This video took me back to primary school. These were my heroes. Imagine seeing Bobby, Breyten, Slaptjips, Percy, Corne Krige, Toks etc... All legends. I don't think Braam missed a kick all season.
Dude, this is the best video I've seen all year! I remember this season so well. I was in grade 8 at the time and had broken my ankle in two places - the Stormers performances (bar the semi-final fiasco) was the only thing that kept my spirits up. As a born and bred WP/Stormers fan, I dream of one day watching this brand of entertaining rugby again, sadly though, I don't think I ever will.

@@moosa9850 Justin Swart was moved to fullback and Rossouw to left wing by Harry Viljoen back in 97...slaptjios use to give my brother nightmares when he decided to counter attack when he played fullback 😅😅😅

What a team! Legends. So many great Sprigboks in one team. Unbelievably, this team only made the play-offs - and only once! Skinstad, Leonard, Brink, Corne Krige, Boome, Visagie, Van Der Linde, Van Zyl, Van Straaten (and Koen), Rossouw, Daniels, Marinos, De Wet Barry, Fleck, Paulse, Montgomery etc etc.
Ek het daai jaar Boland o/13 gespeel en ons het 'n paar keer voorwedstryde vir Boland se senior span gespeel. John Daniels was by die Stormers vir super 12 en terug by die Boland vir die Currie cup - dit is mos hoe die streek stelsel gewerk het. Hy was die ster van Wellington en ek het ook nog altyd gewonder of ek sy Stormers drieë weer êrens sal sien.
Newlands has such fantastic crowds then.. on average had the highest attendances per game in Super Rugby …sadly Western Province rugby is moving to Cape Town Stadium.

I had season tickets for Newlands on the Railway Stand that year and ‘98. Good old days for WP and the Stormers.
I'm a sharks supporter but you have to appreciate that Stormers team. Pieter Resouw... what a player!

He was forced on to the wing, to make space for Percy Montgomery, Pieters best position was always the fullback.
