The possession scenes are totally over the top, but probably what viewers want to see. Not a single prayer in the film is authentic and Catholic. Neither is the exorcism. The film uses the small prayer and chant book for visitors of normal masses, instead of the special exorcism book of the Vatican. No commissioned exorcist would endanger students with such cases of possession. There are also no "dungeons", which would not be allowed by the state authorities. Only psychiatry or care at home, with exorcisms in the church. Lay people present, such as nuns, can pray along with the priest. One turns in prayers to God, Jesus, Mary and to Archangel Michael. The main character of the film, the nun, is dressed too casually, has too long hair, is disobedient, stubborn, vain and self-centered. Puts on airs. Does not keep her prayer times. Does not go to communion. She has not confessed, so the demon uses the secretive against her. She is incapable of praying and does not know a single Catholic prayer by heart, nor does she know how to pray the Rosary, which is common among nuns. Tragic, because even when demons and the devil afflict her, she can't think of a prayer, not even the "Our Father in Heaven", which would have protected her immediately... What remains is an inauthentic scary movie made by people who are not Catholic. Ps, other Christian communities, Islam, etc. also perform exorcisms.

Poor
i thought it was called the devils prey
No, at the end of "Prey for the Devil" it said "The Devil's Light" which is towards a second movie
The film was originally titled "The Devil's Light" but was later changed to "Prey for the Devil".
