No they aren't, the only tanks with a doctrine like this are Leopard 2s, no other tank hides behind a hill sniping Ww2 and cold war tanks weren't even designed with that in mind (excluding missile launchers, the only vehicles designed for this)

Only Russian tanks are designed to be used in a fast attack because their Doctrine revolved around the fear of getting nuked at any moment. Nato would have been on the defensive not the offensive.
I had one game where I found the perfect sniper spot, I got 3 kills without using the laser range finder, I just have a really good guess on the distance on where they were, then I moved closer and got sniped myself

@Shadowxat I like your playstyle, I usually play as an AA support even though a lot of people said it's boring, but ruining CAS player fun is much better, the feeling of shooting down a CAS before they an drop their payload and then seeing them quiting is the sweetest thing ever
I wish we could spawn ground units in Air Sim. Fight the AI ground battles. Ambush or escort convoys. Defend bases and convoys with SPAA or just drive around the map. Helis and ships too.
My issue with these maps is that no matter what button I bind it to my range finder doesn’t work. I have to manually aim at range while the enemy team gets to basically aim bot me
I’m rather neutral on the idea of big maps I just hate the fact that almost all the big maps we have are mostly flat/have some small hills but overall provide very little cover other than some trees and bushes. It’d be much more interesting to have some more dynamic large maps

It's not, in city maps there's actual flanks you can do, ambushes and more On the bigger maps it just leopard beat everything else, peak bang duck peak bang duck That's not fun for anyone other then the leopard

The fact that you don't even mention other vehicles only shows your bias agains Leopard and lack of knowledge about modern MBT design.

If you spend few minutes of research about british tank developement you would found out that rifled barrel is relict of old times when british didn't want to change anything and keep their tank 100% british made. The only oddity is Abrams but that vehicle was designed to fulfill several roles at the same time. But the fact still is that Germans are not the only ones using hulldown as their main tactic. Before you make any more comments just check with Google. You find how wrong you are and learn something new.
