofocus module. •The weight difference is not 50 grams-it’s 19. The iPhone 15 Pro weights 187 g, down from 206 g for the iPhone 14 Pro. •USB-C port is 3.2 Gen 2, not 3.0. Included cable does not hinder charging speed-a separate cable is needed for faster file transfers etc. •Charging via USB-C isn’t faster compared to the 14 Pro’s Lightning. Though the phones are the first to support upcoming Qi2 wireless charging standard, and its faster max. 15W-compared to the predecessor’s, Qi, 7.5W-charging, which brings it on par with Apple’s MagSafe. •The display isn’t brighter. 14 Pro series also featured up to 2,000 nits of brightness. •The Portrait Mode in Camera is unchanged. What actually is new-and quite useful-is that you don’t have to swipe over to take those shots. You just snap a photo like you always do, and if it’s of a human, a dog, or a cat, the phone will save Depth Data which enables you to later add that Bokeh effect to the photo, change the focus point and such. If the phone detects it, you see a circled ƒ button in the lower left corner. Also, if you tap to focus on something before pressing the shutter, aforementioned Depth Data will also be saved-as long as it isn’t landscape and those kinds of photos. •By ”Like having 7 lenses” Apple refers to: A) Ultra Wide: Macro | 0.5x (13 mm) B) Wide/Main: 1x (24 mm) | 1.2x (28 mm) | 1.5x (35 mm) | 2x (48 mm) “Optical Zoom” by cropping on that 48MP sensor and producing 12MP photos-it is more complicated than this, but I’ve given the easiest explanation C) Telephoto: 3x (77 mm on 15 Pro) *OR* 5x (120 mm on 15 Pro Max) 15x zoom is purely digital, therefore it isn’t considered “a lens”. Any zoom level between those Xx values is digital, ie. if you’re pinching to zoom, or turning the “zoom wheel”. For the best quality results, use those zoom/focal buttons exclusively-this also applies to any and all prior iPhone models which have more than one rear-facing camera. Tip: Check iPhonedo video on the overheating issue. Spoiler alert: Instagram.
Great info and Great video! I've been using the 13 mini for over a year now and considering the upgrade to the 15 pro.. the 13 mini was my first Iphone.. I was all Android prior. I'm gonna wait for some views on the Pixel 8 .. it's the only other I'm considering. If the 13 mini had a 90hz display I probably would just wait another year or so.
Did you skip going over night photos? That’s my main gripe with my XS. You should do a short follow up to see if the iOS 17.0.3 update improved battery life.
i'll get the titanium black for my first iphone phone. i was a long time android user what interests me on ios ecosystem when i bought an M1 ipad pro and i like the smoothness specially it is on 120hz display the purpose on that before is for games but now i use if for art stuff like procreate. i do felt afraid when i saw the phone gets wet from the rain then i realized it has ip68 😅 it is a detailed review. good job. btw are you using a case for that or you love using with no case? and i also see a lot of complaints about the overheating i do have mixed feelings whether to buy iphone 15 pro or not.

My nephew's iPhone 15 Pro overheats so much that he said that so hard to use. The phone is great like you said but why don't all reviewers don't talk about it. Let's do Real Review like Flossy Carter does. I believe his review so much. Your phone did not overheat at all? These days since everyone gets sponcer so hard to believe she or he is saying the correct things.
It's very bright for 6am. Were you using dual esim? How was the network performance when the phone was under 20%? It's commendable you were not using a case and went with stock phone on a rainy day
I'm really confused about which colour should I go for, I checked out both Natural and the Blue and still I can't pick one. Which one should I go with ?
She started the day at 10am with 77% and was using it constantly with full or near full brightness lol. I have an iPhone 12 mini and it easily lasts me the entire day. Depends on how much you’re on your phone. If you’re a giant dork who’s constantly on your phone all day you should be investing in an Anker battery bank anyway.
The video/camera quality in the beginning of the video is extremely good while it's still natural, so I can see the difference the camera makes with the 15 Pro for sure. Interesting filming for a review as always. 👍
Jacklyn there’s one thing I’d like to see in your reviews. Many of us use our phones on the handlebars of our motorcycles (gps) a test to see the durability of the camera and the video quality would be a great addition to your reviews.
In day to day use, I’ve found no difference in battery life to my previous iPhone 13 mini. So I have no complaints here, as the length of time is acceptable for my use. Also, mine does not overheat.
Thanks for a straightforward review .. I like the fact your review isn’t just full of blank adjectives .. “sooo awesome “ so fantastic .. sooo amaaaaawazing…
I’m still sporting my 13 pro max and totally love it. I was in Apple at the mall and honestly felt cheap to me compared to the 13pm. Other than that I can’t stand that dynamic island and won’t upgrade until that’s gone. So hopefully the 16ultra dumps that island
People use iphones like its is the most important thing in their lives. Consumerism has hit us to our core. Instead of prioritising what really matters to man kind, we keep ourselves busy with ios ecosystems and 40 grams lighter weight. And that seems to be revolutionary to us now. Wow.
I saw a recent video comparing battery life on all the iPhones, and this one had the worst time out of all of them. It's apparently the combination of the new chip, coupled with a smaller battery to fit into that chassis. If someone is interested in the 15 Pro, get the MAX version...it doesn't suffer from lackluster battery like the non-max does. In a world of 5,000 mAh standard battery size in most Android phones now there's really no excuse for Apple to not up the battery capacity across all it's devices. Move things around inside the phone if you have to, jeez. OR heaven forbid...add a couple mm of thickness... * gasp * smh
Just turn off always on display, improves significantly the battery on 15 Pro, learned this from the 14 Pro as I downsized from 14 Pro Max. AOD is a luxury for bigger phones like Pro Max or S23 Ultra with almost no impact in battery, but not recommended for smaller phones, I'm very happy with my 15 Pro, my battery last all day and way easier to carry around.
USB-C has been on Android phones for more than just a few years. :P Those animations... They are like 1 to 2 seconds long! I'm guessing that is to try and try and not show off the fact that they went with a 60Hz screen, again! Why was there no mention of the display being 60Hz? Definitely don't like marketing speak, 7 lenses, when it really isn't. That battery life sounds very disappointing. Especially on a flagship device. I get 2 days out of my s23 Ultra with moderate to heavy use. I can drain it fully in a day if I never put the device down but that's really not typical use. Really liked the rain vibe! The night video and photography looked great! Definitely noticed the reduced lens flare, which I personally greatly appreciate. Where you took a picture of the bridge. I was hoping you were going to take a picture through the tree branches to see how well the camera could actually differentiate between everything in the image and to see how post processing would affect that. Definitely an excellent video, Jacklyn! What was lunch? It looked delicious. :D
@@kpatt2006 You're right. That display sure didn't seem like 120Hz but maybe that was just some tweaks that need to happen with the UI and camera app to make it a little more smooth.
Depends on your usage. If battery is important to you, go with the 15 Plus. If you are more of a camera person, go with the 15 Pro. If you are both, go with the 15 Pro Max. If you are poor like me, go with the base 15 which has even better battery than the 15 Pro.
I would not recommend anything other than a Pro iphone if the person is coming from android, like I am. Simply because they're probably used to 120Hz refresh buttery smooth screens. That means you have to get a Pro model. Maybe it's just me, but I can't go back to using 60Hz screens because they look jittery when scrolling. So, for the sweet 120Hz screen, gotta get the Pro or Pro Max, depends on your size preference. Otherwise, if you're coming from a really old android with only a 60Hz screen, then sure the 15 Plus is fine, and it has the best battery life of the new iphone lineup.

If the phone detects it, you see a circled ƒ button in the lower left corner.
Also, if you tap to focus on something before pressing the shutter, aforementioned Depth Data will also be saved-as long as it isn’t landscape and those kinds of photos.
•By ”Like having 7 lenses” Apple refers to:
A) Ultra Wide: Macro | 0.5x (13 mm)
B) Wide/Main: 1x (24 mm) | 1.2x (28 mm) | 1.5x (35 mm) | 2x (48 mm) “Optical Zoom” by cropping on that 48MP sensor and producing 12MP photos-it is more complicated than this, but I’ve given the easiest explanation
C) Telephoto: 3x (77 mm on 15 Pro) *OR* 5x (120 mm on 15 Pro Max)
15x zoom is purely digital, therefore it isn’t considered “a lens”.
I was counting but lost track of how many time you said "Andriod's had this..."
Plus, love that blue dress. 😉
Oh good! I have my iced coffee and in a coffee shop! Can't wait to see this been waiting since the phone dropped!
This comment just made me whole day 🙏🏻 love this
This is why you’re the #1 tech RUclipsr in the east coast 🤗
Ahhhhh haha an honor thank you
Great info and Great video!
Awesome really day review as always dear
Did you skip going over night photos? That’s my main gripe with my XS. You should do a short follow up to see if the iOS 17.0.3 update improved battery life.
Am thinking of going for the 15 plus cause of the battery
What a marvelous video. Thank you from India.
Thank you so much this is such a kind comment 🙏🏻
Love this one Jacklyn !
Thank you so much so happy to hear
i'll get the titanium black for my first iphone phone. i was a long time android user what interests me on ios ecosystem when i bought an M1 ipad pro and i like the smoothness specially it is on 120hz display the purpose on that before is for games but now i use if for art stuff like procreate. i do felt afraid when i saw the phone gets wet from the rain then i realized it has ip68 😅 it is a detailed review. good job. btw are you using a case for that or you love using with no case? and i also see a lot of complaints about the overheating i do have mixed feelings whether to buy iphone 15 pro or not.
Is this phone camera quality really worth spending $1500+ CAD on it?
Great content !!! Q1- when you share contact info with another person, they need to have iphone 14- 15?
Unreal information delivered so conversationally and so engaging that it doesn't feel like learning. Lots about iOS 17 and the new product that I did not know before watching this video. I need to pick up an iPhone 15 it looks like!
Love your channel so much - by far the best (and most enthusiastic) tech youtuber in the business!
the namedrop feature also....next level

Also so grateful to call u a good friend - ur the best thank uuuuuu
Beautiful ❤️
We are waiting to your pixel 8 and 8pro reviewing?
My nephew's iPhone 15 Pro overheats so much that he said that so hard to use. The phone is great like you said but why don't all reviewers don't talk about it. Let's do Real Review like Flossy Carter does. I believe his review so much. Your phone did not overheat at all? These days since everyone gets sponcer so hard to believe she or he is saying the correct things.
Great review and I enjoy theses out Door day life review 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Keep up the amazing work . 😉
Thank you so much
So honored u like this style
It's very bright for 6am. Were you using dual esim? How was the network performance when the phone was under 20%? It's commendable you were not using a case and went with stock phone on a rainy day
I'm really confused about which colour should I go for, I checked out both Natural and the Blue and still I can't pick one. Which one should I go with ?
Great review
Can you share link to the wallpaper please?
Thanks
Battery is not cool.
I suppose it’s how it compares with the iPhone 14 pro and the iPhone 15 that matters.
A little too early to tell to be honest
She started the day at 10am with 77% and was using it constantly with full or near full brightness lol. I have an iPhone 12 mini and it easily lasts me the entire day. Depends on how much you’re on your phone. If you’re a giant dork who’s constantly on your phone all day you should be investing in an Anker battery bank anyway.
@@CordeliaLemonsshe’s also using 5g that ish eats ur battery up
that’s why i’m keeping my 13 pro max my phone last me all day
The video/camera quality in the beginning of the video is extremely good while it's still natural, so I can see the difference the camera makes with the 15 Pro for sure. Interesting filming for a review as always. 👍
Thank you so much
Does this cellphone can run all days long battery or similar 14 series?
Just returned the 15 Pro and went back to my 13 mini
Jacklyn there’s one thing I’d like to see in your reviews. Many of us use our phones on the handlebars of our motorcycles (gps) a test to see the durability of the camera and the video quality would be a great addition to your reviews.
In day to day use, I’ve found no difference in battery life to my previous iPhone 13 mini. So I have no complaints here, as the length of time is acceptable for my use. Also, mine does not overheat.
Best tech reviewer!
Ah wow honored 🙏🏻
what would you pick for low vison the 15 pro or the pro max
Your video quality continues to improve! Keep up the good work!
Ahhh thank you so much Jason
So honored u liked it
Still this is the best way to test the battery backup
Thanks for a straightforward review .. I like the fact your review isn’t just full of blank adjectives .. “sooo awesome “ so fantastic .. sooo amaaaaawazing…
Hahahah thank you so much
So honored u like it
I’m still sporting my 13 pro max and totally love it. I was in Apple at the mall and honestly felt cheap to me compared to the 13pm. Other than that I can’t stand that dynamic island and won’t upgrade until that’s gone. So hopefully the 16ultra dumps that island
Man the battery life is not good! Makes you miss the 13 series for that battery life was great!
I agree I have iPhone 13. Still :)
But get the iPhone 14 pro soon. :)
Brilliant Video Jacklyn, loads of information and content about the new iPhone..hope you didn’t get too wet in the rain haha.🙏🙏
Your fits are always so good!
Ah wow thank hou
Thanks for this great video. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for watching
lol how your battery draining so fast? I usually get around 7/8 hours screen time
You are so awesome! I just got the iPhone 14 pro three months ago, so I’m not upgrading.
Thank uuu ahh
Love following your continued progress on this channel. Keep bringing us this content!
Ahhh thank you so much for feeling this way 🙏🏻
People use iphones like its is the most important thing in their lives. Consumerism has hit us to our core. Instead of prioritising what really matters to man kind, we keep ourselves busy with ios ecosystems and 40 grams lighter weight. And that seems to be revolutionary to us now. Wow.
do you always use light mode on your phone
How about overheating, will it be solved?
@@eskeda03hi. Is there a difference in battery life from 14 pro to 15 pro?
@@freedomsdead647after two weeks using it, I don’t feel an improvement, pretty much the same performance.
Have you use a case for your iPhone?
Hi I'm Hafiz from Malaysia watching your video 🇲🇾😊
Ahhhhh hi!!!
There was no mention of her display being 60Hz because it's not 60Hz. This is a Pro review, not a regular iphone 15.
@@kpatt2006 You're right. That display sure didn't seem like 120Hz but maybe that was just some tweaks that need to happen with the UI and camera app to make it a little more smooth.
Excellent Demonstration 📱🎬📱🎬📱👍
Thank you so much
@@NBTJacklyn Lots of people there😁
That does look like an amazing phone but still may wait for the iPhone 16 Pro max but sweet video there keep up the cool work
Does using the low power mode make a difference on the battery life?
Of course
does your 15pro gets heats up?
iOS 17.0.3 seems to provide better battery life and to reduce overheating on my iPhone 13 Pro
as you mentioned...Video Quality on 15 Pro is Unbeatable!
a comparison would be great...🙃
Not good with the battery life . I wonder if there would be much difference between that or a pro max
would be nice and interesting you if shot the whole thing in just the iPhone. i mean they have LOG right?
Is it worth to buy 15 pro if you're switching from Android to ios?
Yes
Great review, your videos are always so awesome. I absolutely love how you use the phones you review in everyday use and your thoughts on the phones you review. You are very relatable and it's always a good time watching your videos! Great work as always, never stop being the great creator that you are!
