The colored waffles are a favorite of my grandkids. Last week I took breakfast sausage and flattened them out the size of the waffle before I cooked them. I put sausage between 2 waffles and made waffle sandwiches that I cut in half.They loved dipping them in syrup. I really love Goetta, so I did the same with that.

You may know this already, but you can use 7 up to soak your apples in, that way they won't taste so strong from the lemon juice.
Also, love the buffalo check dress!
I always used orange juice.

@@LynetteYoder My boys didn't like when I used lemon either, when they were little lol. Then someone shared that tip with me and almost 20 years later, I still do it that way.
@@barbtastad6393 I heard that orange and also pineapple juice, but I never tried either one of those.
When I fly I have a sm.bag with apple slices and orange segments ---they stay nice and fresh when in the same bag.I just squeeze a couple of the orange segments of I don't have any at home. I'm diabetic so I also pack a granola bar or crackers in my "carry on".
